Not saying that you should expect English, but this shop definitely made an effort to help out in English since our Spanish is very basic. The people were really nice but the acai bowls were WAY overrated. I got a half portion of the acai green for like $4-5 but it didn't taste that great. The spinach wasn't blended well enough in. They really just cut open the acai and dump it into the blender and mix some foods in. I think you could easily make this at home... The pictures look really good but the food just didn't come up to par. Nice spot though to chill and work for a bit. read more

After a few days of eating anything and everything on our trip, we were desperate for a healthy breakfast. Right around the corner from the house we were renting was this lovely little gem. I ordered the regular Acai bowl but they had quite a few options. Mine came with bananas and this amazing granola and it was just perfect. My other half went with a acai smoothie (bonus- all of their bowls can be turned into smoothies if you prefer). He loved his as well. They also had a few wraps on the menu as well which we really want to try. The staff was very friendly and one of the patrons even left her lunch and called us a cab to get over to Old San Juan. I love it here! Flying in from Charlotte and immediate finding a healthy organic food stop made my day. The staff was super helpful and knowledgeable. We had a hummus sandwich, veggie burger and Jake mushroom Burrito. I was super impressed with their offerings for natural deodorants and soaps. Came here on my last day and I have to say this is one of the greatest places to come check out in Puerto Rico. I came with a group of 10 people and each ordered different food items. Let start by pointing out the bad things. Not the place fault but, the specific location is not great. Very little parking available and bad odors from the sweage in front were strong when we arrived. We visited the place to experience ourselves if the trend set by this place on social networks is worth the hype. I'll start by pointing out that once inside, you forget the outside issues. There's a team of young people who very kindly take your order and offer suggestions and alternatives of the açai bowls. You may think they're a bit pricey but it's nonsense once you think how much is a Burger King combo meal. Not that it compares but, the serving size of the bowls is large enough to consider it a full meal. You can see that when they use peanut butter, it is of the highest quality. The same thing for the toppings. My only complaint is that they used artificially ripen bananas. You can tell because they are bland and tasteless. The store also feature a mini health food with a decent variety of natural and organic products. Beverages include GT Kombucha, Sambazon açai drinks, spring water among others. Also, there are some vegetarian options available. Great concept and great alternative to support local businesses over chain stores. read more
