My husband was in charge of finding photographers for our wedding, as he is an amateur landscape photographer and knew what to look for and ask. Johns and Leena were the perfect fit. We had a couple of engagement sessions with them to get to know them and their style. It was super helpful as neither of used have posed for professional photos before. They gave us tips on poses and how to not look so awkward (ha!). When we saw those photos, we knew we chose correctly. They have a great mix of understanding what you need for a traditional stand point for wedding photography but also have a unique way of capturing all the beautiful details and surroundings to make it that much more magical. Leading up to our wedding they made sure they had all the information they needed to do an amazing job. We shared our pinterest board, filled out a form and had a walkthrough with them on the days' schedule. Even on the day of our wedding, my husband walked around our venue with them to show them particular areas we wanted photographed. Throughout the process they were very patient, flexible, and made everyone feel very comfortable. The pricing was very fair and the photos are very high quality- they were able to capture all the important moments of the day and night. I wholeheartedly regret choosing Abella Studios as my wedding photographer. They were difficult,…read moredisrespectful, and unreasonable to work with. They nickle and dimed us every chance they got. The day of photographer didn't listen to our requests. We asked for dramatic and artistic shots, but the photographer insisted on cheesy shots. The videographer missed so many moments of the wedding day, and was combative and defensive when asked about it. The video was formulaic, cheesy, and lacked any bit of artistry. It was exactly what we asked them not to do. When we brought this to their attention, they tried to BLACKMAIL us by saying they'd do a few extra "complimentary edits as a courtesy" in exchange for signing a document saying we wouldn't write bad reviews. I wonder how many other clients they tried to blackmail. They charged me to ship my printed canvas to their studio for pickup. I'm surprised they wouldn't cover an $8 service charge on a package that cost thousands of dollars. They also wanted to up charge to have a title on my wedding albums. It's so tacky and off putting. We were treated like a problem to deal with, and they acted like they were doing us favors all while speaking in such a condescending tone.They're difficult, rude, obnoxious, and the product is nothing special.

The experience of choosing the photos for the album was incredibly convoluted. I just received my wedding album and apparently the "silver package" gets you more of a booklet than a wedding book. Horrendous! Photos are dark and dingey. The wedding "booklet" didn't even come with a title page or a cover with our names or the date of the event!!! What kind of trash is this?!?! Cheap cheap cheap cheap!!!! Stay away.

When I was planning my wedding, I wanted to find a favor that my guests would like, but also one…read morethat they would use. Most favors that are given out at weddings are either thrown away or put in the back of a closet and forgotten about. Not these! These were a MAJOR hit at my wedding! I had many of my guests tell me that night or message me days after and tell me that they thought that favor was the best one that they have ever received! Victor was just phenomenal. He made sure that he got everyone's picture, including my bridal party! He also was willing and able to put the photos into frames that I provided (unwrapped and ready to go, of course!). Nicole was a sweet heart to all of our guests. They very also patient with us as well (we postponed our wedding 3x since May 2020) and never gave us a hard time.
