I recently had my first visit with Dr. Frederick at Hibiscus Medical, and I'm so glad I made the switch. She came highly recommended from a local DC group I'm part of, and from the moment I walked in, I could tell this office was something special. It's beautifully designed--calm, clean, and thoughtfully put together--with the kind of atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. Her staff was friendly, welcoming, and organized, and everything ran smoothly from the moment I arrived. Dr. Frederick was warm, attentive, and truly took the time to listen. I could immediately tell she really cares about her patients' well-being and brings a wealth of knowledge to her care. Parking was surprisingly easy, which is almost unheard of in DC. He is the most patient, knowledgeable doctor I have ever had. He genuinely cares about me and when an occasion comes when I have to see a specialist, I can count on him to (1) send me to someone as professional and caring as he, and (2) be knowledgeable of their recommended treatment and encourage me to follow through, especially when he senses my hesitation. He has never steered me wrong. Now, needing to see another specialist, Dr. Lee has recommended me to someone I feel comfortable that has my best interests at heart. I can't say enough good things about him and know that I will be in his practice for as long as he will have me, which I am hoping will be a long time in the future. The last time I tried to contact him to get a prescription for a UTI while on vacation, he refused to fill the prescription since I hadn't been to see him in the last 6 months and advised me to go to the ER. Talk about a waste of resources. I would advise you to keep looking for a doctor that is reliable and actually cares about his patients.

Thorough, friendly, and knowledgeable, I couldn't be happier with the whole experience. I hadn't seen a doctor in three or more years, so I had a lot of questions. Dr. Kimbrough was extremely patient in dealing with any issue or concern I threw at him. One Medical Group is membership-based primary care. It costs $199/year, but is worth every cent (and then some). It's kind of like a medical "start-up" done right. Online scheduling, really long appointments, nice offices. Check 'em out.
