When I said I'm registering online he interrupted me and said to do what the papers on the door say and he will give me paperwork. He did not hear me. He was mean, rude and his body language depicted his tone. I am a female veteran trying to relax for the weekend with my daughter and this kind of attitude is least we need.

There is a on site dump station. We were offered free firewood! There is a nice pond for fishing and there is a boat ramp. Not sure if they allow motors. There is an updated playground, and a basketball court, with a basketball available so you don't need to bring your own. The shower house is clean but not heated, with two showers. The price is as cheap also at only $20 a night. The only downside is the train tracks you have to cross when entering but we only heard the train once or twice the entire weekend, and luckily not at night. Will stay again!

The campsite has access to a number of trailhead, including the main trailhead to Jemez Falls and a few of the Hot Springs in the area. During the colder months, they keep the gates closed, so people walk the road to where the trailhead starts. Even in April, where most of the snow has melted they still have the gates closed, and the campsite is not monitored. It really sucks because that extra is not super fun and might kill a little bit of your energy for doing one of the hikes. The Falls Trail is a rather short one but watch out for rock and pinecones. I don't think the Falls are worth a much longer hike. They're pretty small. I really wish they would leave just the access to the Falls open during the day even when the campgrounds themselves are closed. But again at the end of the day, it's free, its nature and definitely worth enjoying. On the camping side of things there is a website and you can make reservations really easily.

Right? So, I haven't been to enough New Mexico fishing lakes to provide an honest assessment. Having that written, it's a nice little lake. Not horrendously far from us city folk in Albuquerque. It has camping spots and is just as accommodating for day use folk as it is for campers. Rather small though, and for the curious, no motorized craft allowed. Just canoes and little blow up guys out there. We went on Father's Day, arrived at about 0730 and we were still hard pressed to lay claim to a good spot. However, by the time we rolled at noon, insane infestation of humans crawling all over, under, and beside one another for a place to cast their line. In fact, as we drove out the forest rangers had the entrance blocked off. It was 100% full! What did that do for the fish catching odds? It ruined it! Or, maybe I'm just a lousy fisherman, IDK. In any case, it wasn't the best day to land that big one. But you know what they say, a bad day of fishing beats a good day at work every time! Give 'em a go, I think you be pleased. Cheers!

A hidden gem in Albuquerque for RVers Nomadland RV Stay is…read moreone of the most unique parks we've visited. We booked a site with a private deck--such a smart touch--and the whole property felt exceptionally clean and thoughtfully laid out. The park is gated and reasonably quiet; we felt safe the entire time. Little conveniences add up here: a pedestrian gate for easy in/out, a fenced dog run, and even tokens for their on-site RV wash if you want to freshen up your rig. Every interaction with staff was pleasant, and the customer service was excellent. We recommend Nomadland RV Stay without hesitation and will absolutely choose it again anytime we're passing through Albuquerque.

They also had a nice long dog run which we appreciate. We pick up dog poop after our dogs and picked up poop that others didn't do. This place is extremely clean and hope other visitors do their part to keep this place nice. We would and will definitely stop here again if it's in our route.
