I'm definitely surprised there isn't many reviews for this place on Yelp. My wife and I came here…read moreafter looking at their google reviews and were blown away. She got a chicken torta and I got a Cubano. Both were beyond what we expected. Everything tasted delicious, the Cubano was filled with the best chorizo I've ever had, the milanesa was great without being overly salty, the ham wasn't prepackaged from the looks of it and the lomo was so damn good. The bread was toasted perfectly and didn't have any stale taste to it. The chicken torta was made extra crispy to my wife's satisfaction. She loves a very toasted bun and that's what she got without it being burned to a crisp. The chicken was fresh and she didn't get any bad cuts of chicken. Finally let's talk about the salsa. Now I'm very particular about salsa, I've had a lot of it from a lot of different places. This salsa came bright green, almost unnaturally so. But boy does it pack a delightfully flavourful, rich, and spicy taste! The pickled onions were delicious and the pickled jalapenos and carrot were typical of any but that's neither here nor there. Overall this place is great, we've come here once every time we've crossed and have yet to have a bad experience. Would highly recommend.

This original Sherman's deli location has been open since 1963 and is a landmark in the desert. I…read moregrew up coming to the desert from San Diego often and my family and I would always stop here for our breakfast or occasional dinner, although we would go to the Palm Desert location given that we had a place in Indian Wells. This past weekend, I stopped in town for a long weekend to get away from work and of course had to stop in to Sherman's for a great breakfast. Inside is very large and can host many different sized groups. One of the things I love the most is all the cakes on display. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. There's also a large free parking lot attached on the side otherwise free street parking is also easy to find. Just like most delis, the menu here is gigantic. There are plenty of great options. For this breakfast, I chose the Cinnamon Roll to start and will say I was not a very big fan of it. It was giant, but it almost tasted more like dense cake and not the gooey Cinnabon type of roll. I would not recommend that. However, the Chili Cheese Omelette I got was great and that I would highly recommend. I've also had many of their sandwiches before and would recommend the Reuben especially. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the desert.

I will walk this line to get something from TKB. 4/5 Service The line can look intimidating but moves rather quickly to order. Getting your food, we'll you have to wait. My party all got their food and ai was just standing there like a little kid waiting with anticipation. 5/5 Food I am just thinking of how warm the sandwich was. Went with the special of the day. I can still savor it, makes my mouth water. The Smoked Pastrami was delicious! Pastrami was tender, the garlic buttered french roll added a nice flavor along with the French fries. 5/5 Ambiance Seating in or outdoors. Lots of space even when it's busy. 5/5 Parking Spots are as available as the chips along the line inside. 6/5 Likelihood to Return I can't wait for work to send me to Indio again so I can try another one and walk the line to order. It was well after the lunch rush but it was pleasantly busy. Employees were friendly and checking on patrons, serving food and tending to empty tables. We had been waiting awhile, so I carried our number in with me and made note of the numbers they were delivering... which were higher numbers than ours, but also very random. I went to the cash register and asked the employee if they called the numbers in order. She answered politely that no they didn't. I then mentioned we were sitting outside and asked if I should wait inside for my order so they wouldn't have trouble finding us. We were not in a hurry and were trying to make it easy on the hardworking employees....and bonus that it was cool inside *At that point, a man who I perceived was a manager or maybe even the owner , turned to me from behind the counter, handed me a bag and said " Here Ma'am , GO!" Then turned back around to what he was doing. What? GO? I don't know what his intent was because I'm not a mind reader, but it felt rude and dismissive. His facial expression was as though he was busy and or annoyed. I was so surprised at his response in such an otherwise pleasant environment. I'm pretty tolerant of grumpy people (you know, sometimes there's a reason) but this just felt really icky -it was our intended destination after a hot drive from Phoenix and it did not sit well with us. We won't be returning. Food =10 Customer service = so disappointing 3

Ordered the New York style hot pastrami on rye with coleslaw and a Dr. Brown's Cream Soda. The pastrami was the highlight. Piled high, tender, and full of that classic deli flavor with just the right amount of richness. The rye bread held everything together well and had a nice bite to it. It's the kind of sandwich you have to take a second to look at before figuring out how to eat it. The coleslaw was fresh and crisp, a good balance to the sandwich, and the cream soda was cold and refreshing. Also ordered a slice of pistachio cake to go. Absolutely delicious. The place has that old school deli feel, busy but in a good way, and full of character. Service was friendly and efficient even with the crowd. Definitely a spot worth stopping at if you're in Palm Desert and want a proper deli sandwich.

Service was excellent. Seated immediately and ordering minutes later. Got extra cream cheese on request and our coffees were diligently refilled. The main attraction was the pastrami sandwich. Totally to my wife's taste, extremely lean and stacked high. She had to take half home. I tried an omelette with corned beef and loved it. The everything bagel was perfectly acceptable, not too "bready." So: service good, pastrami good, and bagel good. Everything good about a deli is covered.
