I went here for the first time for a haircut. I didn't have an appointment so the person said that the next available time was 11:00 which was fine. I came back around 11:00 and I waited for Mike to be done with his client. Once he was done I had told him what I had wanted and he did a great job, better than what I would normally get in New York City. The cut was $30 and I definitely will be coming back once I am back in town again. There were about 6 barbers and all of them had clients. read more

Not everyone can cut curly hair. I have taken my grandson here a few times to see Jamie. She was wonderful, great curly cuts! This time she wasn't working so I booked with Mr. Diamond. Before the cut I showed him a pic of one of Jamie's cuts and asked for the same. It did turn out even close! To top it off the cut looks terrible on his face. It was so bad I had family members tell me it looked terrible and get seriously mad. They thought I cut it! I had to tell them several times I didn't touch it. I feel bad he has to go to a new school on the first day looking like that. First impressions mean a lot. read more

The downtown barber company is pretty legit. They feature four to six barbers working at a time, so they can get you in fast. They also take appointments which is nice in my opinion. They feel inside the barbershop is nice (hardwood floors, exposed brick, ski memorabilia). Haircuts range from 20-36 dollars. Overall, worth a stop. You won't be disappointed. read more

Great cuts and great atmosphere. Jeff cut my hair and cleaned up my beard while Dameon cut my brother's hair and gave him a shave. Both took their time and did an excellent job. They aren't there just buzzing away trying to get you in and out as fast as possible like a lot of barber shops. This is where you go for an old-fashioned experience. The guys in there are all incredibly nice and respectful as well. They even let me snap a few photos in the shop. I will definitely be going back and I would recommend it to anyone that can appreciate a good cut. read more

Glad I found this place. Nick gives great cuts. The vibe is nice- sorta macho but not overly so and definitely family friendly. I love to see the old building preserved and maintained. Comfy couches but I've never had to sit in one for long thanks to the online booking (which is awesome). read more

I've gotten a couple of decent cuts here, mine is pretty simple. What I liked was online scheduling so I could fit in my work without a lot of hassle. I showed up early as suggested and first was told my barber would be right along. Then after hanging around another asked if I had an appointment, when I said with Michael I was then told he wasn't coming in. I don't have time to waste, if he couldn't show I understand but let the customer know or make it right. A simple phone call/text/email and I wouldn't have wasted my time getting there after I rearranged my work schedule, Yeah it's a cool place but there are a lot of places to get your hair cut it's not that special. People say to spend your cash locally, this is the second Glens Falls business that I've tried to give my cash to but you need to make your customers welcome and give them a reason to come back. read more

Rude and inconsiderate. If any place deserved a zero star it would be this place and they earned it ! They would not take walk ins which I understand so I made an appointment. I made my appointment for the gentleman cut which includes the beard. When I get there I double check with the barber and ask him we are doing the beard too right ? He said no I don't have time for it. Excuse me, but if I reserve an appointment for something specific and all of a sudden you can't do it because you fell behind that is not my problem. He wasn't even going to tell me if I didn't bring it up. If he was considerate he would of told me at the beginning of the haircut. But the worst thing about it was after the cut I ask to see the back. In ALL BARBERSHOPS I have been too they would put the mirror behind my head for me so I can see it instead this asshole decided to hand me the mirror and have me figure it out, like WTF !!. When I was leaving I saw the lady who booked me the appointment and she asked me how it was. When I mentioned how he did not do my beard she trys to rationalize it by saying it was probably the texture of my hair that made the haircut take so long. I had to take a double take I could not of heard that correctly like what does that mean ???? This place comes off as racist and prejudice anybody who is ethic or values good customer service I would say stay away. This was a huge culture shock to as I just moved up here but if this is the norm around here that's just disgusting. read more

This is where my 4 year old son has been getting his hair cut for months. I had taken him to multiple barbers In the area and was never satisfied with how his cut looked after they were done. At Downtown Barber, his barber's Jamie and she is always extremely patient with him. She also has done a better job with different cuts I've requested than anyone else he's seen in the past. We will continue to go there because she's the best at what she does. read more

It seems that this barber shop has a pretty loose business structure. When you go in the sign says just take a seat, I wasn't greeted or anything. Waited 20 mins just to have multiple people get ahead of me in line because they are the barber's friends. This was a waste of time. Poor service. read more
