I cannot speak highly enough about these ladies! Their communication is amazing, they are so knowledgeable, kind,and professional. They made me feel so at ease, as I can be quite protective of my baby kitties and was really worried about how he would react to the bath, nail trimming,etc. But he did sooo good and was sooo happy after. He was purring and rolling around and they even gave him and NY other cat (who didn't even get groomed) a toy! Then they sent me pictures and videos after, which I loved! Our cat Puffy should be named Mr Gumpypants. We were told by the shelter that the previous owners had to have him sedated by the vet in order to groom him and they usually just shaved him. Not only were the gals from Downtown Tabby able to wash and groom our grumpy cat... he actually seems to have enjoyed the experience! I was looking for some place to groom my cat and be sensitive to his needs. I knew he would be scared. Well, I didn't need to worry about the two women running this wonderful business. They immediately made my cat feel loved and you could see him immediately relax. He had a wonderful bath and was dried with a warm towel. I received a video showing him wrapped up in a fluffy towel while his face was being washed. He was being totally spoiled! I love this place and will be bringing him back for additional grooming. When I picked him up, he was so relaxed and calm that he didn't even complain about being put back in his carrier. These wonderful ladies also do boarding for cats so if you ever need someone to watch your cat while you are away, I would definitely check them out. read more

I had the pleasure of working with the ladies of Downtown Tabby today when they arrived to groom my cat Ivy. Sharon and Vanessa were nothing short of friendly, knowledgable, patient and professional from start to finish. Their grooming van is as immaculate and organized as a surgical suite. Their equipment is organized, well maintained and ready to go. Their demeanor is that of the patience and kindness they use while working with cats who can often be traumatized by the smallest of things, let alone water! They were conscientious about confirming my appointment as well as calling 30 minutes before to let me know they were on their way and allow me time to put Ivy in her carrier. They were booked 8 weeks out but I was willing to wait because of their extensive training and knowledge grooming cats, and I must say it was worth the wait. Ivy looked BEAUTIFUL when she was finished and was as soft as a chinchilla! She had the perfect little lion cut, which was exactly what I wanted. Best of all... Ivy was calm and relaxed when it was time to take her out of the van as well as the remainder of the day - zero anxiety associated with her spa day. Our long haired cat is 13 and was badly matted so sedating her for shaving is no longer an option at her age. We heard about Downtown Tabby and everything we heard was true.
