The first time was for 6 minutes and then she picked up again only to put me back on hold after I told her I was on hold and needed to make an appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Lee & Associates. Theirs is a friendly, communicative, & efficient office. Dr. Lee & Dr. Matt are both professional, thorough, attentive to my concerns, & straight shooters, while also super friendly. I know folks from all over the Central Valley and the Sierra Foothills (and myself a Merced native living in the Bay Area!) who make the drive to their office because of the wonderful, personal care they provide. (If you love food like I do, Dr. Lee & Dr. Matt have restaurant recommendations from all over the country at the ready!) I always receive a call when my glasses are ready after they've been checked by their staff. Just recently, I needed a new prescription for my glasses. Decided just to go with same frame, maybe different color. When they found it was discontinued, Cindy sourced similar styles and had them ready for me to try. I found one that was perfect (and more hip than my old ones!) As always, I was extremely pleased with their prompt & personal service. They are also very active in the community & sincerely care about their patients like friends & neighbors. They volunteer to provide free eye exams at local schools. Dr. Matt has served as clinic instructor at UC Davis, he guest lectures at UC Merced (and other schools I believe), and is on call to advise & teach at Mercy Hospital. They are very serious about giving back to the community. I also recommend them if you need a second opinion. My friend's father had an issue that his other doctor couldn't figure out. He came to Dr. Lee who was able to diagnose it immediately and provided him the appropriate course of action and the pros/cons of waiting or proceeding with treatment, so that he could make an informed decision. Another friend whose young child had an eye turn, said their opthamologist (a surgeon) not surprisingly said that the child needed to undergo multiple surgeries over the next several years. They of course were concerned about subjecting their child to this. They went to Dr. Lee who said that his young patients have successfully overcome the same issue without a barrage of surgeries (or an eye patch) - instead correcting it in a way that strengthens the eye muscles and allows proper brain & nerve development, especially important in young children. That approach gave them much welcomed peace of mind. I am extremely happy being under their care. I have nothing but compliments for their entire team. read more

Let's start with this, the office staff was extremely helpful and cheery. I felt really exhilarated when I started talking with Dr. Lisa, who by the way is a kind-hearted spirit that is super knowledgable and answered my barrage of questions about my situation. My situation: I'm colorblind and I was trying to get a pair of colorblind glasses. Dr. Lisa was honest about not knowing about the colorblind glasses I was talking about but she made such an effort to work with her team to understand the exact lens I needed to see color. So the ladies in the lab called other labs and tried to get me these glasses. After I received my glasses, I went on a walk around the park and saw green for the first time. It was amazing. I even got a call asking how my eyes were adjusting to the lenses. Overall, will come back. I felt really well taken care of. read more

I absolutely love Dr. Lee's office! I have been coming to him since the 90's. I got my first pair of glasses as a little girl from Dr. Lee. He is such a kind & personable guy! I moved a couple hours away to Mountain View & I still come back to my hometown to come visit Dr. Lee for my yearly appointment. I have thought about switching to a new eye doctor that is in my new town because it would be easier, but I enjoy coming & catching up with Dr. Lee & seeing all the nice girls in the office. First impressions are everything to a company and i was shocked to see the women at the front gossiping and using perverse and unprofessional language in a way that made me question the professionalism of the doctors themselves, Overall the doctors were very pleasant but that experience was over clouded with the unprofessional-ism up at the front while i waited, so i give this office a 1 star in my book. read more
