This is a very honest review. Finally decided to try this place after years of wanting to go. I did not get any hot dogs, so this review is not based on that. So, please keep this in mind. I got a smoked sausage dog with chips and a 16 oz bottle of Pepsi as I was craving a soda real bad . It was called the DC Smoked Sausage Dog. Pros: Awesome customer service - very friendly, professional, down to earth Food was ready very quickly Size-wise very worth $5.99! Perfect sized bun! Areas to sit outside of the establishment Cons: Way too many onions for my liking - next time I'll be specific about how much I want Could've used a bit more chili. Was given more onions than chili Soda was way overpriced - $2 for a 16 oz Bread was too chewy Sausage was just ok...decent. Not bad, but I didn't realize it would be beef. I prefer pork smoked sausage as it is a lot more flavorful. The older I get, the pickier I seem to get about my food. Please keep this in mind and still give this place a try. I am more than willing to return, but I'd get a hot dog next time since that's what pretty much all of the gd reviews are about. read more

I had to check this place out as it's super cute and a great little local place in our community. I got a dog of course and it was just okay. I love a good old dirty dog that is from a hot dog cart or even a great grilled dog. The service was friendly. read more

The Downtown Dog House is a super cool little hotdog stand located in the downtown part of Reidsville that opened in the earlier part of 2014, formerly Mr. Kones. The small neat looking building was an old gas station way back in the day. It's located on Scales St at the roundabout & gives the downtown landscape a great vibe. The Dog House has a walk-up window for ordering & few patio tables available if you want to hangout there & eat. You can also call in your order or send your order via text message & they'll have it ready when you get there. The lady that waited on me was incredibly nice, I believe she is the owner. Super nice folks here. The hotdogs I had were very good, an all beef hotdog with mustard, slaw, chili & onions on a super soft steamed bun. The slaw they use is a sweeter variety & works well with the chili they use. They also have turkey dogs available, other options on the menu include some Nathan's Hotdog products & Polish sausage dogs along with your choice of white or wheat buns. They also have a few more toppings available other than the usual suspects when it comes to hotdogs. Other menu choices include corn dogs & chicken salad sandwiches, a few varieties of chips & a number of canned beverage options. They also have milkshakes & about 10-12 different flavors of Icecream. The folks in front of me ordered icecream & it looked great, big scoops in a waffle cone, I almost had to get one myself. They also have a hotdog cart that you may see set up at various events & locations around town. It's always at the Market Square when something's going on there, so be on the lookout for the Downtown Dog House hotdog cart. The owners have done a great job with the changes they've made & re-opening as The Downtown Dog House this year. This is a great little hotdog stand to grab a quick & simple hotdog lunch, milkshake or icecream cone anytime you're roaming around the downtown Reidsville area. read more

Realize that they don't have an indoor sitting area. It is only an little building with an order window. Judging the place on for what it is intended, the hot dogs are decent quality, their toppings are good and they're reasonably priced. Next time you're downtown Reidsville, I'd recommend giving them a try. read more

It's a small yogurt shop that's inside of the Family Fitness Gym, you don't have to be a gym member to git on some of this awesome yogurt, the gym and the yogurt shop are owned and ran by same folks. I say small because they just have 3 tables if you want to go inside and have your yogurt, but not many do, they have a drive-thru which is where most of the fro-yo action is taking place, it's very convenient to drive up to the window, get your yogurt and roll on. They always have 6 flavors on tap. Chocolate, Vanilla & Tuxedo Twist (choc/van swirl) which are always available and 3 flavors that change weekly. My personal favorites are Keylime, Cherry Cheesecake & Peach, but there are many more that rotate around. You can get your yogurt in a regular cone, waffle cone (which they make), or in a cup (small, medium, large). They do offer a handful of toppings like that candied walnut stuff, chopped peanuts, m&m's, crushed Heath Bars and a few others. Toppings are $.65 for one scoop or $1.20 for two scoops. They also make hot fudge sundaes and banana splits using their yogurt. Right now with the major road construction project being done on Freeway Dr, their main entrance is closed, you must turn on Front St. beside the Freeway Mart gas station & use their rear entrance.

I ordered a hot dog w/ chili and a mango lemonade. They were both tasty and cost me $7 total. The truck was pretty busy, with customers driving up to grab orders. The owner came out to chat with me, and I expressed gratitude for their service. My hot dog was good, the chili had a nice flavor, and the bun stayed intact until the last bite.
