Hand cut fries, crispy shrimp, huge drink selection, and a delightfully sassy bartender. What's not to like?

Delightfully sassy bartender, amazing food, and prime drink selection for a traveler passing thru. Highly recommended!

    This mac n cheese though...omg!

Sad, my first time ever eating anything from this place, and disappointed. Apparently, if you order through Grubhub, they don't care if your food sucks once you get it. My California Club was supposed to have avocado on it, assuming enough avacado to cover both sides of the sandwich. Yeah no. It had some funky 3/4 slice on one half and nothing on the other. The tomato was mushy, and the lettuce was yellow, limp, and getting brown. The tots with it were hella overcooked. Even my coworker said they were hard. The plus was the chicken breast was good, the sauce was tasty, and the amount of tots given was a lot, they were just inedible. My side salad said fresh greens, which to me is at least romaine lettuce or spring mix. Nope, just cheap chopped iceburg with diced cucumber, tomato, but a crap ton of cheese! Cheese saved it. The only thing saving this review was the 5 cheese mac. OMG! The side was huge, and practically a meal, and the creamy flavor was amazing. I did call Grubhub to see if anything could be done about just my sandwich, to which they told the rep all their sandwiches were done the same and they wouldn't try to do anything to fix this. You know if I had been eating there they would've attempted to make things right. I wasn't looking for a refund, even though apparently that's what the rep asked them for. Just straight nope to even trying to come up with a compromise of some sort themselves, or hell, maybe extend an apology?! Not sure I'll give this place a second chance after how the rep told me they responded to him, and how my food was. Then again, that mac n cheese...

Beware if ordering hard liquor. They barely pour a shot. Doubt I'll be back to try the food people are raving about.

I first discovered this cute cafe' 12 months ago and gave it 5 stars because the Turkey Reuben…read moresandwich was amazing. Today, I tried something else that I unfortunately didn't love, so I'm rating it 4 stars. Today, I didn't place my to-go order ahead of time and instead walked in and sat at the counter and sipped on a diet pepsi while I waited. I would describe the decor as cozy, rustic farmhouse chic, with lots of pictures of pigs. I had time to take pics while I waited for my order. I stopped in a bit later than the usual lunch rush, so there was literally no one dining in. A couple of people came in to pick up their carryout orders. The server was very friendly and down to earth. I ordered the pepper smoked turkey sandwich based on some reviews that raved about it. Rather than chips or fries, I opted to upgrade to a slaw for $2 more. I couldn't wait to get back to the office and try the food. Before digging in, I took photos because everything looked delicious. The meal was top notch quality. The turkey was thickly sliced with artisan lettuce and a garlic aioli sauce, plus cheddar cheese. The bread was a tasty sour dough. I ordered it without onions because I didn't want onion breath. Despite the high quality ingredients, it somehow wasn't amazing. It was very good but I didn't taste the pepper flavor on the turkey. The slaw was a nice mixture of kale, cabbage and carrots. For my taste, the cream sauce was on the sweet side, whereas my preference is less sweet and more tangy. Nevertheless, the ingredients were very fresh. As I reached the bottom of the bowl, however, there was a lot of runny cream sauce. Again, my personal preference is for less cream; someone else might love it. I know it seems like I am being overly picky, but I should mention that the total cost of my lunch (before tip) was $18.75 (sandwich, slaw and diet pepsi that was a fountain drink with mostly ice). Yes, everything is expensive these days, but I couldn't help being disappointed. I would absolutely return and order the Turkey Reuben in a heartbeat but wouldn't order the pepper turkey sandwich, slaw or soda. I'd also recommend dining in the adorable restaurant rather than eating at an office desk with plastic utensils!

All spirits and liquors are made in house. When we visited, they had their brunch menu going on which switches for dinner at 4pm. He sparked up some casual conversation with us, answered some questions we had, and made some great recommendations on drinks! He mentioned their two most popular brunch drinks were the Espresso Martini & Benton's Old Fashioned. We ordered both and WOW! Such a balanced cocktail, nice presentation, and great flavors. Their dinner menu was currently inspired by well known novels which previewing the menu had me wanting to come back. Such a fun spot with unique offerings you won't find at other spots in Toledo. Even if the coffee sucked balz, I'd give Earth Coffeehouse 5 stars on atmosphere alone…read more EC is located in a 115 year old umbrella factory (Haas-Jordan Umbrella Company) on Summit, in the Vistula district. This place is so cool and comfortable. The couches are great, the plants are fantastic; even the music, cool jazz, usually, is great. The local art on the walls is perfect for this type of place. The service is friendly, fast, and accurate. The only downside, IMO, is that Earth doesn't accept cash. Not a big deal, 'cuz I got credit, baby!! I haven't eaten their food, yet, but I can't imagine the food at a coffeehouse could taint my opinion of the place. Oh, by the way, the coffee is excellent. I like strong flavors, and EC provides those in spades. Sometimes after work, I like to decompress a little. And sometimes, I need a little caffeine-laden pick-me-up to catalyze, perhaps, an evening workout. Well, EC offers a unique opportunity to do both, simultaneously! Rating? As I said before, ENTHUSIASTIC FIVE STARS!

First, let's talk about what went well…read more.. The space itself is beautiful. The concept is absolutely necessary. While there is a coffeehouse/breakfast/lunch spot there is also the ability to pay for a membership and have access to some more private areas. This is an up-and-coming neighborhood, and everything we had was delicious. One of the women in our group got an iced chai, I had a great Cortado. Two of us split a salmon Caesar wrap. It was enormous and plenty big for two people. They have excellent waffle fries. The service, impeccable. To be fair, you go up, you order, and it's pretty much self serve like most coffee houses. Now, where they could improve. I tried to order a breakfast sandwich at 11:05AM and was told they had moved on to the lunch menu. Having a very small menu, it would be helpful if you could order breakfast items all day long. I went in really wanting a bagel with hot honey and bacon, but it wasn't available. While the salmon Caesar wrap was good, I really wasn't looking for a full lunch. Luckily I was able to split something with a friend. It is a very small menu. I can't stress that enough. I do like that they have seasonal drinks, call me crazy because I know it was almost 90° today but once school is back in session, I want a fall option. They didn't have one yet. Lastly, the parking! A lot of the parking was cordoned off today. It was like that the last time I went too. Parking was tight. That wasn't such a big deal for me, but it would be for a client. I meet with a lot of seniors with mobility issues. They just isn't a lot of accessible parking. This is a great event space and they have awesome coffee. I just wish the menu was a little larger or at least allowed for a full day menu and I wish parking was a little more accessible.
