Food not that great for the inflated prices. Wiener in hot dog undercooked. Fries cold. Very disappointed

I've been several times now and tried breakfast and lunch options and they were fresh, hot, delicious! They are only open Fridays and Saturdays for breakfast and lunch, so that is the only chance to experience this place but let me say you won't regret it! The prices are good and the food is worth every penny. The owner is always there making sure everything runs smooth and every customer is happy with their meal. The girls that wait on you are very nice and helpful and it is just an all around friendly experience with you leaving wishing they were open a few more days a week. This is exactly what Reidsville needed!!!

We dropped by here for a quick lunch while passing through the area…read more We got 2 orders of the fried chicken sandwich with mac and cheese, and I got the banana pudding trifle. The sandwiches were kind of hit or miss. Mine was a little underseasoned, but she said hers was overwhelmingly salty. Weird. I assumed maybe the seasoning wasn't mixed in thoroughly when they breaded the chicken or something. Never the less, once I added some Texas Pete to the sandwich I liked it a lot. Breading was a great texture, bun was soft, etc. Mac and cheese was the drier, baked style that some people like. Not super impressed, I probably wouldn't order it again but that's just me. The banana pudding was delicious!! I wish I lived closer and could go back for more. It was clearly homemade, had a good ratio of all ingredients layered, and was the classic vanilla flavor (none of that Jello banana flavored stuff). Staff were super friendly and kind and kept coming around to check on us even though it's an order at the counter, fill your own drink kind of place. Very clean inside. Highly recommend if you're nearby!

Since it was a little chilly, we opted to sit inside. The vibe was lively without being loud, which I appreciated. I have a hard time enjoying restaurants where it is difficult to carry on a conversation. We ordered coffee, and it came with biscotti, which was a nice touch. I was also impressed with the menu. It had some traditional breakfast and brunch items, but also several more interesting options that made it hard to decide. I finally landed on the Deviled Egg Toast, topped with pickle slaw and served with a side salad. I was not disappointed. It was delicious. There were four of us, and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Our server, Joanna, was pleasant, personable, and attentive. Overall, Sage Mule was a great breakfast/brunch spot, and I would happily go back.

Now, the food. I had the bagel/lox and while it was tasty, it was too ornate, too complicated, with flavors which drowned the subtle lox flavor entirely. Sometimes less is more. My friend was content with whatever he had without deeming it anything remarkable. Breakfast for two came to $51 (incl tip), doubtless a sign of the times. Maybe people will remember that going out to eat used to be a treat, I suspect that would be a very good thing.
