Took my vehicle in prior to selling it asking them to check it over for anything wrong, they told me it was all set. Less than 15 minutes of driving it later a good portion of the muffler fell off. They also told my girlfriend it would take 750 dollars to fix her windshield wiper transmission after "checking it out in the shop". It wasn't the transmission, the wiper was stripped and it took twenty seconds to figure that out once we decided to look. 15 dollar replacement at a junkyard was all it needed and now they work perfect. Can't really tell if they were dishonest or just incredibly lazy but either way I wouldn't take my car here. read more

brought my car in to get fixed right before a big car show. called and was told they would be able to do it and get the car back to show ready within a day. this is their version of a $ 600 exhaust repair. after paying them to "fix" it, it blew an exhaust leak in the same spot 2 days later. finally had the chance to pull it apart and i see why. they used rtv..... not a gasket. rtv. they may claim fast service and this is why. they get you out the door fast alright once reaching in your pockets as far as they can. now time to change warped exhaust parts.. EDIT AFTER OWNERS RESPONSE- yeah that's not what happen. they never informed me of poor quality exhaust (by the way it's a 1400 stainless steel exhaust and the COMPANY THEM SELFS INSTALLED) it's not poor quality at all. also ur shotty work blew two days later never said it went back to ur place two days later...reading is hard. if they knew about it they certainly didn't say anything i would have spent the $737.00 (actual price charged ) that they charged to do it and put it towards new pieces instead like anyone would. (notice how they try to correct everything but the price in their comment lol.) if it was brought in like they say with exhaust parts they knew couldn't be fixed wouldn't any company reach out to the customer and let them know that instead of charging an absurd amount then letting you know after u get there and after they already did the work that the work they did might not hold due to other issues? so after u charge me that amount u told me to replace the parts? thanks for confirming that. read more

I've had my car for about five years and put on about 100,000 miles and haven't had any problems. My paranoia took over and wanted my car looked at to prevent any bigger problems. An acquaintance recommended Auto Select and said they would take care of me. He was right! I started with an inspection of my car. It took less than an hour and they created a list of needed repairs and estimated costs. They made recommendations on what needed to be repaired first as I couldn't afford to get it fixed at one time. Not being a car guy, I used the Google machine to see why these certain parts needed to be repaired. I'm glad I did, because as I asked questions the staff were giving me the same answers from what I read online. That put me at ease as they are knowledgable and didn't feel like they were ripping me off. Over the course of a couple months I did spend around $1500. I feel better that I did this now, instead of doing it because my car broke down and getting stuck with a bigger bill. I'm taking my car here for all of my auto needs. read more

On a long road trip up to Door county for the fourth when the AC in the car unexpectedly stopped working. Given the fact that it was 90's outside and we still had a several more hours of driving over the weekend, we decided to look up a place in Green Bay to see if they could take a look. Auto Select popped up on Yelp and we called. Even though all appointments for that afternoon were booked, they agreed to take a look for us. We got there an hour or so later, left the vehicle, and walked across the street to Dunkin Donuts to wait. About 15-20 minutes later, through the window at our table, we saw one of the mechanics not run but actually SPRINT to the car and pull it up to the garage for service. This place was not lying about their exceptional service. They kept us in the loop via phone about the areas of the car they were inspecting and what the associated costs would be. Ultimately we ended up having to replace the compressor, which was a bummer as it was not cheap, but the price they quoted was fair and we were happy they had the part on hand. All in all, only took 2-3 hours and we were back on our way. AC is working again and we were happy to be kept cool the entire holiday weekend. Thanks Auto-Select! Side note: If you need a place to wait, would recommend Wise Fools Pub down the road. $2 beer on happy hour! Can't beat that price! read more

I can't recommend this place enough! Not only do the mechanics NOT treat me like a car-illiterate damsel, they take the time to patiently and intelligently explain the situation and my options to me even when I am that car-illiterate damsel. I received same-day service for a new set of tires, and the mechanic helped me decide between Firestones and Bridgestones by suggesting the very tires he had on his car. I've been experiencing electrical problems with my car for 6 weeks, and my dealer won't listen to my research and documentation of this issue (thereby claiming there is no issue), whereas Auto Select set me up with the first available appointment and highly encouraged my slightly neurotic detailing of said problem. For any lady out there intimidated by all things auto, I highly recommend these fine folks. I leave feeling like they've treated me no differently than they would their own sisters. Bravo. read more

Wow! We just had a "minor emergency" with our vehicle and found this place on Yelp as one of the closest and highest rated place's in our proximity. It turned out to be a blessing! The guy's here were friendly, calming, and re-assuring. We sat in the waiting area while they checked out our car, and were provided with free soda, coffee, a TV to watch, and a play area for the kids. We were there for about 20 minutes and when it was determined that our "minor emergency" was a cosmetic fix, Josh told us what it was and that it was something that could be addressed at a later date. When he handed us the invoice, it had a $0 balance on it. He didn't charge us for his time! What a great/refreshing experience. The other reviewers have it right. I would HIGHLY recommend this place and would feel confident in going back if we ever needed service in GB again! read more

I brought my 2007 F-150 in for repair and told them I was on a tight schedule. Despite the lot being full of cars, they found room to accommodate me the same day I called. Went in told them what was wrong just for them to tell me it was gonna be $500 in repairs which was bull so I told them no thanks because I was gonna fix it myself.... get there to pay and they charged me $100... I was like you just charged me $100 for what I told you was already wrong with the car.... needless to say I will never return and I'm spreading the word this place is a rip off. read more

On January 30th, I went to auto select for a headlight bulb replacement. The employee suggested that I have both headlights changed, so that is what I did. They must have put the bulb in loosely or incorrect because I recently had to replace it again and my entire socket was melted to the bulb. I spent over $100 for nothing and it costed me a lot of extra work to fix the mistake. Would not recommend this shop. read more

The rumors are true about this place! After a few minor issues with my car I turned to yelp to find out who was getting good reviews. The search lead me to Auto Select on Main. Let me start by saying there is nothing scarier to me than bringing my car in to get fixed. Even an oil change is daunting because most places rattle off a list of things I should get to rack up the bill. I called them up and rattled off reasons why I think there's something wrong with my car - they listened very patiently, though I'm sure I sounded like an airhead trying to explain things I knew nothing about.. After dropping my car off so they could squeeze it into their busy schedule, I received a call saying I didn't need to fix anything. Really? Nothing? Not even an air filter or something? Nope... I was shocked, and happy!! They even said I could drive my husbands truck down quickly and they'd change the battery that same day. They weren't sure they'd be able to squeeze one car into their schedule and they took care of two. A very small bill and a short amount of time later, we have 2 happy cars and they have 2 happy, new customers for life. Thanks guys! read more

I husband took his car to Auto Select because oil was leaking under the car. The cost was more than $230. After a few days later, oil was leaking worse than before and my husband had to take the car back to their shop. Their excuse was that they did fix the oil leak but there was another different leakage. So my question is how can they not see that other oil leak if they did their jobs thoroughly? If they did their jobs right they should have fixed all of it. They never refund any of the money and told my husband that if he wanted them to fix the oil leak then it will cost him more than $900 plus the $230 that he already paid for the service a couple of days before (total more than $1130). What a rip off. My husband was mislead by all these good reviews that people wrote on here that he went to their auto shop to get his car fixed or should I say never got fixed and lose money for that matter. NEVER GO TO THIS AUTO SHOP IF YOU WANT YOUR CAR FIX. Go to a better service auto shop in town that guarantees their quality and service. You may pay a little bit more but they fixed your car right and you will not lose your money due to them not fixing your car or worse damage your car in that matter. read more

Auto Select is by far the best auto repair shop I've ever dealt with. They have bailed me out on more than one occasion, even giving me a loaner car at no charge while my car was is the shop. They take the time to listen, do not recommend unneeded repairs, and charge fair prices for their excellent work. These people take customer service to a level rarely seen these days. My wife took her car in to repair the air conditioner which cost $1200.00- it lasted less than a month . All the freon leaked out and they told her it was an electricle problem which would cost $800.00 to repair. It's still not fixed and they will not do anything about it. Very poor service. After having a less than positive oil change experience elsewhere, (not at any Auto Select shop), ... where before the service center started my oil change, I had told the service person I wanted a new oil filter put in, and when they finished the job I was told, "they didn't put one in because, 'they' didn't think I needed a new one yet." (What!!! Really?!?!?!), ... so this time, I wanted to find a location which would be hassle free, and where they'd do the job they were hired to do. I'd have to say, my experience with 'Auto Select East Green Bay' was just that. Right from the very start on the phone, they were very professional & accommodating.
