Barbara Barbara BARBARA!!!!! I can't tell you how much I appreciate you. I had called and ordered flowers online from another florist. What a nightmare I had to call today to get an update only to find out that the flowers won't be delivered until tomorrow. The idiot on the phone was telling me he can give me a 20 to 30% discount and I told him her birthday is today not tomorrow, so what will the discount do for me? Long story short I went on Google and found this florist and more importantly I found Barbara she saved my life. She was able to deliver the flowers in less than one hour and I greatly appreciate you. I hope whoever is reading this knows how much Barbara should be appreciate it. This place saves my life! My boss asked me to get him flowers this afternoon but that flower shop never deliver it! So I yelp for one around the office and they are still open until 8:30pm! Wow! This place blew me away with their superior customer service and extremely friendly and accommodating assistance. I'm from NYC and needed flowers delivered to an event the same night to a theatre in LA as a surprise, so the delivery part was tricky. But, Barbara who helped me from the beginning was so nice, patient, and kind gave me the best white glove service from start to finish by meticulously taking care of my orderes, sending me pictures of the arrangements to make sure I like them, and then personally delivered the flowers herself! Ohmigoodness! I've never received such exemplary service from a flower shop like this before. And, the pricing was very affordable and the flowers were beautiful! I wish they deliver flowers to NYC as I would order from them regularly. So, definitely and highly recommend this florist for all of your floral needs! read more

I've walked past Downtown Flowers countless times on my way to lunch or the post office, but never stopped inside because I assumed they'd be overpriced based off their location. A few weeks ago, we found their website while researching florists for a company dinner, and I was so surprised at how reasonably priced their arrangements were. We decided to try them out, and couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. Barbara was the person we worked with, and she was super helpful in person, over the phone, and via email. I had a very specific sort of "feel" I wanted for the flowers and provided photos of the types of arrangements that appealed to me. They got it spot on and gave us six really pretty and super cheerful arrangements for our dinner. (We ordered balloons, too!) Everyone couldn't stop commenting about how pretty the arrangements were. Downtown Flowers will now be our go-to anytime we need flowers or balloons. :-) read more

This picture does not do this statement floral arrangement justice. Seriously, the flowers look AMAZING in person. The bouquet I received is absolutely stunning. A coworker commented: "these are obnoxiously gorgeous"! Another asked that I keep my office door open so she could see them. If you are considering this shop, pull the trigger. My arrangement looks and smells heavenly. The arrangement is beautifully crafted with meticulous detail. Five stars! This place helped my boyfriend knock it out of the park. I've ordered online through their website a couple times now. It's fast, easy, and convenient. They also give you a delivery confirmation. You can browse arrangements through their pictures on the website. And the actual arrangement is very close to what's pictured online. I've also tried price shopping with different vendors, and their prices are pretty standard for flower delivery service in the DTLA area. There is a $12.00 delivery fee. But I definitely think it's worth it to go through Downtown Flowers for their quality and consistency. You can order day of for same-day delivery, which is also a plus. And the GF always likes them, so that's all that matters really. read more

Can't tell enough about this flowershop. Their customer service is superb, warm and professional, prices unbelivabe and designs gorgeous. I have been ordering flowers from them for 2 years now, because I work nearby in downtown. I wanted to thank all the employees and specially Barb that went an extra mile to deliver my birthday flowers to Glendale on a Saturday. I ordered custom made flowers for my 40th bday event that was supposed to be in a French restaurant with bold colors, and oh boy they did not disappoint. Please see the pictures for yourself. Truth or dare? DARE! If you have not been here, I DARE you to come in. The TRUTH is that this flower shop is a mom and pop shop that has been in the DTLA area forever and that speaks VOLUMES of the great work they do. I have been meaning to write this review for months now! This place deserves 5 stars all the way. Barbara was such a great help! I live in NYC and needed some guidance in something a little more masculine rather than just flowers (this was for a man), she helped me pick a beautiful bamboo arrangement and added to it. She also sent pictures to my phone to make sure I liked the final result and followed through with texts saying they were delivered, all the while wishing my family friend a speedy recovery. Boyfriend ordered from them for Valentine's Day, and I'm thoroughly impressed with how thoughtful they were with my flowers. First off, the custom arrangement he ordered was very full and vibrant, and all the flowers were fresh and fragrant. Second, my boyfriend told me after the fact that he had specified my love for daisies and succulent plants... and these guys made an obvious effort to fulfill my tastes while keeping the arrangement more suited to the romantic occasion. Small white flowers and succulents were worked into the bouquet of mostly red roses without clashing at all. Third, the note that my boyfriend wished included was handwritten legibly and beautifully. Delivery personnel was very courteous as well. Overall, we're super happy with the flowers and service. I'd recommend them to anyone looking to send a special gift. :) read more

Convenient location. Helpful staff. Somewhat reasonable prices. The reasons I wanted to write a review is because I was recently in the store and picked out a pre-made arrangement. It seemed a little old but I didn't say anything, before I knew it they were refreshing it with FRESH flowers and added another flower. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I ordered a $50 for $75 voucher on yelp from this company in August. I tried to use it that same week in august for my girlfriends birthday, however the lady on the phone said she couldn't take accept my voucher because it was expired, except nowhere on the voucher deal or on the voucher itself says the deal was already expired. So I said 'ok give me a refund then. She said " you need to call yelp for the refund". I read the fine print from yelp and they say I need to deal with the merchant. So I'm getting tossed back and forth for a refund, but come to think of it, that's the merchant and yelps problem not mine. Why should I have to resolve my $50.00? I just want my damn refund!!! read more

Wow, I was visiting for a long weekend and wanted to surprise my wife with some flowers in the hotel room before we checked in. The hotel suggested Downtown Flowers. Net and I called. I checked the website prior and got the sunflower arrangement. Gabriel took the order and said the shop had done deliveries to the hotel before. Give them all the information and the next day, we check in. We get up to the room and my wife sees the arrangement and thinks hotel management sent the flowers. Once she settles in, sits down, looks at the card and sees her name on it, she was overwhelmed. It was a great night and will be a great stay. Thanks, Gabriel and staff read more

So today is my wife's birthday, I was thinking getting some flower for her. So I went in the store at noon,ask what time do they close today, they said 5:30. So I paid the money and said I will pick up the flower at 5pm. Then I got there at 4:57 and the store is already closed! They never called me! The whole surprise is ruined. Tried to call the owner and he said there's nothing he can do. Funny Ok here's the follow up: I came in to argue with them, they were very rude to me, refuse to make up there mistake, threatened me in foreign language that I don't understand which made me really scared, asked security to kick me out. And the employee in the store said " go sue us where ever you want, we don't care" I suggest people learn from my experience and stop buying flowers from this store, or you could be in the same situation as mine. read more

I used to really like this place. I would pick up little arrangements for my colleagues' birthdays and other special events. Then I ordered flowers for a neighbor's funeral...The arrangement was not on display at the service, and the family said they did not receive anything either. However, the flower shop claims that they delivered the flowers to the church and ultimately only refunded me 50% of what I paid. The delivery person says he dropped the arrangement off on the altar while the priest was conducting a prayer service, so he just placed the arrangement and left (he could not provide any proof of delivery). This really ticked me off. I paid them to deliver flowers for a specific funeral service. The flowers didn't show up at said service, so I should be refunded 100% of the cost because the merchandise and service were not provided as paid for. It is the vendor's responsibility to make sure they get to the right place. That didn't happen, and they were not willing to accept the responsibility. Honestly, had I known they would not be liable for missing deliveries, I would not have ordered from them. I would have gone with 1-800-Flowers or something. So much for trying to support a local business! read more

The flowers were beautiful, costs were just a fraction of what it would cost to have a florist procure them and put them together. We had no idea, as to "our" budget, except it was given to us our wedding gift. My paternal aunt purchased, all of our wedding flowers here and placed together by family, with love. We were there, bright and early and got best quality flowers. It was day or two, before they would be used. They must be preserved, freshly and kept them inside my bathroom, in dark, cold room & cranked up AC. All of it was placed in bathtub for hydration.

First the website mentions parking on the roof and we could not find this parking. There was an area blocked off, but it didn't say full. It was just blocked off and the only reason I suspect that was their parking lot is because the exit was still open. So I had to pay for $10 across the street. Yes we could have found street parking further away, but I was already frustrated not having found their lot and my partner was just like I'll just pay. Let's just go across the street. Next even though it is mentioned on the website (I don't remember seeing it despite looking at the website multiple times) and there was a $2 entrance fee. what am I paying $2 for? Why am I paying $2 to shop and spend more money? I'm sorry just on the way there as we got closer, there are so many flower shops around the mart so I don't see why you wouldn't just go to one of those and get your flowers without having to pay an additional fee. So now, we are already $14 out-of-pocket and we havent done anything but try to park and step inside. We get inside we look around and I honestly did not find the prices to be that different from a farmers market perhaps a slightly bigger bouquet, or a couple of dollars cheaper, but there was nothing that was like ooh, this is a great deal. We ended up buying a large bouquet of lilies for $25. There is a stall in the back that had what I would consider actually good price prices. Five stems for $10 and a big bushel of another kind of flower for $6. We got those as well. My partner also really liked the plant guy and bought a plant from him from $20. Now here is where I really will not be back. I stopped at a stall called Choice America. I saw a really pretty set of mum's and asked how much they were & was told $10. The guy helping me then confirmed that they were $10 with somebody else. He then went on to say that one with eight stems was a higher price that I don't remember because I knew I wasn't getting that.When I got to the counter to actually pay, the woman was going back-and-forth with another customer about some order. They both seemed equally frustrated. Why is this important?.. because when it was my time to pay she said $10. I handed her a $20 bill. She opens the register and pulls out a five and some ones throws up her hands. I deduced that already being frustrated this is just one more thing on top as she doesnt have enough change to give me and instead turns to me and says $12.50. I kind of stumble and I say for what... tax or something? and she goes yeah tax clearly lying! Even if they did charge tax, which no other stall did, sales tax in Los Angeles on $10 it's not $12.50. The unfortunate problem is that I am black and I am not afforded the luxury to say something back because then I'm seeing as an angry black woman, have the police called on me not being believed etc. etc. so I just have to bite the bullet and get scammed and ripped off of my money. My partner and I both agree that it was not worth the hassle to go, but he really wants to take me to the restaurant across the street so we would go back to the plant guy and we would go back to the stall in the back but even those are BIG IFS as neither of us has any desire to ever go back to the Flower Mart. I feel like overall. The whole place is a money grab, you should save your money and go to your local farmers market or visit one of the many other vendors that were around the area without having to pay an admission fee to even buy flowers. Or better yet be bold like the elderly lady who accosted us as we were leaving and asked "are you all done in there can I have your sticker?" I was already too flustered to even recognize what she was asking till after my partner happily handed his over.

On the day of the service, we went to the cemetery and when we arrived, we noticed our specific arrangements ordered from this place were thrown on the ground and broken, with roses out of place and in the ground, while the other arrangements from other shops were nicely placed and displayed. as a grieving family, you would want everything to go as plan, smooth and beautiful, as appreciation for your loved one. My husband called Gladys, and spoke to him and said that the arrangements were placed at the gravesite, but yet when she sent the pictures, it was no where near our grandbaby's site. Very disappointed that after talking with her, she was adiment that it was not her delivery workers but instead blamed it on Rose Hills. My husband all he wanted from Gladys and the flower shop to take responsibility for the misdelivered of the flowers arrangements and destruction. Please do not place your orders with this shop, unless you want these arrangements destroyed.

Most recently, Little Tokyo Florist made 2 beautiful custom bouquets and understood exactly what I was going for. It looked unique and not generic and had the more wild aesthetic I was going for. They have a good selection and the quality of the flowers for the last order was great. Photos of them don't do them justice! Only feedback is their delivery prices are a bit high and it can be tough to get the desired delivery time but that may be due to it being a small run business so it's the actual owner I believe who hand delivers some of the orders which is rare and cool. I ordered 2, one delivered to Monterey park which was $30 for delivery and the other was originally supposed to be delivered to the apartment building literally across the street (Tokyo Villa) and they were going to charge me $20 so I opted to pick it up after work and deliver them myself.

I was down in the 505 shops eating lunch last week when I spotted Downtown Flowers Net. I stopped in to admire some of their beautiful flowers and when I saw their great prices I decided to have some delivered to my mom.. because I'm such a sweet daughter ;) The employee was very helpful in helping me put together some flowers when I told her how much money I wanted to spend and what flowers my mom likes. I was in a rush so I didn't see the end result until my mom texted me a picture the next day and they were absolutely beautiful! Downtown Flowers Net is a lot cheaper than many of the other florist that I've used before and their selection was top notch. They may not be the biggest florist in the world and they're hidden from most of the public because they're underground but they are worth paying a visit in you're sending someone flowers for any type of occasion! I'll be using them again...soon! read more
