Not an ounce of arrogance or ego that some may find elsewhere. With Dr. Gruber, I am a participant and not a subject or specimen. I appreciate it when Dr. Gruber collaborates with appropriate staff to review my symptoms and share his thoughts and plans for course of action. I also want to extend my appreciation to the staff. Everyone is friendly, professional, efficient, and personable. The waiting time is minimal and I do not feel rushed through any exam or procedures. Appointments are easy to schedule. Grateful for one positive experience after another. After too long looking for diagnosis and treatment with other doctors at other specialty practices, I finally feel hope and relief. Hats off.

My daughter was a patient for a short time following a car accident.(we were referred from the E.R.) We have since changed doctors. However I have been trying to get my daughter's follow up visit records from this office since March 2022. We need them for an insurance claim. I have emailed numerous times and have been told they are being sent and then not received. They no longer return my emails. I have gone to the office and left notes under the door to have them contact me and they dont. Finally went and got someone actually in the office who then phoned someone and told them that I was there. The other person told the receptionist to tell me I would have the records by the end of the week. That was at least 3 weeks ago. This is absolutely unacceptible! These are patient records that we are entiltled to receive! Not to mention they are holding up an insurance claim that needs to be filed. I will make my way to the office again to try to get what we need but I am hoping that leaving this review will put a fire under them to take care of this. (if they even see it)No one should have to go through these lengths to get their medical records. So if you are a patient here beware if you need your records!!!

She has a lot of concerns, has long had difficulty being taken seriously at the pediatricians' practice, and increasingly complained of discomfort and palpitations for over a week prior to her visit. I booked through ZocDoc, so it didn't actually generate a true appointment with the younger Dr. Hertz. I would have understood being moved to a different day, but on a busy Sunday, they still fit my daughter in to see the other Dr. (Howard) Hertz. Yes, there was a wait, which is to be expected on a Sunday and I brought a book. My daughter wanted to go in alone (her first time) and she was very apprehensive, and had been distressed in the days prior due to intensifying discomfort and broad symptoms. She came out of her visit extremely relieved, her concerns addressed, and with some testing appointments scheduled. She is afraid of blood draws, and said the nurses gave her an alcohol pad to sniff (normally I am there with her, so she was probably more anxious). In her entire medical history, she has always felt like any symptom she asked about was unaddressed, and the change in her demeanor after her visit was immediate - she was no longer scared she was seriously ill or on the verge of death. So on a busy Sunday, Dr. Hertz had a billion patients and still managed to make my sensitive/shy teenager feel heard, seen, and safe. I wasn't present so I didn't get the chance to explain her distress and discomfort, and he and the nurses noticed and addressed it anyway. My daughter is relaxed now and feels relieved, and I am so impressed that every person with whom she interacted made her feel safer and calmer. And I finally got to read my book!
