I brought my 10 year old son and nephew to Nate and we had such a great experience and are definitely coming back as regulars! Both boys are pretty particular with their hair! One being a messy on top with the sides and back tight and always always wants some kind of line or design! Nate was amazing with him! Then there's my nephew with the mullet! He was hesitant on letting a stranger alter his mullet but Nate made him feel confident and comfortable and he now has the start of the mullet of his dreams!! 100% recommend! thanks Nate! read more

I would give 0 stars if I could!!!!!! I was in a pinch over the weekend and my sons barber was not available. I called many local places in which all were booked. I came across this place that appeared to have great reviews according to their fb business page. The owner Nate was booked but he said his other barber had openings so we were able to stop in. THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUT I HAVE SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!! No edge up done, he came out with crooked hair in the front with no texture, he had clumps of hair all over his neck... hair was left long around his ears, sideburn and neckline, zero skill with clippers!!. I was in utter shock. I paid $18 for this cut and tipped $5. When I went in to address this, the owner Nate was with a customer. I showed him the pictures of my sons hair and he agreed it was not ok. Apparently the other barber in the shop had "an apprentice" that cut my sons hair. I told him I had never seen such a shitty job in my life, complete lack of attention to detail... regardless of this guys experience someone should have been overseeing his work and my son should never have left the shop looking like that. I asked for the tip back at the very least and this guy has the audacity to tell me that they legally don't have to "but he will anyway"... he then gets this "apprentice" out of the back room who comes out and only gives me $3 back. UNREAL!!! I cannot believe this place is even still in business!!!!!! DONT COME HERE!!!! read more

Best Barber period. Beard trim, hard parts, fades, the atmosphere is very classy, while still feels like your local, laid back barber. Both Chris and Nate are experts at what they do. I promise that you wont be disappointed. There even great with kids. I would recommend calling for an appointment, but walkins seem to be welcome. You might just wait longer. Monday through Wednesday seem to be the quickest days to get in and out. read more

Nate's is a great place for a hair cut... he always manages to squeeze in anyone who walks in the door. While I've gone to other places in the past, this is my goto spot for a cut. One thing, have on your big boy boots when you walk in, the "show" between the two barbers can get a bit blue at times when it's just the guys, but Nate will tone it down quite a bit when the kids are in the room. All in all it's a great place, with great guys, providing a fantastic cut at an appropriate price. Highly recommended. read more

Consistently the best fades in the business. I travel from South Glens Falls all the way down to Latham and have gone to dozens of barbers along the route, if I by chance get a decent fade elsewhere, they can never replicate it consistently. Nate and Chris are easily the best in the area for cuts, shave etc. Just let them know how you want it done and you can get the same consistent cut to stay sharp and fresh for the summer. This is a real BARBER SHOP, not a salon or mall store where the staff come and go, Chris has been cutting my hair every week for almost 2 years and I have never had a bad cut or complaint Cannot recommend anywhere else! read more

Worst shop I've ever had the displeasure of visiting. My first cut was a descent experience. However the second visit the employee was a pure a--hole. Third visit was with nate again but experienced the same experience as the second. I highly recommend going somewhere else for your cut. read more

Had my beard ruined here. Just wanted a trim and cleaned up a bit. Asked him to leave most of the length. Walked out of there with over half of beard length gone and all uneven. He even used a trimmer with a guard on it. Had to go home and trim even more off to fix. read more

AVOID! When he turned me toward the mirror and asked what I thought of my haircut, I discovered that he'd smeared my hair down with a heavy application of gel without bothering to ask first. I told him I didn't know how to assess my haircut under those circumstances and he said, "Sorry, your hair was spiking up so I thought you'd like some gel." By pulling at my hair with my fingers I quickly found a patch on the back where the hair was much longer. He trimmed that some more and I paid him and left. I washed my hair as soon as I got home and discovered that a LOT of it was VERY uneven - no wonder it was "spiking up"! He even cut one sideburn at least 1/2 in. shorter than the other! I don't know if NY barbers are licensed, but if so, his should be pulled. I've been getting haircuts for some 50 years and this is by far the worst I've ever gotten. It's too late today, but tomorrow I'll have to go somewhere else to have someone try to fix it. read more
