On September 23, 2025, I paid for a Japanese straightening that was supposed to leave my hair smooth and straight when air-dried. Instead, my hair was left with uneven texture -- wavy and curly pieces throughout that caused tangling and frizz. When I brought this to her attention, rather than acknowledging the issue, she gaslit me into believing I had dried my hair incorrectly. She refused to redo or correct the service, claiming it wasn't her fault. Instead, she had me come back in and gave me a completely different haircut than what I requested -- one that was overly thinned out, uneven, and nothing like the reference I showed her. I reached out again afterward, sent multiple photos, and explained how unhappy I was, but she completely ignored me and left my messages on read. I've been a loyal client for years, and to be treated this way -- without any empathy, accountability, or effort to make things right -- is honestly heartbreaking. I ended up having to spend $300 on a wig to cover the damage and file a dispute with my bank since she refused to respond or refund me. Clients deserve honesty and care, especially when something goes wrong. This experience showed me that Sandy is unwilling to take responsibility, and I wouldn't recommend her to anyone looking for professionalism or integrity.

To say I was disappointed is an understatement. While abroad, I discovered Hair Rebonding, and my gosh, my hair was so straight, and it lasted almost a year. I was so happy, but I didn't get a chance to go back again. Someone suggested I get Japanese Hair Straightening. I did a lot of research and found Sandy. She was so gracious on the phone with me. I made a plan to meet her the next day for consultation. Her prices are fair, and she is highly responsive on the phone. We set up an appointment for me to return on my chosen date. I texted her multiple times, and she promptly responded each time. I have attached me before and after pictures here for you to see. The video is to emphasize the shine. No filters needed. It took Sandy almost 5 hours to get my hair done. She took great care of me and worked tirelessly till she was done. My gosh! I was blown away by the result, as you can see in the pics attached. I received so many compliments and was truly happy. But..... the accurate result would be determined after my first wash, and after the keratin debacle, I was holding my breath. I finally washed my hair today, and my gosh! I am on cloud nine. I washed, towel dried, and I am done. My hair looks as good as the day Sandy did the treatment. It feels like silk. I am beyond happy and highly recommend Sandy to everyone. Thank you so much, Sandy, for giving me confidence and happiness.

Not too expensive at $15 for a spa manicure but not worth the poor job. The actual results of the manicure were pretty poor. Really messy filing, polish on my finger tips, I still have dry cuticles left uncut/removed, shaping is poor and lazy and my nails aren't square as I asked. The polish is patchy and all in all I'm a really disappointed. I've had to file them myself when I got back home to remove the rough edges left over. The spa is nice, the staff are polite and it wasn't too expensive but I wish I had gone elsewhere as recommended. Wasted $15 on a pretty rubbish manicure actually.

We opted for the "teaser set" that was advertised for $79. After booking online (vagaro.com/lashandbody was the only way to book online), I received a text stating that we needed to pay $20 per person to reserve the booking, and that amount would be applied to our service. Subsequently, I received several annoying reminder texts, one of which mentioned that the location had changed to inside a salon at a different address. Upon arrival, it was not a Lash Lounge as advertised but a salon that looked VERY different from the advertisement. Employees were sleeping in the waiting room. The individual who did our lashes showed up and took us to what appeared to be a storage room. During our session, a loud carpet cleaner was being operated, even banging against the door of the room. When I went to pay, I was informed that the balance was $160 ($79 x 2). I tipped $40, bringing my total to $200. A few days later, my Venmo statement showed the $40 reservation fee was also charged, making the total for services $200 ($100 each instead of $79). I reached out to Marienne twice to inquire about this charge, but received no response. I would not recommend this service due to misleading branding, location, prices, and communication. It is unclear if Lash&Body Lounge is aware that their brand is being used to promote her services.
