Is it prejudice against women? Is it racism? Yes, I am the black woman and I have never been to that shop before. Nor do I know the men who work there. Yes they were helping other customers, both men that, from what I could tell, were hispanic. But in my experience, you say hello to potential new customers as they enter the premises. You say we'll be with you as soon as we can when you know there is going to be a wait of more than a couple of minutes. You don't just act as if the person isn't there, unless, of course that is your intention because you don't want that person's service. Gave one star because I had to.

When you read the negative reviews it will be by someone that wanted to much for their pawn or sold item. You will get a fair price for your item because it is colloidal on the loan. Should you not come back to pay off your loan, they then sell it and if they loan you to much on your colloidal, then you stick it with them and they need to make a proffit when they sell it. When you purchase one of their items you will get a great price because they price it accordingly so you get a good deal and they make a profit. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PAWN SHOP - THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF WOMEN AND THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW BETTER…read more My wife recently visited this pawn shop and dealt directly with the owner -- a lowlife scammer who preys on people, especially women. She brought in two solid 18k gold rings, each valued at over $400, with a combined value of more than $800. She only needed a small loan of $200. Life got busy, and she was just one day late on a renewal payment. She even called, asking -- practically begging -- to either extend the loan or pay it off in full to retrieve her rings. But by then, the price of gold had climbed, and now her rings are worth over $1,000. There was no way this greedy owner was going to let her get them back. But here's the real issue: even at the time of the transaction, one of the rings alone was worth more than $400 -- more than enough to cover the $200 loan. A decent, honest person would have told her that one ring was enough. Instead, this scumbag knowingly took both rings, fully aware he was taking advantage of her. When I called to confront him and asked why he didn't speak up and tell my wife she didn't need to pawn both rings, his response was simply, "I don't do that." Shaking my head -- that alone proves this man is a lowlife and an indecent human being who has no problem preying on others for a quick buck. Stay far away from this place. Protect yourself and your loved ones.

I was having a really emotional time and he was incredibly kind and understanding about how hard it was for me. It took me two days to choose a ring similar and special enough to take its place and he was extremely patient. I never felt rushed. I also appreciate how helpful Kathy was. She informed us of an upcoming sale that was starting the following day and by waiting the extra day, it saved us a ton of money. She was sweet and I enjoyed talking with her. Ask for either one of them and you'll be well taken care of.

I waited until after the repair was completed to leave this review…read more.. I had an extremely upsetting experience at the Jared - Galleria of Jewelry location in Spotsylvania Towne Centre in Fredericksburg, VA on March 11. My partner went into the store to drop off one of my bracelets for repair. Instead of a normal customer service interaction, the sales associate working the repair counter was shockingly rude, confrontational, and unprofessional from the beginning. She repeatedly questioned why he was "in there again" and insisted he had already been in before, even though this was his first time ever visiting the store. When he calmly explained that, she continued to argue and claimed it must have been "another man." The bracelet had originally been purchased years ago under a previous account holder. Once she saw the name on the account, she began repeatedly referring to that person as my "husband" and questioned my partner about why my "husband" was not the one bringing the bracelet in. Even after my partner clearly explained that the purchase was from a past relationship, she continued making these comments in front of other customers in the store. The interaction became extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing. What should have been a simple repair drop-off turned into an unnecessary and humiliating experience for him. A customer should never be put in a position where their personal life is being questioned or discussed publicly by a sales associate. After my partner came home visibly upset, I called the store and requested to speak with a manager. Unfortunately, the situation was largely brushed off and I was still unable to obtain the associate's name. This experience was extremely disappointing, especially from a national jewelry retailer that promotes professionalism and customer care. I hope this situation is reviewed internally and addressed with the staff at this location so that no other customer is put through a similar experience. If someone from corporate or district management would like additional details regarding this incident, I would welcome the opportunity to speak with them directly.
