Threading gives me the precise, neat, defined looked that I want my eyebrows to have. Threading has a tendency to hurt more than waxing but it's worth it especially if you find someone who doesn't have "heavy hand". (Heavy hand refers to the amount of pressure the threader applies.) My eyebrows look good and I don't have to use makeup to fill it in nor to create the shape I'm after. When I met Niki I explained my frustrations and she assured me that I was in good hands. I went over how I want them to look - cleaned up, full, and my natural shape left in place. I really don't like the artificial looking brows that's created when makeup is applied to it. I did not accuse anyone or demand a refund. If I believed I had caused the issue, I would have gladly paid to have it corrected. Instead, I was told it may have been caused by pulling or possibly a health issue. At the same time, I was advised to remove the extensions myself using pliers while experiencing pain and hair loss. These explanations conflicted with the fact that symptoms began immediately following the service. The only reason I trimmed a small exposed portion of weft while traveling was because the row had already shifted and was visibly unraveling after the move-up. In a later conversation, it was acknowledged that the situation was not handled professionally. I was told an owner would contact me to discuss it further, but I did not receive that follow-up. For clarity, clients are instructed to contact Lizzy directly rather than the salon regarding services. The extensions were ultimately removed because my natural hair was being compromised. Subsequently, I received several annoying reminder texts, one of which mentioned that the location had changed to inside a salon at a different address. Upon arrival, it was not a Lash Lounge as advertised but a salon that looked VERY different from the advertisement. Employees were sleeping in the waiting room. The individual who did our lashes showed up and took us to what appeared to be a storage room. During our session, a loud carpet cleaner was being operated, even banging against the door of the room. When I went to pay, I was informed that the balance was $160 ($79 x 2). I tipped $40, bringing my total to $200. A few days later, my Venmo statement showed the $40 reservation fee was also charged, making the total for services $200 ($100 each instead of $79). I reached out to Marienne twice to inquire about this charge, but received no response. I would not recommend this service due to misleading branding, location, prices, and communication. It is unclear if Lash&Body Lounge is aware that their brand is being used to promote her services.
