He removed a wart that had to be cut out and made sure my son was not scared and was very gentle and reassuring. I also had an older daughter who had a wart on her toe, she tried many times to have it removed with no success by other Doctors..Dr. Ali had to cut it out and made sure she knew what to expect..It was painful of course but Dr. Ali again talked to her and tried to keep her mind off of what was going on..He has the best bedside manner and positive attitude and makes you feel like you are important and that you matter..I have brought most of my family to him and have refered him to many people..I will continue to be a faithful patient ..

Incompetent Phlebotomist - Disciplinary action or suspension pending proper training is needed to…read moreensure this never happens to anyone else.  The phlebotomist was inept at drawing blood and there are no excuses. He literally stabbed me in the arm and then again at sharp angles trying to correct his failure hitting nerves. This was not gentle and not proper technique. He asked me to let him know if it hurt and I did. This was intentional, unavoidable and unwarranted.  The clinic was busy (4 day weekend) but there are no excuses for this kind of treatment/abuse. I have never in all my years seen anything like it. There is no reason why he should not be disciplined as he is incompetent at his job. But then since there were no witnesses my guess is this will keep happening. Accountability is needed.

HOWEVER; I unfortunately suffered from a dental emergency and needed 3 root canals or extractions. I was in extreme pain, couldn't eat, couldn't sleep, and had never been to another Dentist. I had an appointment booked and they gave me some freezing to help with the pain. Unfortunately since I hadn't slept in weeks I slept through the appointment (with all the other pain medication i took i was out cold). They refuse to accept me as a client now. - bc I missed one appointment (kind of understandable though and would have paid their cancelation fee or missed appointment charge or whatever it was they want to charge) but of coarse now they have tossed aside one of Dr. HITZOU'S favorite patients. I'm extremely disappointed, and was taking my daughter to the office also, but now I'll be going elsewhere. I found this very disrespectful - especially for a very loyal and long term patient of Dr. HITZOU. I don't feel like anyone in the office cared at all about my health, or about my teeth. I also don't feel like I was treated professionally. I dont think that they even bothered to try and accommodate me. I think they could have been a little more empathetic and a lot more understanding. I think with all the years I had been coming to that office - they certainly didn't appreciate me as a client the way Dr. Hitzou always did. Im never one to look for pity, and I'm not one to make excuses. But this has made me realize just how greedy, and selfish some people really are. I'm very let down, and STILL haven't had my teeth fixed.

Mostly for massage and acupuncture…read more When I was in my 20's I had a lower back injury from sports and they have helped me with flair ups caused by looking after children, and other ways I neglect my body. I have seen multiple massage therapists and a variety of treatments that I have asked for. My preference is deep tissue massage and cupping, but also some great relaxation massages as well. One of the main reasons that I return to Healthy Roots is that the people are always friendly and ready to talk. They present themselves in a professional manner, but most of all the synergies that they offer between practices is wonderful. Acupuncture, massage and now chiropractic care. They have it all! P.S. Upon suggestion from their staff I was suggested to hit the sauna to end some of my sessions. If you have time, it is well worth it.

She listened to what my pain was and was able to do exactly what I asked, I had encounters with some of the other staff who displayed the same professionalism as she did even though I wasn't their client. Will definitely be returning to healthy roots and recommending to everyone.
