He had the open flame and alcohol too close to my hair and body. Alcohol was spilled onto my hair and neck as he lit the flame causing it to catch fire. It happened so fast. I jumped up to put the fire out while he hit my head also trying to put it out. He rubbed something on my neck after I told him it was burning. He told me I was ok and to relax. I was not ok, the stinging of the burn became intolerable. I asked him to remove the cups immediately so I could seek medical attention. This is not safe or acceptable practice.

I work in the ER, and although I was sent home with steroids and antivirals, I still felt lost because many of my questions were unanswered and no one could give me a clear reason why it happened. I was told it could have been triggered by a virus, stress, or lack of sleep. Before starting acupuncture, the entire right side of my face was completely paralyzed. I could not smile at all, I could not close my eye, and I had to tape my eye shut every night to protect it. Given my previous experience I recently decided to return while experiencing extremely tight muscles in my lower leg which after just one session has made a huge difference.
