Not all DQs are created equal! We came to this location for a quick dessert after having dinner nearby and what a pleasant surprise to find a little library tucked in by the entrance with a great assortment of books for the kids to dig into while they were having their treats in store! My daughter immediately went to grab a few light-hearted Manga and happily read while waiting for her blizzard. What a great concept when it's so common to see kids glued to their phones and tablets at most restaurants these days. I was very appreciative of this effort on the store's part and it was nice to see that they think about their customers experience. More than just Cakes and Burgers ! We stopped at this location to get an Ice Cream cake for an upcoming family event. The Cake were ordered needed some modifications and the wonderful staff made them while we waited. We have been running around all day and decided to have a snack. I have tried their burgers before and wanted to try something else. I ordered a Chicken Strip Basket with Buffalo Sauce and a drink. The Chicken was better than I thought it would be and so were the fries. I've been here quite a few times in the past. The last time I got a lousy attitude from some female. This time it was a male and it was much better service. However, I don't like how you have to drive around to the back to get to the drive-thru on the other side. You end up in a line when it's busy and then you end up blocking vehicles trying to exit to existing parking lot because it's shared with another business or two. Honestly not too impressed with this location. I decide to come to this location for dessert around 9pm on. Wednesday night. Upfront I told the the Fair Queen Employee at the intercom that I had 3 people who each has the DQ App with the $1 off Blizzard coupon. They told us that we cannot all use the coupons because it is 1 coupon per visit. I then clarified that if we can do 1 per transaction because we were willing to all pay separately. They releuctantly said yes and we continued on to the drive thru. We ordered : A Mint Oreo Blizzard A Royal Oreo Blizzard with Fudge A Oreo Fudge Brownie Blizzard ( Blizzard of the Month ) When we got up to the service window the employee was a little bit rude to us and gave us a hard time about our coupons. All three of us had redeemed the coupon and for some reason the code was the exact same on all our phones. It took a little while for all the transactions to go through but we got our food. Ultimately when we got our food and tasted the blizzards they were pretty disappointing. The Mint Oreo Blizzard wasn't mixed all the way and you could see the green food colouring in clumps, the Royal Oreo Blizzard was melting when it was given and it hardly had any fudge in it, and the Fudge Brownie had so little chocolate in the ice cream , that it felt more like a vanilla Blizzard. I have known about this Dairy Queen location for years. It is roughly a five-minute drive from my home. I pass by it often. I finally walked into the store for the first time. What brought me here? Three words: dreamsicle dipped cone. The other day, I saw Michelle W.'s photo of this fine treat and I immediately started to salivate. I love orange creamsicles. Getting a tub of Breyers version of orange creamsicle is deadly. I absolutely love it so much that I am capable of eating the whole tub in one sitting. The dreamsicle dipped cone is vanilla soft serve that is dipped in orange goodness. I wanted one badly the other night. I looked at the time and it was 10:40 pm. I saw that all lights were on at this Dairy Queen as I was driving home and pulled in. I parked and walked in. A helpful woman was there to take my order. She helped me out with the three cones sizes that were available. Yep, I am totally a DQ novice. I have only been to DQ a handful of times in my entire life. Yep, I am a late-bloomer. I ordered a medium dreamsicle dipped cone. I was excited to try it out. Debit and credit cards, and cash are all accepted here. I paid, grabbed my cone, and headed to my car. Here's my dilemma. Can I drive eating an ice cream cone? I can, but when I am this thrilled to try the dreamsicle, I decided not to risk it. I sat in my car and savoured it for a while before I left. It was so good. I loved the creamy vanilla ice cream and the crispy crackle of the orange shell. Delicious. I hope that you stay on the menu forever, dreamsicle. The next night, I got a small dreamsicle dipped cone. I felt the same way It was so good. Look out, DQ. I'm about to be a regular. The funny thing about my handful of DQ visits in my life is that they have all been dairy treats. The woman at the window thought that we were just using the same one over again, which was not the case. She was very sassy towards us, which was uncalled for. Reason for Visit: Ate out too much lately so going broke. Needed something cheaper. Menu: Decided to go with their $7 bacon cheeseburger combo with a drink, sundae, fries, burger. This is something they have all year around. When I went in, I saw their ad to download their app. I was quite excited I was going to get a free blizzard ice cream with it, but then the promotion is only for Alberta. Needless to say, I will be deleting the app soon as it is really quite useless for anyone in Ontario. The fries were very crunchy and thick, however the servings were definitely smaller than lets say Burger King or Mcdonalds. The patty was pretty tasty, but definitely on the thin side. Then you have your usual unlimited refills for soft drinks. Finally, the sundae was probably the sweetest thing I had in a while. They really have 0 regards for diabetes and my sundae was drenched with hot fudge. Anyhow, I did finish it and it was quite tasty. Service: The cashier actually brings your food over to the table when it is ready. Pretty decent service for a fast food restaurant. Atmosphere: Very chilly. They keep the AC on even during a snowstorm to keep ice cream frosty. Overall: Wish there were more deals/coupons but $7 for a meal is not a bad price these days. I don't know why but DQ has a VERY delicious strawberry sundae. I hate strawberry sundaes but I really love theirs lol I found out how good it is through the banana split. Yum! Grew up eating dairy Queen since I was a kid!! Still same great flavour, and there's just more and more choices for blizzard flavours! I still love the simple strawberry sundae. During the summer this location is quite busy with lots of kids, soccer teams that come. I decided to try their funnel cake today since I saw it on TV, and it looked really good. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. It was a little over 6 bucks, but not big at all, it was stale, and it seems like it was premade and just put into a microwave! I don't want to rate this place just on this product, but stick with their basics that has made dairy Queen who they are and you will leave with happy tummies!! read more

They also have some blizzard cakes already available in the freezer. These are made with vanilla soft serve and the blizzard flavor. You can also place an order for a specific blizzard flavor. The restaurant is always clean and they always have smiles on their faces. I usually either get a Smarties (thank for bringing that back) Blizzard or the Peanut Buster Parfait. They always load up on the smarties which is nice. The peanut buster has just the right amount of peanuts to fudge to ice cream ratio. I also like getting some of their hot food. After a bad experience with the Markham Rd. and Hwy 7 experience (find my yelp review for that), I went to this location. I needed to order a custom cake for my daughter's 1st birthday. The store was clean and looked relatively new and the staff was helpful in answering inquiries. They had a book of designs right on their counter which made it easier for me to glance through and choose a cake. The ordering process took about 5 minutes, which I appreciated. I called the store a few days later to ask if they had eggs in the strawberry cheesecake ice cream we had ordered, since selective attendees coming to the party were allergic to eggs. The staff was able to answer my question quickly. They said there were eggs in the cheesecake and that they would remove the cheesecake portion while still giving me fresh strawberries in the cake. That was very accommodating! The owner proactively told me that I could order cakes online and pay at the store. The customer service was exceptional. Came here with my bff to enjoy their new Peanut Butter Rolo Blizzard. We went through the drive-thu option since we were too lazy to get out of our car after working up buckets of sweat at the gym. We shared a small and let's just say...I will be working out more so I can have some more of this amazing blizzard. I've only been to this DQ and the one at Sheppard and Victoria Park. This DQ is a thousand times better than the one at Sheppard. I never tried the drive thru. There is always plenty of parking space at the back. Service is the best I've seen for a fast food restaurant. Every single time I've been there I was never disappointed. Burgers take longer to make so they tell you to sit down and they bring the food to you when it's ready. The burgers are always juicy and tasty. The dairy snacks are made with perfection. When you've found the most wonderful gem of a restaurant surrounded in a sea of Chinese restaurants, hidden just slightly out of the way, where the service is exceptional and the food without fail. Interestingly, it is a Dairy Queen, which offers mostly burgers and fries. You walk in and are greeted with a smile. Return customers are remembered from past visits; but they never presume to know what you are about to order. They very patiently waited to take your order and didn't rush, make suggestions or present themselves as anything but nice and courteous. As you wait for your order, you will notice that the restaurant is clean and presentable. The only issue thus far was getting a parking space out front because there are not many of them. This can't be blamed on the restaurant. Your order comes out hot! Although, some orders come with ice cream, they will ask you whether you want to wait on it, so, you can enjoy your hot food first, and then they will make your cold dessert. This is appreciated, so that the ice cream doesn't melt. When, you arrive back up to the counter to collect your dessert, THEY REMEMBER YOU AND WHAT YOU WANTED FOR DESSERT!!!! KUDOS! Sadly, your meal must end. People who live in the real world will bus their own trays; however, prince and princesses or Royals, as I like to call them will just leave. I came here to pick up some food for my kids today. The food here is pretty good and the service is great. The owner is super friendly and we always have a nice chat. I always get my son's birthday cake from here and he loves it. I would like to come here more often but I find the parking situation not too good and I hate having to do a left turn back onto Kennedy Rd, to go north back home.
