I would not recommend this company. They cancelled 3 times over six weeks and then showed up when they weren't supposed to. When they serviced my furnace, the technician said it was deficient and that it either had to be repaired or replaced. A B tag was put on it and Embridge gas was contacted. That means I had 90 days to fix the furnace or the gas would be shut off in our house. The repair bill oddly was more expensive than to replace which is quite odd. Repair was 7000. Replace was 5000. Who would you choose to repair when they can get a new one for cheaper? I decided to get a second opinion and the registered technician said it was a scam and the furnace did not need to be replaced or fixed. He had the B tag removed. Extremely disappointed with Doyle Plumbing - unprofessional and unfair. Although the landlord arranged the call, I (the tenant) paid the full invoice. Despite this: Doyle refused to provide me - the actual paying customer - with any information, photos, or report about the blockage. They blamed my small pizza/wing shop for a grease clog, claiming it was "consistent with restaurant use." We do not cook with oil or fat, wipe all pans with paper towel before washing, and our grease trap was almost empty after 3 years use when cleaned days earlier. The section of piping in our store has a one way valve installed that would have likely plugged first, yet our plumbing was clear. Residential grease, laundry detergent, food waste, etc. from upstairs is far more likely. An apprentice/helper completely misrepresented a conversation, falsely telling the landlord I said our grease trap was "installed backwards" (I never said that - it was a hypothetical question to the grease trap cleaner asking what would happen if installed backwards - to which his reply was, "nothing would happen"). They failed to clear the line properly the first time and had to return, yet I was still charged for both visits. Zero transparency, inaccurate blame on my business, and poor service. Their employee ruined my brand new rug by dropping the old water pressure tank in my basement they were replacing.. it sprayed rusty red water all over my basement, wall, rugs etc!! they agreed to clean it all professionally but one of the rugs could not be fixed after cleaning as it's a viscose rug and very delicate! Once I informed them of this they blocked me and refused to do anything further other then $150 off my bill (Rug was brand as it was still partially rolled up and it cost $1400) Stay away from this company !!! Shame on me for paying my bills after Mr Doyle mislead me to belive they would "make it right" They also misdiagnosed some issues and had about 3 different plumbers out here to take a look and kept charging me without asking or telling me!! Ended up spending $500 (I only authorized $200 of that) and 3 plumbers just to misdiagnose an issue! They all kept telling me different things....company has no idea what they are doing. UPDATE: The pressure tank that they JUST installed stopped working today..I called today because they are the ones that installed it so it should be under warranty to have a service call. I told the woman on the phone that I was at home with 2 small children had no water due to the pressure tank if they were able to send some one as they are a 24/7 service .. she actually miss diagnosed issue telling me that my well ran out of water... I tried to tell her it was a pressure tank but she kept telling me that we haven't had rain in my well dried up which makes zero sense to me ...anyway... She pulled up my account and saw that I had left a bad review online under my "account notes" and said "SORRT WE CANT HELP YOU! and HUNG up on me!!!! WOW !!! Thanks for almost leaving a mother with 2 small children without water for a weekend!!... Luckily I was able to contact another company that was able to troubleshoot over the phone and help me to reset the water pressure in the tank! Also after explaining the issue in detail to her she told me my well probably dried up! I told her it was the pressure tank! The pressure tank that they installed just needed to be reset .......total Idiots! The company that ended up helping me over the phone I explained the issue the exact same way to them and they knew exactly what to do! DO NOT let these people in your house as they inspected other areas of my house rather than the reason that they were it here which was to give me an estimate to install a gas fireplace insert. Mike F. attended and was unprofessional because he got his pride in the way when he was asked to leave after I felt uncomfortable with him looking at my tools and inspecting other areas in the furnace room. He had no intentions of "red tagging" my house until I asked him to leave. He left, went to his truck and came back a few minutes later and stuck a "red tag" between the doors. Had a new heat pump installed. They said it would take two week to receive the unit, took nine months. Global supply chain issues had something to do with it, but the four month delay in them actually placing the order for the unit was a contributing factor. Spent the summer without A/C and then two frosty weeks without heat. Between that and the technicians visiting my house five times for measurements (which they still got wrong), it took a year until the unit was finally installed. Only thing they offered was a slightly reduced service and cleaning fee. Two stars because the employees were nice and the unit works great, but the company leaves a lot to be desired. read more

I would not recommend this company to anyone who is looking for maintenance service on their heating and cooling equipment. We have been with them since 2014 and their quality of customer service has degraded considerably. We had service schedule on 3 of our products....furnance, A/C and heat pump. Furnace was not done due to the need for a venting motor. A/C and heat pump were. Since installing the motor (at an exhorbitant price), they have cancelled and/or rescheduled our furnace maintenance 4 to 5 times and I had finally had enough. Was sent a invoice for $232 (which they said is the cost to do the heat pump maintenance and then an added line on the 2nd page for $95 which they say is the maintenance of the A/C. Needless to say, I paid them the $232 + HST and advised that we were no longer interested in their service. As an FYI, in checking with other maintenance providers, their cost was $99 per unit so you can see how exorbitant Doyle's pricing is. Think twice folks. read more

Doyle Plumbing, Heating & Cooling installed our master bathroom tub in December and it leaked into our brand new basement. It took them three visits and over a month to properly install a new tub in a new home. To finally fix it, they had to rip out drywall in our brand new basement. We sent the company an email saying we would provide an estimate for the drywall repair and asking that they cover the cost. They did not respond to our email and have not reached out to us with an apology or remedy to the damage they caused. We used the company for all of our plumbing and heating in a brand new home build, and not only has their work been sub-par, they make no effort to fix their mistakes. Had a problem with sediment in our well. Technician came out played around with our pump for 5 minutes. Told us we needed a new pump put in and told us all of our plumbing would have to be ripped out of the house and replaced. They wanted to charge us over $5000 dollars to fix just the well. When we said we did not have access to that amount of money he asked us how much money did we have? They charged us over $200 just for the visit. Corporate immorality or just plain greed? For efficiency purpose, a neighbour (60 ft away) and I (two seniors) contracted Doyle to each have plumbing repairs the same day. The service man arrived promptly and work was professionally undertaken. No complaints there. We were each billed accordingly. However, when the technician was at my location, the neighbour (a senior) directly across the road (again, 60 ft away) came across to ask if they could unplug a toilet. The technician did so and returned 5 minutes later. Upon discussing this with all 3 homeowners, it was revealed that we were each charged a service call fee of $145 +HST ! ( 3 X $145 +HST = $500.25 !!! ).While this may, and I stress may, have been legitimate for the first two jobs it is beyond comprehension how Doyle could justify a service call for the 3rd neighbour. Call it greed, immoral, unfair, unjust, exorbitant.... whatever. It is essentially gouging. Whatever happened to to reasonableness, discretion, common sense ??? read more

I do not recommend this company what so ever. They promised a job to be complete in 2 weeks.......2 months later still not complete. When we called to ask what's going on cause no one showed up for days they gave us the run around. Their prices are ridiculous. They charged us 1200 for the same shower you can buy at Home Depot for 899. The toilet was 199 at Home Depot and charged us 600. What a rip off. read more

Beware of calling this company.. strongly suggest calling some other company. I had supplied all the parts, and I had completed some of the work. It cost me about $875 for two rookies that did extremely poor work. They had ignored my initial instruction, and did a very poor job. I am sorry that I did not complete the job myself. Their blobs of coppersoldering indicated no experience, as well, as the ignorance of one of the guys not knowing what an attached shock absorber pipe was for. They failed to complete work as requested. Later, I had to call them back again to correct job. and later, I had to install a P Trap and replace a new leaking shut-off valve. I really fell that they were total ripoff for $875. for such a shabby job and unprofessional. Would strongly recommend (1) to first ask for free estimation of work, and (2) make sure that you gey the work inspected by the city. Be wise- call somebody else! read more
