From the outside, Dr. Love's looks like an interesting place. Sort of like a cross between Frederick's of Hollywood and a Adult Toy Shoppe. Upon entering, I was somewhat disappointed. The clothing/costume section in front was full of cheap quality boxed or incomplete sets on hangers. The back half of the store made absolute no sense at all with an adult magazine and DVD section (are we back in the 90s?). The only redeeming part was the decent selection of adult toys and the superb customer service from Salvador. In all, I found the quality and selection at Spencer's Gifts in the mall (Northridge and Topanga) to be superior but a bit more pricey. read more

Stay far away from this store! The fact that this stores yelp is filled with fake profiles leaving fake reviews just goes to show how shady this store is right off the bat. They sell knock off versions of toys. If you go in for a Fleshlight you will get sold a cheap knock off which feels nothing like the real companies products. They do not communicate with their customers at all. If you want to feel unsafe and uncomfortable while looking for toys then this place is for you. This shop doesn't have quality products. I went in today with my BF and got a small vibrating tool. We confirmed that the tool came with batteries, via the description on the box. When we got home the tool was not working. We made sure the batteries were there and they were but it still wasn't working. And the strange thing is that the batteries were already inside the vibrator even though the batteries have a place where they should be stored in the packaging. It makes me wonder why they're already inside the tool and not in the packaging. So this item doesn't work, it kinda ruined our night.
