I had an appointment at 9, and they got me into a room around 9:35. I then sat in the room for an hour before anyone even looked at my teeth. By then it was past 10:30, and the doctor finally saw me. After which the hygienist went to the front desk to get an estimate for the cost of my care, which took another thirty minutes. By the time 11 rolled around I told them I couldn't stay because I have prior engagements at 12:30. It was suuppppeeerrr busy so I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but it seemed to me like they way overbooked themselves. read more

The assistants and entire staff was very helpful. The assistant that worked on did a tremendous job. I'm sorry I cant remember her name. She has braces, and so do I. She helped solve my flossing and gum irritation problems. I would definitely recommend going back there. This was my first there. read more

I was in severe pain from a wisdom tooth hurting me and tried for nearly a week to be seen by local dentists. Everywhere was booked up or not taking any new patients due to the COVID-19 virus. I called this office and was able to be seen that day! Not only were they very professional and friendly, I was shown an amazing amount of patience by him and his staff! I have a huge fear of dentists and shots but they made me feel at such ease and made sure I wasn't in any pain and felt comfortable before he started the extraction. And he offered to extract another tooth that had been giving me slight problems while I was already there even though I only scheduled for the one. I've never been treated so kindly at a dentist office before. I would highly recommend using this office for all of your dental needs! I was highly impressed! read more

I would not recommend using downtown dental, the staff are very unprofessional and rude.It would be a great office if they we're to fire their unprofessional office manager and staff, I have no complaints with the doctors they are great! It takes forever to get a appointment after you have paid in full to finish treatment and when you walk in for service that has been paid in full the office staff give you a hard time to be seen. read more

This office has went down. They use to give good service. I've come to the conclusion that it is the front desk staff. I had a appointment scheduled along with a confirmed text. I traveled 17 miles to my appointment during this Covid pandemic (when I could have stayed safe in my home) and get there and someone had cancelled my appointment and LIED about it. When I presented the text, I was told that they text my phone for my 22 year old son about his appointment. The office manager didn't try to compensate me or make it right. I purposely set the appointment for myself because I had another appointment in the same area. They are some little liars, don't take their job serious nor respect you as a patient. Without patients, they wouldn't be in business read more

So today my son had an appointment and the credit card machine was down for deductibles to be paid. No one wanted to provide a written receipt to prove that I was leaving my card information with them. No one wanted to take responsibility for or write even a note to verify my payment and my personal information being left in their hands. I did try to take a picture of the person who was going to take my information. She called the doctor and he then said that they would reschedule my appointment for when their card machine was back up. I did not want to reschedule because we were at his appointment time. I understand the card machine was down and that I may have went too far in taking a picture. However, who would take responsibility for my information being left or even running my card? This information could have been given at the beginning of appointment time. They could have made calls so that one could arrange another form of payment prior to coming in. I had no proof of anything. So needless to say now I have to find a new dentist. Not a problem because I am confident that there are many with MUCH better desk service and doctors. I am disappointed to say the least and I will also be posting on the BBB. It may not mean much but they just lost 6 patients from my household. Dr. G and his staff are disgusting and rude! Not to mention no one even called to update me from the last visit where my children had cleanings and because of the Covid-19, no one but the patient was able to go inside. I had to call to find out what was needed and what happened during their visit. Imagine a 5 yr old coming out trying to explain to you he has 2 cavities. I called back in, asked for information and then made next appointment. Ask would I be updated and the person who answered the phone stated that I would be. I haven't received that call yet. Then on today the young lady says she asked her office manager about giving a hand written receipt but when I asked for this same office manager she wasn't there. At that time a very nasty and rude assistant came in and tells me they are going to reschedule my sons appointment. Way to go people! Great job! read more

Early this morning, his temporary filling from his dentist in LA shifted in a bad way. (Not the dentist's fault at all; my bf should have gone back to his dentist by now, but he's always on the road. It's a problem.) Receptionist was awesome. Squeezed him in for 4:30. At 5:15 my boyfriend texted me: "The dentist was great! Super nice man. They were all so nice. My tooth feels really good and comfortable." He paid out-of-pocket (no dental insurance) and it was very reasonable. (About half the amount that I'd guessed.) It was such a good feeling, being able to send him to a brand new place (new city, don't know anyone) and have him taken care of so well. My six children and I have seen Dr. Gamotis(spell check?) since 2014. He and his staff have always been kind, thorough, and very knowledgeable. All of my children LOVE going tp see them to the point they request I take them for a cleaning more often than every six months(doesn't happen, obviously). We haven't ever had an issue and look forward to their care in the future. We also use their vision services, which we have had only pleasant experiences. I have two children who wear glasses. They do have an extensive selection of children's glasses. We certainly look forward to future care at Downtown Dental and Vision! My husband used to have "dental anxiety" until he visited Downtown Dental. From the moment he walked into the door and checked in, the staff were helpful, reassuring, and professional. His examination gave him a detailed breakdown of the work needed, and then he was given a walk through of the process that was completed that day. He was more relaxed knowing what to expect. The staff is always extremely nice and helpful on the dental side. They are able to deal well with younger, anxious children such as my 8 year old who asks a lot of questions prior to beginning any procedure. They are also close to the interstate and easily accessible.
