Landmark Dental is an absolute disaster of a business, and their incompetence knows no bounds…read more I have signed proof that I paid you, yet I've now received FOUR separate phone calls in TWO days harassing me for money I sent weeks ago.Your billing department is either utterly inept or deliberately malicious--either way, it's unacceptable. But let's take a trip down memory lane and revisit just how awful Landmark Dental has been. In 2020 and 2021, I had dental work done here. My dentist, Kevin, upgraded my composite tooth to a porcelain one WITHOUT my consent. At the time, there was no way I could have afforded a $2,000 tooth--I specifically selected the cheapest option. When I arrived to get the crown, Kevin casually informed me it was a "wedding present" since I had recently gotten engaged. Fast forward to when I tried to schedule a cleaning before my wedding, and suddenly, Landmark decided I owed them for that porcelain tooth I never agreed to. I asked if they had even bothered to file a claim with my excellent dental insurance--of course, they hadn't. They assured me they would, but for six months, I had to battle with their utterly incompetent employee, Dee, because my insurance never received the claim. Landmark eventually stopped answering my calls entirely, leaving me to move on with my life. Now, four years later, here we are again--Landmark harassing me, ignoring all logic, and making my life difficult. And the cherry on top? I even paid for the porcelain tooth I never authorized, yet I'm STILL being hounded for money. This place is a joke. Their billing department is a nightmare, their customer service is nonexistent, and their ethics are questionable at best. If you're thinking about going to Landmark Dental.

Also Doc Dteremont and his entire staff were all fully vaccinated very early on and adhered to all Covid protocols throughout. Everything else I've said previously still remains the same and I like these guys even more today . Now I am excited about my recent procedures that included extracted my two front teeth, lower and replacing with something called a Maryland bridge. What it comprises of are the two new teeth, of course, and a rigid backing that permanently affixes to several of the adjacent teeth. It's something I'd never heard of and it's cool because no partial plate or implants but rather a permanent solution without the cost of inconvenience of some sort of prosthetic or surgery. The process involved the teeth extraction and a period of healing. Then I came back for a brisk cleaning and they took a cast of my teeth. The last step was today when Doc cleaned everything up again and afffixed & glued the new teeth into place It's very comfortable, almost not noticeable and I can smile and eat corn on the corn again without leaving a weird row of corn around said cob LOL The entire process cost $2400 which is the price that insurance would have paid. That's a significant reduced price from their listed charges and I appreciate them working with me as my insurance does not cover this at all. Bottom line: Everyone here is just as friendly and professional as can be and I am so glad that I found them. Me & Doc also watched some New England Patriots draft highlights throughout today's event, so bonus :-)

So, I decided to give them a call and the front desk was pleasant and helpful with getting me set up for a cleaning and getting my dental health back in order. I was booked in a timely manner and seen very quickly after my call. Once I made the appointment, I received texts and emails to confirm my appointment and also sending my paperwork paperless which was great to fill out which gave the option to put all my card information in so that it could be checked prior to me coming in. I promptly filled out the information and sent it back to the office and confirmed my appointment so there would be no issues. On the day on my appointment I came in the office it is very nice and clean. Front desk staff was very very nice as well, and greeted me before the door was even closed. I then was called back very quickly and started my appointment. Everything went very smoothly from the xrays to the cleaning. Tina was my hygienist and made me very comfortable as I have a huge fear of all thing's dentist related. So much that she made sure I had warm water for my gums as they are sensitive to cold water. She made great small talk with me to take my mind off the things being done to put my mind at ease. When I saw Dr. Lauren Holloway she was just the most pleseant dentist I have ever had. She made me feel right at home and never uncomfortable. I can honestly say for once I am not dreading my next 6 month check up after this wonderful time I had. After moving to Fairhope, I went to this dentist based on proximity to my house. I went in for an…read moreannual check up with no current issues. They took the batch of typical X-rays and the next thing the dentist came in and suggested the removal of a tooth next to a dental implant. This is the first dentist I know that has ever suggested not saving a tooth. I contacted my old dentist from another state who took a look at my X-rays they had on file from just a couple months ago and he didn't see the logic. Furthermore, he advised that removing a tooth next to an implant actually causes more harm than good. Added to the insult, the dentist suggested the complete replacement of a perfectly good crown on the implant...a procedure which is NOT covered by insurance vs a "repair" which is covered. I guess some dentists see a couple of implants and think they can get more $$. I have had a lot of dental work done due to an accident so I know probably more about dentists than I care to admit. So, my best advice is to shop around...not all dentists are created equal. Even though dental insurance is pretty crappy, most dentists understand and work with insurance companies. Save your money and shop around and don't ever go to a dentist that suggest replacing perfectly good dental work just to get an extra dollar.
