Dr. Arellano arranged for our COVID testing at our condo before returning to the U.S. It was so easy and very reasonable cost-wise. His office also did a great job handling our group of 8 and working through some email errors on our end. Highly recommend! read more

We use this service whenever we need to get tested to come home from Cozumel. I just booked our next appointments today and sent the information to our friends who will also be in the area. They come to you and results are quick. I enjoyed the process more than the roadside service near Costco. So, this is now the one I use. read more

Founded in 2014 by Board Certified and Licensed Physician, Dr. J.J. Arellano. He is proud to serve in Cozumel Island and responds to his desire for the need to provide quality English spoken in-home medical care to any international tourists, divers, athletes, cyclists, bikers, students, artists, and businesses at conventions. Even the increasing Community of Expats in retirement or the "snowbirds" that spend part of the year in Cozumel!

Meet the Manager: Dr. Juan Jose Arellano Romero A.

Born and raised in Mexico City but 100% fluent in English and has been Board Certified since 2008, studied in the top-rated Med School in Latin America: UNAM. Almost 4 years now, and since then has been working for the people of Cozumel. He's trained in Emergency Medicine, Tourism Medicine (with all Knowledge of Advanced Trauma Life Support), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support. Dr. Arellano is trained to perform (and has!!) a successfully Cardio-Brain-Pulmonary Reanimation.

It's honestly unfortunate that Dr. JJ's reviews have been tainted by a couple of low IQ individuals. I mean, you just have to read the verbiage to figure out what kind of gringo tourist stereotypes they fill. Anyways, I just wanted to share that I reached out to Dr. JJ before arriving to Cozumel, by cruise, to ask for pharmacy recommendations. Mind you, this had nothing to do with his services as a doctor since I just plan on visiting a pharmacy to purchase some medications OTC. Still, Dr. JJ went straight to answering my questions and even personally visited a pharmacy to snap a photo and send me some voice memos along the way. He suggested I visit a chain where prices are standardized to make sure I'm protected as a visitor. I discovered him in a Cozumel locals FB group where he is highly recommended, and he definitely lives up to the reputation. Not once did he mention money or try to convince me to see him for scripts or his services. He gave me his time of day out of the goodness of his heart. Save his phone number in your phone if you plan on visiting (use WhatsApp for my fellow Americans), he is a great resource to have! read more

Big shout out to Dr. Juan Jose Arellano. My wife came down with a UTI. He spent 20 minutes on the phone with us and offered to make a house call. Since he was only a few blocks away, we walked over where he spent an hour with us for an examination, prescription and setting us up with medication. Highly recommend him for any medical problems you have while here. read more
