My wife and I went to see Dr Cheng today after my wife had a what we consider to be a large lump…read moreremoved from her breast two months ago. Let me give you some back story. We were referred by our surgeon 2 months ago with a caveat from our Surgeon that they were not to see us till 6 months after for recovery reasons. We were on vacation after two months and received a call saying to come in. In Victoria when they call you in you take it when you can. We went in only for her to tell us it's too soon even though she knew our surgery date and basically told my wife to massage the scar and come back in 6 months. She literally abused the health care system knowing full well Our surgery date so she could bill for it because she possibly had a cancellation. To add insult she had poor bedside manor making my wife stand in front of her undressed even while talking to her after. She didn't want to answer any questions because she stated it was too soon when we had questions instead of going to google which is not your friend in these circumstances. After all that I asked her what can be done if the scaring was very visible and she stated scars are desirable and was very dismissive when we asked about tattooing the white pigment of the scar. This was just an overall horrible visit and she had either her mind made up about us or she just wanted a quick visit to bill for our visit and maximize her time and money she was making off our visit. Her bedside manners and overall attitude I would ask to be referred somewhere else which is exactly what we did after providing her clinic with our feedback. I also feel that I would like to report her for billing fraud to our already strained healthcare system and possibly talk to her governing body. I don't usually leave bad reviews but this had to be said.

I am SO happy I went to Dr Pugash for my breast augmentation. He is very knowledgeable,…read moreprofessional, and concise. He gets straight to the point and is truly an expert. I couldn't be happier with my results, he gave me exactly what I wanted (better than I could have ever imagined). I trusted him throughout the entire process and my breasts look extremely natural and are the perfect size and shape for my body. His staff is also very kind, caring, supportive, and professional. I was extremely nervous as this was my first surgery, but I felt extremely supported and I trusted Dr Pugash and his team from the start. Although I had inquired about consultations with other top doctors in Vancouver, I knew right away that Dr Pugash was the right choice because his professionalism and surgery skills were so apparent. The entire process was extremely easy, stress free, and discrete, from the consultation to the surgery date, to all the follow-up appointments. I honestly couldn't be happier. 100% worth the waitlist and the money. Truly life changing and a positive experience.

Permanent damage, arrogant and dismissive response, ethically questionable…read more I had blephorplasty with Dr. Gray, which he caused permanent damage: medial canthal webbing, which sadly cannot be fixed. Leaving an unattractive, scowling, older look. I have since found out this is easily preventable and is due to how the surgeon closes sutures (sewing mistake to simplify). Again, easily avoidable, but once completed it's permanent. I've seen other surgeons since who have shared there's nothing that can be done to fix it. Dr. Gray's response to this was at first dismissive and audacious: he actually tried to say he didn't do it, then admitted as yes, he did cause permanent damage and then told me to 'get over it'. He went so far as to say I was too upset, the man charged me thousands of dollars after over promising and under delivering, to the extent I feel he was grossly misleading. His approach may seem calm and experienced however he's very cold and uncaring after making mistakes, and will patronize and blame you afterwards. Of course he won't return your money, he has no problem causing disfigurement to your face and then taking you for thousands, but hey, "yes it happened, so get over it" is what he'll say as he shrugs it off. He doesn't lose sleep over this or follow up with you. You are left feeling taken advantage of, misled, taken for thousands of dollars, and have to see permanent damage in the mirror every day for the rest of your life. But he doesn't have to deal with it, and he doesn't. I think the basic tenets in plastic surgery are to make you younger and hide the scars. One of the other things he did, was to go against both industry convention and my wishes as a patient and place the incision lines inches above the crease of the eyelid. Absolutely bizarre, and 100% against what I specifically clarified with him prior. He later told me (post surgery) he liked the look of a higher scar as it may give you a reddish colouring later that he prefers, thinks it looks like permanent makeup. Yet, he not only didn't discuss this with me prior, he did the opposite, when I asked if the scar would be in the crease (and hidden) he told me yes, then went against industry standard, my wishes and our agreement, and did the opposite. I was and am still horrified. It's not a nice polished look, it caused very visible high scaring that has an older, vein/varicose texture which is wrinkly and older in appearance. He not only caused permanent damage with the medial webbing, but strange and unusual scar lines inches above the eye fold. So overall I look older, and less attractive after his surgery. Lastly, my medical information was later shared against my wishes, without my consent, which made me feel violated, wronged, and disrespected...did I mention violated? Worth another mention. One of the bonuses of having the surgery done by him, is I knew no one in the city. Had just moved here, even my ride home was from a family member visiting from out of province. Yet my health information was shared with people I've never met. Patient confidently should be sacrosanct but I was left feeling violated and hurt.

Appointments have to be made online It's difficult to find contact info for specialists at the clinic. The staff are harried, over worked and under paid. Staff turnover is high, which may indicate a negative job experience for them. It's virtually impossible to get a face-to-face appointment The reception area feels like a hotel, not a medical clinic The care is uncaring, brusque, and perfunctory. There is no time for getting to know my "provider". I feel like a cog in a health care machine and miss the personal care I used to get from my doctor before he retired. And feel guilty for complainigg, because at least I have a doctor.

Dr. Ling Chen is the worst Doctor I have ever been to in my life…read more She is unwilling to listen to her patient's concerns and is extremely rude and cold. When I asked to look into my medical records to confirm a date for a medical test, her response was "I don't have time to read 100 pages". When asking her why I even had my records sent over, she answered "no, no more talking". When I told her I would like further clarification on the issue, she again shut me down and told me she would no longer see me as a doctor due to lack of communication. Absolutely appalling behaviour from a professional doctor. I wouldn't recommend her as a doctor, nor this clinic (the receptionist is equally as cold in her attitude) to anyone.

I attended my medical appointment with Dr. Morris at Lion's Gate Hospital. Upon our meeting, I mentioned that my father had the same issue and surgery performed and that he recovered with no change in his physical condition; his ear intact the same after as prior to his surgery. Dr. Morris' only response was a small chuckle and the comment that "You will be a little more aerodynamic when you leave than when you arrived". At no point in time did Dr. Morris consult what the procedure would entail nor indicate he was going to cut a large portion of my ear off, leaving the cartilage protruding out the back side of my ear without flesh nor skin to cover it. Upon my departure from the hospital, Dr. Morris advised me to leave the bandage on for 24 hours after which I could remove it. Dr. Morris provided no further guidance nor medicinal prescription or advice for taking care of the wound post -operation. My situation has only been made significantly worse than when I first visited Dr. Morris. To date the wound remains very sensitive and in constant stinging discomfort due to the exposed cartilage which has no flesh nor skin to cover and protect it. As a Plastic Surgeon, I would have expected the Dr. to want to leave a person in as good or better of condition physically and mentally post operation as prior.

The only hope I have it a lawyer that I have already talked to, he is going to take him to the court. KEEP AWAY HIM, SERIOUSLY, KEEP AWAY HIM.
