I waited a long time to write this review, but after looking at the other 1-star reviews, my experience with their customer service was not an anomaly. As a precursor, I have had good experiences at this store with off-the-rack items. They also took a bra that I bought on Etsy that was too wide on the band, and adjusted it down for me so that it was more wearable. I thought that was beyond their scope of work and was very considerate. Now, let's get to the custom work that I got done in November 2023. I ordered a custom white cheeky panty and white varsity socks. Because of my measurements I asked to have a staff member take my measurements so that the fit would be exact, and I also asked for a couple adjustments to be made to the panty. I paid extra for this. I waited the four weeks and picked them up in December. I did not try them on until I got home so that's on me. *note to all: always try the items on at the store 1) The socks were BAGGY. 2) The panty did not have the extra height that I had asked for in order to be more high waisted, as I wanted to cover a scar. I can still wear these, but the point was to wear them with the socks. 3) The color was a dingy ivory. The order receipt I had said the color was listed as "oyster" which is a different color that they offer in addition to white. My email order was for white. I sent in photos immediately that afternoon. I called and left a voicemail. I called and emailed again. I finally talked to someone and she took notes for production, also saying that the customer salesperson (Genesis) went to a different department. I never heard back after that. There are a few other places in LA that I'm already looking to work with. It's just a bummer since Stockroom has a storefront. read more

Ehhh. I wouldn't come back here again. I like that they have nice artisanal items, but I felt like they were kinda stingy and weird about their stuff and customers' stuff. They didn't card me or my partner (I always get carded at shops) but made me put my bag in a locker?... Their selection was more focused on custom/expensive fetish gear, which does set it apart from other shops, but I do sorta scratch my head because I would rather get it from Etsy or independent artisan who can take my measurements and custom make it for me if I'm gonna shell out $300+ for a suit. If you're wanting walls of variety, selection or color, this place isn't going to offer that. I also was in the middle of buying an item from them and noticed that they had a 10% off for leaving a Yelp review. When I noticed this, they just said "oops sorry" when they absolutely could have cancelled the transaction (I hadn't signed yet) so that I could leave a review and take the discount. Also, no loyalty card or anything? Between the distrust of the customer by having dedicated lockers for leaving their items and not doing this thing, this really left a bad taste in my mouth for what their aims are here. read more

I hate to do this, and I tied to be very patient... but my experiences with the stockroom have been repeatedly unpleasant and just negligent. I've spent hundreds upon hundreds of dollars at this place, and I've had many gifts bought for me from this place too. I ordered a few things, and weeks passed. I emailed customer service to ask for an update as I had not heard anything from them. No one replied. I wait another week and reach out again. Still no one replied. Finally I reach out on Instagram feeling somewhat disrespected and they responded saying only part of my order was ready, and that they were within the turn around time it takes to make the products. That's fair enough. But an update or response the first two times would have been cool. So they send the part of my order that is ready, and the dress wasn't made properly, it was defective so I had to send it back. On top of of this, me and my husband were recently in the area and we went in to their store to shop around. The girls working at the counter were really rude and unpleasant, and there was a couple trying things on in the changing rooms and I overheard them making fun of them which I thought was really not nice. We bought some things after suffering their terrible attitude and then left deciding we were not going back. But there's more... There are other parts of my order that still haven't arrived yet and it's now been two months and they said they'd check for me about it but when I said I felt this was disrespectful and they aren't taking very good care of their customers they just never responded. I'm still waiting on three pieces and it's been months. If you want latex, go to syren latex on Etsy.
