Parker and Jason were great at explaining the membership options and gym fees. I feel like most of us are excited about joining a health club, and more often than not, we bypass the understanding that all gyms have yearly fees and cancellation fees; this is completely normal. In my opinion, the highlights of this gym include the space and variety of rooms available to ensure a great workout. They offer 2-3 different machines for the upper, mid, and lower body, which is great! For advanced fitness enthusiasts, this means you won't have to wait to complete your workout routine. For beginners, I highly recommend hiring one of their skilled personal trainers to start your fitness journey the right way. Any day is a good day to practice self-care. So far, one of my favorite machines is the standing hamstring curl; this machine is a gem, and I'm super happy they have it. The gym is clean, the bathrooms are neat, the weights are organized, and they offer spray bottles with towels for you to wipe down the machines after every use. I have yet to try the classes and provide feedback, or the smoothie bar, hydro massage, and sauna. Eventually, I will. This health club has a lot to offer for everyone, no matter what fitness level you are at. I'm glad I started going here, and I'm looking forward to making new friends.

Q: How can you tell when you meet a CrossFitter? A:…read moreIMMEDIATELY they tell you so. So I'm not sure if that's true, but I will admit that if you do CrossFit, you're always thinking about CrossFit because some muscle group(s) is/are always sore. And if you're thinking about it, you're probably talking about it... CrossFit Toledo is an excellent training facility with excellent instructors. This place is big and clean and equipped with everything you need to learn the craft safely and effectively. Not only can you learn CrossFit here, you can learn to excel at it. If you're motivated, and you listen to the coaches, you can get a kickass workout in this place no matter your CrossFit experience level or fitness level. Warning: Even if you think you're in shape, CrossFit Toledo will expose your weaknesses. Be prepared to deal with this. Again, listen to your coaches, work hard, and you WILL get better. If you're a newbie, you don't have to worry about biting off more than you can chew. Check your ego at the door, learn how to "scale" (that is, learn how to cheat a little while learning the movements and still get an appropriate workout). Also, every new member goes through a couple of "skills" classes where you get, essentially, one-on-one instructions regarding the basic lifts and movements. Workouts; There are 5 classes per day (0600, 1200, 1600, 1700, and 1815), and class size is limited to 12 people. Every class is different. I repeat, every class is different. But, each class is similar in that they all consist of a warmup, a strength phase, and a conditioning phase. There's also a "homebody" option. Even if you have equipment at home, half the benefit of this place is the coaching and the camaraderie. ALSO, there are multiple open-gym sessions through the week. Camaraderie: It's definitely there; this seems like a great group of people. One guy acknowledges that some people call it "CultFit." But hey, can you name ANY fitness pursuit isn't "culty?" Bodybuilding? Culty for the past 80 years. Running? Not as culty as it was, but still very culty. Yoga? Yep, laid back and totally culty. Don't worry about it. You can do CrossFit and still be friends with a person who doesn't...but only one. 5 stars!

The gym space is comfortable and feels more like a family run business than a chain business which I truly appreciate. Love the coaching staff with good Crossfit and Olympic lifting experience. The culture of the gym is very friendly and feels very accepting to outsiders, including myself as seemingly the only gay Crossfitter in Toledo. I definitely give all my thumbs up to CFT. Also, very kid and dog friendly, which is great.

When this gym first opened up a few years ago- it was top notch. We moved gyms and joined Crunch…read morebecause it was honestly one of the best gyms in the Toledo area. However, over the years, the facility has lost all the features that made me join in the first place. I pay for the peak membership ($25 a month) and so does my husband. So $50 a month we pay for a membership at Crunch. My husband and I go several times a week, so we are very aware of how often things are being disregarded. This place is ALWAYS popping. Morning- busy. Lunch- busy. Evening-busy. It being busy really isn't a huge deal, but when MANY machines are broken or need maintenance, then it's more of a nuisance. For months they've only had 3 stair steppers functioning (out of 6). Today- went to the gym and found only TWO are working!! Now people awkwardly stand behind the steppers waiting to use them.... How awesome when I'm trying to get a workout in.... Can't wait for creepers to make that excuse... They've had signs on them stating "I need a rest day".... I understand things happen and machines break down, but it's ridiculous how long they've been down. Like I said- the place is always busy! Honestly, at least 50-80+ people there at all times. They only have a couple of hand sanitizer dispensers and they have been empty for months. I carry around my own sanitizer in my gym bag. The women's bathroom has had a single stall closed since December at least, with a silly sign stating "on my last rep I sustained an injury" or something like that. I checked today and it still had a sign on it and was closed. My husband said that in the men's bathroom, they've had a sink broken for a while too. Ridiculous! The reason why I left my old gym to come here was because of constant machines being broken and maintenance being poor. It's annoying paying this much for a membership and not being able to use the facility fully. And like I said, it's always busy!! People pay to go here. Use those funds to maintain your facility. All in all, if someone asked me if they should join - I'd say no. And I know several people who have left for all these reasons. Sad to see for a facility that was once top notch.

We found a class, paid via Venmo before the class and we were signed up. When we got there we checked in, got a cubby to put our things and got in line to receive all the instructions on how to get started. We got sized for the harness (which I will say when it's your first time, it's trial and error for sure) and then we're ready to go. It was a pretty intense workout and man was it fun! I can't remember the name of our instructor but it was the 1pm class on 3/9 and she was awesome! I'm really exited to start coming here in hr morning to co tongue to love my body and get some type of schedule down.

Equipment is very old & some is beyond it's useful/safe life. The flooring is a trip hazard at the very least. The owner requested "secret santa" gifts from members to gift her gym equipment and more. My first visit was a busy holiday class. The employee I encountered on arrival was very rude & abrupt. I later found out this was the owner! I had registered & paid for the class ahead of attending. I was questioned immediately by the owner to "prove it". Though I arrived early as it was my first class I was not allowed to start on-time until I could retrieve the proof of the payment made directly to the gym. The gym owner refused to validate it in their system & instead required me to retrieve my phone to show her the payment made to her directly! Class was absolutely chaotic. I chalked it up to it being a high attendance class that they were not prepared for. I attended another class In Jan. Much to my disappointment it was the same chaotic unorganized & unsafe class. The owner was the instructor, however she was taking her own class & not attending to leading the class. Bizarre & unprofessional. I retrieved a physical gift certificate at the gym for a previous purchase. The balance remaining is $140. The gym owner is now refusing to honor the gift certificate.
