They are great mechanics. Honest and helpful. I thought the rear brake caliper on my moms car was possibly leaking. Sent here her for the repair. They inspected and said it was not and there were no problems with the brakes. They finished with the car and didn't charge her anything to look at the brakes. Aaron was able to fix my car. It was way cheaper than the other place we had the car. Also we were trying to get a 2nd key fob. Aaron recommended Ironman Locksmith who came to my work and was able to get me a 2nd key fob in under 15 minutes, another great service! I've taken several of my older cars to Dave at Downtown Auto over the years. As I'm a bit of a gearhead myself, I am able to tell if a mechanic is giving me the run around. More than anything else, I can tell you that Dave is honest. On more than one occasion, he has told me that work DOESN'T need to be done. And if he calls to say that something unexpected needs to be fixed, he is always happy to throw the car up on the lift and show you the issue. In 10+ years, I've also never had an issue with any of the work he's done on my cars. I've never had to come back to have work repeated, or had to take a car to another mechanic for a second opinion. I've taken a couple of my cars several times. Prices are very reasonable and repairs are completed in a timely fashion, though sometimes you have to wait a week to get your car in. But they are limited in space and quite busy so I don't fault them for that. They are great at identifying what the issue is and don't try to sell you 6 others things. I dropped off my vehicle overnight and put the key through the drop off box. Promptly the next morning, they called and told me it would be ready the same afternoon!
