I was diagnosed with Bell's palsy on January 22 after my symptoms started on January 21, and honestly it was one of the hardest experiences I have gone through mentally, emotionally, and physically. I work in the ER, and although I was sent home with steroids and antivirals, I still felt lost because many of my questions were unanswered and no one could give me a clear reason why it happened. I was told it could have been triggered by a virus, stress, or lack of sleep. Before starting acupuncture, the entire right side of my face was completely paralyzed. This is my second time here. I came with the hopes to help in my fertility journey. I had initially came here before my son was born and completed 10 sessions and then a month later I found out I was pregnant. I came to this clinic seeking fertility support and left feeling unnecessarily scared about my body. They used an "AcuGraph" machine to scan acupuncture points on my hands and feet and then told me that my kidneys, liver, and uterus were "blocked" and that my uterus was "cold." I was also told that being vegan was the reason my chart looked bad. These conclusions were presented as if they were medical findings, even though this device does not measure organs, hormones, ovaries, or fertility. After this, I was immediately offered a very expensive long-term package (around $3,000) that included many sessions and hydrogen gas. The tone of the consultation felt more like a sales pitch built on fear than supportive healthcare. I later learned that the AcuGraph measures skin electrical resistance, not organ function or fertility. While acupuncture itself can be helpful for stress and circulation, being told that your uterus is damaged or blocked based on this test is not medically accurate and can be very distressing -- especially for women worried about their fertility. I wish they had focused on supportive care instead of making me feel like something was seriously wrong with my body in order to sell a large package. I'm sharing this so other women can go in informed and not be made to feel broken or afraid. read more

They won't give you any kind of prices besides the initial visit price so no matter what they're gonna get $60 out of and then say hey we recommend 12 sessions at $120 each. I first started seeing Dr. Lanie Quan a couple of years ago when I was pregnant with my first and needing to do electroacupuncture (EA) to ease the pain and make labor easier. I found her online by googling where I can get it done near me, after I read about it's benefits for labor and delivery. I was so glad I found her in Tracy and not needing to go out of town for the procedures. Dr. Quan is very talented at her job; before then I have experienced other acupuncturist for other procedures but never for pregnancy. Since then, I have been seeing Dr. Quan for subsequent pregnancy-related procedures, cupping, and even a postpartum facial treatment. This review will be a long one, but I promise it is worth it. I've struggled with IBS since 2021 and my GI has suggested acupuncture numerous times as an alternative to medication. Never looked into it until I started to have what I thought was carpal tunnel pain really bad early last month and found myself searching on yelp for acupuncture. I live in Escalon, so my options were always going to be more than a 30 minute drive. I searched through Modesto and Manteca and not one business stood out to me or made me feel that I would be safe under their care. I then started to look further from me which is Tracy and Dr Lanie Quan's office was my first recommendation. Right off the bat I was intrigued, not only does she have 4.9 stars (I think this is the highest I've ever seen on yelp) but she has multiple yelp awards, amazing reviews and the amount of services she offers is exciting and intriguing. I quickly sent her a consultation request via yelp and had a response within a few minutes! At the time I only complained about IBS, peeing 4 times throughout the night, migraines behind my right eye,night sweats and little to no sleep. Well, somehow within a week of us messaging, I started to experience painful symptoms that even led me to the ER. After some lab work I was told I had a very high white blood count and symptoms that sound like an autoimmune disease. The very next week I had my in person consultation here. The moment I walked into Dr Lanie's office, I felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. The smell, the sounds, the pure kindness in the voices of every single employee she has automatically puts you at ease and makes you feel safe. It's like my anxiety was sucked out of my body & was happy to finally have peace. After having an acugraph performed on me by her office manager, I got to meet Dr Lanie and we went over my results, then treatment plan and cost. Not only did she predict a few of my symptoms I didn't even mention to her, but she also predicted the exact diagnosis my doctor ended up giving me! Fibromyalgia!! We started on an intensive treatment plan, I visit her twice a week. I have not changed my diet, I have no exercise routine and my bed is my favorite place. Within 5 sessions, I am now experiencing little to no pain (just this last week I had 0 pain), my blood work went completely back to normal, I am now sleeping through the entire night, Ive had little to no IBS flares, I've lost 4 pounds and I have energy through the day! I'm still so shocked, Dr Lanie's results speak for itself!! I was even told by my pcp to continue my treatment with Dr Lanie as she is a huge believer in acupuncture and even looked her up during my drs appt and took her info down to make a visit! How cool is that?! Now, if you're worried about the cost I can assure you Dr Lanie is the best deal you can probably find. I spoke with a few people I know that also get acupuncture in sac, Bay Area and near ukiah and they pay roughly $50 more than me a session and have far less options of treatment than Dr Lanie does. As soon as you come in for treatment, you get a seamoss water shot, a sound/oxygen treatment in your ears then acupuncture and possibly cupping or even a metal detox treatment! After every session you are also sent home with patches that Dr Lanie tells you what area of your body to place it on, and it helps with pain, or immunity or sleep or whichever she gives you! It's exciting trying new things here and seeing how my body responds to all of it. I am an absolute believer and will scream and shout about Dr Lanie and the wonderful women she has working with her. I truly hope after our intensive session plan, I can continue to see her at least once a month for years to come. Also if you have anxiety about needles or pain like I am, the needles are the width of one hair strand. A few weeks ago I had a very unexpected complication from an ear infection. The fluid build up from my ear infection led to inflammation and pressure on my facial nerve causing facial palsy (Bell's Palsy) on the right side of my face. Obviously, I sought medical treatment but in addition I wanted to do anything and everything that I could to help boost the healing process. That is what led me to Equilibrate. I have been going to Equilibrate Acupuncture for about 6 months. I had been having headaches daily from morning to night, without relief. Began treatments with Dr. Quan every week, twice a week; and was 80% improvement and almost headache free after first week. I went to Dr. Quan for pain management due to my sciatica. I was not able to stand for more than 3 minutes without being in excruciating pain. Dr. Quan did a thorough exam before suggesting a treatment plan. After two sessions, my pain went down substantially, 50%. Just this past week, due to her and her staff, I was able to fly to Anaheim, watch my daughter compete at the dance competition, and walk around in Disneyland with minimal pain. 5 stars all the way. I'm on my last phase of nursing school when I decided to go see Dr. Lanie. My stress level is over the roof and everything is just taking a toll in my body. Dr. Quan is the real deal. I had ciatic lower back pain shooting down my right leg to my ankle. This pain kept getting progressively worse for almost 2 years. 3 doctors, 2 xrays, and 1 chiropractor later, no one could help me. Dr. Quan and her staff are AMAZING! I first went to see Dr. Quan 2 years ago for severe sciatica, in which I was not able to stand on my own or walk a few steps without being in excruciating pain. After a few sessions, the pain was dramatically reduced (over 50%). Several more sessions later, it was gone completely. Recently, I went back to Dr. Quan for neck pain and sinus congestion. I noticed a significant reduction in pain and sinus drainage after the 1st session. I really look forward to my visits there at the clinic. The staff is polite and knowledgeable and they all seem to be on the same page which is achieving positive results for the patient, immediately (if not sooner).
