dr. biazarro is located in the heart of old san juan. i ordered the lychee fruit tea with coconut water base (+$1.50). it was way sweeter than i expected, and unlike usual lychee fruit tea. their menu includes smoothies, milk tea, iced tea, slushies, taiyaki ice cream and signature creations. their items are pricier than other bubble tea stores in san juan, but it's expected since it's located in a touristy-area. definitely recommend ubering over driving. there's tons of traffic and little to no parking. overall rating: 7/10 read more

The tea tasted amazing and hit the spot after a long, hot day in Old San Juan. However, the cup was a bit small for the price I paid and the tapioca pearls were stale and cooked differently so I had an assortment of textures from hard to way too squishy within my drink. I would go again if I was craving boba, but this is far from the best boba I've had. read more

CONS: - TIME: I ordered one drink, no one in front of me, waited 30+ minutes in the pouring rain - PRICE: I have never paid more than $5 for a boba, toppings and all, and will never ever again. I love supporting small businesses, but not if they're going to straight up rob me. PROS: - TASTE: the drink is decent. Not the best, but I have had worse and Puerto Rico isn't necessarily bursting with boba spots - VENMO: there is a minimum charge on cards but they do take venmo - Featured drinks: I think this is cool and can keep adventurous patrons coming back to try new combinations. I got the Joker which was a iced taro drink with boba at the bottom, topped with whipped cream, activated charcoal (????????), and kiwi flavored popping boba. I ordered a less-sweet "bantha milk" for a whopping $7 and it may have been the sweetest drink I've ever tasted. The menu said it was made from horchata and peaberry flowers, but it tasted like pepto bismol. I'm giving two stars instead of one because the barista was kind enough to dilute it with plain green tea. read more

Boba was just okay. We got a strawberry milk tea and the Potterbeer. The Potterbeer was the better tasting of the two. The tapioca pearls tasted like plastic and were not enjoyable, which was a pity. The wait time for our drinks was ridiculous. There was no one in front of us, and we had to wait over 15 minutes for someone to even come to the bar and make our drinks after we had placed our order and paid. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place, though I know there aren't many other boba locations in the island. read more

I loved the place the second I set foot in the restaurant but the love slowly dissipated little by little. The vibe was really cool and all the options looked amazing but the prices were a bit much. The drinks took forever to receive too. The place looked empty but across the street were about 5 other families waiting for their drinks too. A little warning would have been nice. Once we got our drinks it was nothing like expected. They didnt taste great and mine didnt have booze even tho I paid 4 whole dollars extra for it. The Pika Colada was basically just pineapple flavor rather than pineapple and coconut. In the end we threw out our drinks. It was very disheartening. read more

FIRST OFF..... My cousin and I came to this boba place after realizing it was our only means of getting our boba fix while staying in Isabela, that being said we were DESPERATE. Ready for our boba, we came to Dr. Bizarro at 6:49 and ordered a matcha boba with soy milk and tapioca and a taro boba with tapioca. The man taking our order advised us that it was "peak hour" and it may take 15-20 minutes to get our drinks. Since we were not in too much of a rush, we were fine waiting that amount of time, but the amount of time we ACTUALLY waited was absolutely ridiculous! We waited almost an hour for our drinks....You'd expect the owner to apologize for the wait but NO. An hour later, He handed us our drinks right as we were about to leave and asked us to pay regular price, no discount for the wait or anything. He continued to use his "its peak hour" excuse to silence our complaints, and gave us a lousy punch card (which we can't even use because we are visiting from out of town). Most importantly, the boba was not even that good. The tapioca was rock solid at the center and unbearable to chew. Never visit this god forsaken excuse of a bubble tea restaurant. read more

I really like their product, the only thing that bothers me is that my orders always end up getting messed up, I ordered a bubble tea and they gave the wrong one and then they tried to fix my order but end up getting one without the tapioca balls......i mean its a shame because their product is so good, unfortunately the staff is a bit slow in the process and also not doing what the client wants. I hope they can fix it and start doing the orders correctly because the next time I don't get my order how I want it I'll probably stop spending my money there. Also I'm giving this place 3/5 stars because I know it has potential but I should be giving this 1/5 stars because of how many times they have messed up my orders. PLEASE evaluate the staff, train it better because I really see the potential in this place, I wouldn't like it to close or people not liking it for being soooooo slow and screwing up simple orders. read more
