The doctor informed me that one wisdom tooth was close to a nerve and recommended a CT scan, One of the assistance came in and advised me I had two options either pay out-of-pocket 250$ or submit this request to my insurance not get the procedure done and wait for a few weeks and come back but we agreed to move forward with removing the other teeth while the CT scan request was submitted to insurance. I was given nitrous oxide and IV sedation at approximately 12:30 PM. When I woke up around 1:30 PM, I was informed that the procedure could not be completed because I had started kicking during sedation. Prior to the procedure, I had informed the staff that I had experienced a similar issue during a previous wisdom tooth extraction years ago. Because of that history, I made sure to disclose my past experience. What left me frustrated was the lack of communication and clarity regarding what happened. I left feeling confused, especially since we had already discussed and agreed on a treatment plan before sedation was administered. The entire situation felt unusual.
