    Zombie Coffee toward the back.
    Gilbert G.

Great location to pickup bottled water before a walking tour at Plaza Colon or a visit to Castillo San Cristobal. The purple exterior of the place draws you in to the store, which includes Zombie Coffee (toward the back) and the DIY frozen yogurt terminals on the left front. If you have kids in tow, this is a great pit stop to enjoy frozen yogurt. It also has a restroom for customers only, which is very convenient. This place is a short walking distance from the Dona Fela Parking Garage, which makes it an ideal pit stop at the start or end of your walking tour of OSJ.

The other side of Zombie Bar .... Frozen-Yo. Really good set up for frozen yogurt ice cream. So if you're familiar with how these places work, this one is no different. If you aren't familiar, all the yogurt is in self serve dispenser machines. They had approx 12 different flavors to choose from. Choose one, choose two ... choose them all. Next up, in the middle of the room, are the toppings. They have candies, fruits, nuts, chocolates, etc. Again, choose as many as you'd like to have. Next up, pay. So they have scales in two different places. Place your master piece on the scale and they charge you based on how many ounces you have placed into your cup. I don't remember what they charged per ounce, but probably play it safe and watch kids if you have them. Filling the cup up can quickly lead to a $10 ice cream treat. Flavors were all over the place so you shouldn't have a problem making everyone in a large crowd happy. Plus, really nice to sit outside in the cooler evening air, after a hot day at the beach and have a little treat to end the day.

This review is for zombie coffee. We ordered expresso and latte and they were amazing. Very refreshing and flavor full. This place has refreshing type of atmosphere. A must try in old San Juan...

Didn't try the frozen yogurt so I can't comment, but I tried their coffee and fresh coconut. Zombie coffee was good, but not the best you can find in town. More importantly, the young lady at the register was less than friendly. A cruise ship was at dock, so my hunch is she doesn't care for all the tourists. And I agree, too many tourists can get annoying, but since I'm visiting as well I don't have much room to complain. Other staff are friendly, but it's clearly a tourist spot with young adults working entry level jobs. Not a lot of product ownership going on. If you're in a hurry this place might be fine, but if you have time, track down a locally owned family coffee bar and get the real Puerto Rico Coffee experience.

Decent selection of froyo and with the surprising few ice cream place in Old Juan, good place to get something in the heat. it's a standard froyo place as far as fruit selection and toppings go. Slightly priced to the higher side compared to the other places I have tried. It does have good island themed flavors like coconut.

Coffee was good, and the frozen yogurt is pretty tasty. Coffee is self-serve at a bar in the back. You can make everything from an Americano to a Latte, add a half pump of this syrup and two pumps of that one, and finish it off with a sprinkle of cocoa and cinnamon. The yogurt toppings range from oreos to gummies - the standard froyo fare. A fun and refreshing stop while wandering around Old San Juan.

Different flavors of yogurt with different toppings to choose from. Clean place. Will have to come back and try the zombie coffee.

FrozenYo- You'll get your frozen yogurt fix. They had flavors that I would find at home. I was hoping for some "authentic" flavors, whatever that means. But, it's froyo! It was much needed in this weather. I was happy. Super convenient location, you can't miss it! And they have outdoor seating, perfect for people watching. Enjoy!

Great little frozen yoghurt shop in San Juan. An interesting concept where you serve yourself, the obvious danger being that you will get far too much as the tubs are huge. I filled my tub about one quarter full which cost just over $3. Free samples are available if there's a flavour you're not sure about. Free wifi is a bonus too.

Of course the name zombie coffee caught me eye. I hadn't been in Puerto Rico for eight years. And this place is a nice new addition to the charm of old San Juan. We went in and ordered an espresso and a café latte. The coffee is made especially for them and is quite nice. They also carry a selection of craft beers. They have some healthy options and of course you can get yogurt. I hope to visit them again upon my return.

Half the machines were out of service, most of the toppings were empty or dried out. Expensive. Friendly staff though.

Over prized coconuts that were not even sweet. They use disposables, non of them are compostable, not even the straws.

AMBIANCE Parking: Old San Juan rules--come early or be ready to walk. Seating: Multiple seating areas for individuals and small groups but it's also a cafe too so there is seating in the back too. Vibes: Clean, modern café with a mix of locals and tourists. You can tell people come here for the coffee, not just to pass through. It leans more intentional and coffee-focused rather than just aesthetic--which I appreciated. FOOD / DRINKS Coquito Frap (Recommend) When in Puerto Rico, Coquito. Creamy, coconut-forward, and lightly spiced--like a frozen coquito with a coffee twist. Sweet, smooth, and definitely more of a dessert drink than a regular latte. CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly and efficient. Even with a crowd, things moved quickly. TL;DR OVERALL 4.5 Stars. Solid spot. Great drink options at a reasonable price. They know what they're doing. Whether you're a coffee person or just need a reset, this place delivers. Salute to the Munoz family for sharing their coffee to the world! We loved it so much we actually went twice during our trip - and even made a final stop before heading to the airport to go home. On our first visit, Hector (the roaster) happened to be there, which made the experience feel even more special. The staff overall were all so kind and attentive. The coffee is absolutely excellent - velvety smooth, rich, and delicious. I could easily drink more than one cup. I had a latte, and my husband had a macchiato, and both were great. They have a cute little outdoor atrium seating area, but we preferred indoors where all the comfy pillow seating was. Just a note - they don't offer decaf - but for regular coffee drinkers, it's a must-visit. Such a gem in Old San Juan!

If you're on Calle San Francisco and the Coach store is to your right, keep walking till you see a yellow chemex sign on your left - that is the entrance to the coffee shop. Once you enter, it's a very tight space at the register and the alley is in the back with a few tables. The only menu I was able to peruse was that on their iPad which was annoying because I felt like I was holding up the line. I ended up ordering a small iced latte. I initially ordered it to enjoy in their alley, so I was told I can pay when I leave. I was there mid September and as much as I wanted to enjoy sipping my latte in the alley, it was super hot and stuffy. They could use some fans. Plus, it was taking forever to have the latte brought to me. As such, I went to the front to let the staff know I'll take it to go only to find him giggling with some friends. I guess that's why it took forever for me to get my drink. The latte itself wasn't bad, but considering the cost and the useless wait time, I would've gladly passed on this coffee shop.

We were welcomed inside where we ordered with an iPad. There were several options for drinks and pastries. We were then escorted to the beautiful patio in the back, which is completely hidden from view on the street. The drinks were delivered to us in glass cups, and the pastries delivered covered by glass dome lids. The drinks and pastries were all 10/10. I am usually not a an iced coffee drinker, but I savored every sip of my drink. The mango pie and pecan tart were also delicious. The burger patty lacked flavor and there was no sauce or any accompaniments besides a very sad, wilted, thin slice of tomato and lettuce leaf. Pretty bad burger! The chicken sandwich was so heavily fried, we almost broke our teeth against the chicken. Insanely salty--we couldn't take more than a few bites. Felt so parched for the rest of the day.
