During the recent ice storm in Ontario, I lost power, my sump pump stopped and my downstairs area…read moreflooded with about 20 centimetres (8 inches) of water. Huge, huge thanks to Plumbing Possibilities in Peterborough! After enduring flooding when sump pump stopped during the power outage, they came to the rescue! I had a battery backup sump pump installed (yes I know a little late) so this won't happen again. It was scheduled for Friday and I was 'pickled tink' when they said they could do it Thursday. Cory arrived and in less than 2 hours, I was set up! Super, super nice guy. My well water pump also took a hit. I asked him about it, and he said the part needed replacing (it was under water). He would TRY and come back the next day (they were busy!). He showed up Friday morning just before 10. After 5 days without water, he got it fixed and good to go before noon. I had to get my hot water tank replaced, and the last thing he did was turn the water on to start filling it. Seven days without a shower, that one last night felt incredible! I am very grateful they were able to schedule me in as quickly as they did. I am a little thick when it comes to mechanical workings, and Cory was so patient explaining how the new battery backup pump works, and the workings of the well water pump. This is something my late husband would have handled, and I was terrified on how I would deal with it. The relief I felt when both jobs were done, can't be put in words. Thanks again to Matthew MacLean, for his recommendation, and Jackie at Plumbing Possibilities for fitting me in to their schedule so quickly. And Cory, for your most excellent work and patience.
