So yeah, it could've gone better. I called later that afternoon to apologize. Everyone else who works there is truly a gem. Everyone there, except for Dr. Carmen, was understanding of my condition and was patient with me. This place could be a great place to have work done. Maybe I was just unlucky and caught Dr. Carmen on a bad day. Maybe give this place a chance. Although, if you suffer from mental illness, I would strongly encourage you to specifically ask for Dr. Weigel, or anyone who isn't Dr. Carmen.

Unfortunately I've had numerous root canals but this was my first appointment at Lexington Endodontics. I was thoroughly impressed with the steps followed by Dr. Carman and his staff to understand my problem. My dental assistant Sara did cold and bite testing on several teeth in the area of sensitivity as well as taking several x-rays to help confirm the problem teeth. After sharing her observations with Dr. Carman, the doctor had a detailed discussion with me regarding my teeth. In addition to a treatment plan he shared techniques with me to help recognize future root canal symptoms before permanently seating new crowns. My experience with this practice was markedly different than that of a previous reviewer. I found Dina (the person handling scheduling and billing) both courteous and professional. It's easy to become frustrated with staff when you're experiencing pain and can't have your problem resolved as quickly as you'd like, but many of the best health care professionals are booked weeks in advance due to their skills and expertise. I find that as you build a relationship with a practice they are often more than willing to show flexibility in their scheduling, according to your needs. Additionally I get far better results when I am kind, courteous, and patient. I highly recommend this practice and it's staff...so much so that I'm considering looking for a new dentist with the same skill set. Do yourself a favor and give them a call for all your Endodontic needs!

I was told to take two pain/anxiety relief medications and bring one for the procedure. I asked for the extra medication during the procedure and was told, "I don't think you need it." My referring dentist will be told in full about this office. Horrible experience overall.
