I had seen the Royal Park Hotel before but never been in - the lobby is gorgeous as well, and a front desk staffer directed me to the conservatory, which is directly behind it. I've also heard they have a nice restaurant on site, so I'm hoping to come back and experience that, at some point. All of the catered food at the conservatory was tasty, as well - we had appetizers, salad, and I had an herb chicken dish, I believe. Waitstaff was very courteous and when I went up to the bar to get a Diet Coke, they asked how everything was tasting, etc., even though I wasn't the hostess of the party; nice customer service. My engaged friend said that they originally looked at Royal Park as a wedding venue, but unfortunately the conservatory wasn't large enough for their number of guests - I'm glad they had their engagement dinner there, so I got to experience it. There were about 30 guests there last night but the space looked like it could fit more, I would guess 40-50 total, easily, and possibly even more. Based on this experience, I'd love to come back to the hotel either to dine or to stay overnight.

The suite has a large bedroom and a separate sitting room and a separate private bath. It takes up one whole upper side of the large house. It, like the rest of the inn, was immaculate. We checked in late afternoon and through the beautiful wall-wide windows watched the sun setting over the snow. Gorgeous. Everything about Maple Cove exceeded our expectations. So comfortable and warm. Plenty of hot water for a tub in the morning, window seats in both the sitting area and the bedroom for sunrise and sunset views. Beautifully decorated, but not kitschy or cluttered. They also supplied a mini-fridge, a K-cup coffee maker, plenty of towels, extra blankets and pillows. In the morning Jan made us a gourmet breakfast. I do not exaggerate. An incredible omelet, fruit and yogurt parfait, fresh coffee, grilled sourdough toast, potatoes (perhaps fondant?) and orange juice. Plus homemade cinnamon scones! We loved it and will go back in the summer to use the pool! This may be the nicest B&B I've ever stayed in. Thank you, Jan and Mark!

We liked sitting by the pool. Well.... we booked this again and when we showed up NO ONE WAS THERE. The place looked like it had been abandoned. The grounds were unkept with dead tree branches in the back. The pond was filthy. It looked like the maintenance person just walked away. They confirmed our arrival the day before but no one was there. We had to find a hotel after a long day of traveling. They called us to say "sorry." Really "sorry!" Don't bother. Last time we thought it was strange because it wasn't really a B&B - just a room but with the studio we could cook our own breakfast. I don't think they know how to run a business. One star is TOO MUCH.

The interesting thing would be to be aware of. Is the parking situation you can't park in front of the hotel, you can only get valet. The parking in the back is quite a big distance to the entrance of the hotel. And when you get in, you have to go through a side/back entrance then we through the building to get to the front of the building. The set up is very odd. Maybe not meant for people to drive here and only to valet. I'm not sure. Not sure how the area is at night or if it's safe, but I wouldn't want to just be driving up to park far away in the back parking lot and try to make my way into the hotel through the backside entrance on my own. There are some sketchy people in the car when I went during the daytime around 11 AM so that will translate to something I would not want to run into at night once you got into the hotel. They come up to that resolution due to the reason that the new Management took over the responsibilities December 02, 2025 and your reservation was dated way back November of 2025. Marian has no record of the agreement between you and the Manager during your checked in. They took over the Hotel last Monday and they have no records of the previous management before they Manage the property. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. Red Roof takes pride in providing superior service, and we are disappointed to learn that we have fallen short of our goals in this instance. The whole feel of the place is trashy and I was scared walking around at night. My boyfriend actually heard a drug deal take place right out in the open. The doors have these crazy locks that cannot even be opened by employees. I was glad the room was secure, but I definitely got the impression that there have been a lot of robberies. The room was dusty, the towels smelled musty, and there was an old fry on the mattress. To make matters worse we couldn't even get extra towels. According to the guy at the desk, the cleaning crew forgot to leave towels and we couldn't get any until 7 am. I was shocked when my boyfriend relayed this to me because towels are a basic amenity. It was only 7 pm, and since towels are a necessity, I was disappointed that no one tried to get in touch with the cleaning crew to remedy the situation. It was clear that no one cares about the upkeep of this hotel. We were so grossed out by the state of the room that we did not end up staying the night. What a waste of $65!
