I placed my trust in this clinic and expected trained professionals who would prioritize patient safety and understand how to properly treat clients with different skin types. Instead, I have been left with a painful and prolonged recovery process that has affected my confidence, mental well-being, and daily life. To their credit, they are currently attempting to treat the hyperpigmentation that resulted from the procedure with hydroquinone and tretinoin. However, it is incredibly frustrating to need corrective treatments for a problem that I believe should never have happened in the first place. I went in seeking cosmetic improvement, not months of recovery and additional interventions to address the damage. I understand different places categorize things differently (i.e. French bikini, Hollywood bikini, Brazilian, etc.) which is why I stated bikini/Brazilian in my text and also during the consultation. I never explicitly stated only bikini, I said both. It was not only until AFTER the session was done was I told the full cost for the Brazilian which is $500 total. I paid the difference because I've already completed my first session and felt like there was no choice. But what if I could not afford to pay the difference? What then? If I had known the price initially, I would have shopped around more. There are definitely places that are more affordable. While not everything is about the price, the service is. I also work as a manager in the service industry and when there is a misunderstanding, I always ensure to make it up to the customer to the best of my ability and inform them before we proceed with any service. While I was not expecting a discount or anything, I did expect better tact. I had planned to recommend this place to my friends and family because everyone was so kind and it was what I thought as very affordable, but I unfortunately will not be due to the lack of service acuity.
