My daughter started going to this dentistry at 3 years old. Another dental hygienist recommended this as a family friendly office for my daughter. She is four years old now and is very comfortable 'going to the dentist'. The office is warm, big prop trees divide the space between the office and the waiting room. There are enough books to keep a small classroom entertained and my daughter felt catered to. The dental hygienist was so kind and offered me a spot to sit to watch my daughter. She asked if they could do X-rays which I agreed to. They were careful to explain how the teeth would eventually push through and at what angles. My daughter was busy watching a movie with provided headphones, so none of the procedures seemed to bother her. After her cleaning, she got to choose a prize and enter into a drawing to win a bicycle. All very exciting to a four year old. She'll look forward to more of the excitement. I had to email their front staff to fill out a form for her TK registration earlier this summer and they replied within four hours of my request. Absolutely gaslit by a severely misinformed dentist at this office. I went in with a well-researched plan for my very challenging child that I was hoping to have an open discussion about and instead was gaslit and repeatedly having to defend my stance. 1. Glass ionomer is absolutely a viable option for a tooth with no enamel (as my child has) as a preventative measure/temporary solution, three dentists later and all the ChatGPT and Gemini data I can consume, I was right. It was literally designed to adhere to challenging teeth situations, including my child's, a no enamel tooth (which is actually quite rare, so there probably is some enamel present) and in his case, one that has not fully erupted. The chemical reaction that takes place does not need "hooks" to bond - it literally is an acid-base reaction to either enamel OR dentin creating a true chemical bond and thus a seal to temporarily protect said tooth. Both enamel and dentin contain hydroxyapatite - the key player is Calcium. The polyacrylic acid has negatively charged carboxyl groups that can chelate to calcium ions. So when GIC is placed on the tooth (regardless of whether it is dentin or enamel), the acid conditions the surface, some calcium is available on the surface and the polyacralate chains form ionic bonds with surfac calcium and you get a chemical adhesion layer. Only difference is that with dentin, mineral density is lower, more organic matrix present and more moisture - so while it is a lesser bond, it still absolutely chemically bonds and would give the tooth some protection while we wait for it to fully erupt, for him to mature and hopefully continue work through his gag reflex. Basically buy time. Chemistry was my favorite class. 2. When I say no stainless steel cap or amalgam - I MEAN NO STAINLESS STEAL - and you are also WRONG if you think they do not contain nickel. Nickel is literally the ingredient needed to allow dentists to FORM the cap. It's not for you then to debate me for 10 minutes. I do not want the added release of Nickel into his system, a metal his father has a KNOWN ALLERGY TO. My child already has brain inflammation - I do not need to increase his load. Instead of listening, I was questioned multiple times about "how allergic my husband really is" or my favorite "all my other PANS/PANDAS patients are fine with the stainless steal". DO NOT CARE. Until you hold your child while he is convulsing himself to sleep because his brain is inflamed and his motor tics are out of control, you don't get to push your narrative. I am telling you as his parent what I need from you. Don't gaslight me into something because it is easier and cheaper for you. The rest of the office, awesome - great hygienists, awesome front desk - so sweet, great with kids. If you have a kid with no issues and just regular checkups, probably fine. But if you have a unique situation that requires thoughtful consideration with knowledgeable dentist, I would NEVER take my child back here. He deserves better care and as a parent, I have standards = a dentist who doesn't gaslight and understands the very basics of the treatments they are responsible for giving. read more

My son has been going to Dr. Rabitz for the past 2 years and just recently it was my 1st time taking him for his 6-mos visit. My husband usually takes him. When I first yelped "pediatric dentist" I found Dr. Rabitz and saw how great the reviews were but I was surprised to see how decorative the office was (like a first forest) and that there was a wall dedicated to the little patients for having no cavities. The staff were very friendly and this was my son's first time seeing Dr. Lam. She was very sweet and was wearing head band with a lamb on it. Cute! The check in process was fast and were called within 5 minutes. We were taken to a sink where my son gets to choose a toothbrush and then brushes his teeth with it. The toothbrush then gets seals up in goody bag and he is walked to a station that had a small chair that fitted him perfectly. It was one of the many questions they had there. Each chair was divided by a cabinet door for some privacy and a stool for a parent to sit on. He gets to choose a vitamin flavor for his teeth and was given the head phone to watch whatever movie was playing. Within minutes, Dr. Lam arrived and she looked through his teeth while speed talking to her assistant who was typing to document her observations & check up on my son's teeth. She answered some questions I had not asked yet and showed me some things I didn't know. Did you know teeth have birth marks? I didn't. After the check up, Dr. Lam moved on to the next patient and the assistant applied the vitamin on my son's teeth and we were done. He was then directed to the treasure chest to grab a toy. I went out to the front desk and schedule the next appointment while handed a little yellow sticky with my son's name on it. I was distracted watching my son's picture taken as he didn't get a cavity so I wasn't aware that I had to put the sticky in the big giant tooth for some kind of lottery/prize (my husband shared the reason for the sticky when I came home with it). Oops, i thought it was a label on my son's dental goody bag to label it. My husband and son knew this process yet they didn't tell me. Sighs. I would definitely recommend this office, however, I do want to let you know that they charge $14 for a cavity assessment and Delta Dental Plan does not cover it. I thought the whole point of the check up is to assess my son's dental health including sights of possible cavities. Doesnt make sense. I had noticed this on my very first bill and didn't know that we can waive it as they dont ask you for your permission. You can ask them to waive it when the bill comes. I asked in advance this time so I'll see when the bill comes if the fee is included or not. Overall, I am very impressed with this office. read more

Dr.Lam is the very best. She is very smart, gentle, kind and outgoing. I have been bringing my four kids to see her since my oldest was little. He is now 14. My youngest is now 22 months and under Dr.Lam's care, she didn't cry the last time she got a preventative filling done on the back of her front tooth. Dr. Lam is really patient and very caring and thorough. She gets back to you quickly, returns calls, and follows up to check on how things are going. The front desk is also really nice and it's super easy to make appointments. They are very responsive and accommodating over texts. The office itself is very kid friendly with lots of toys for kids to choose from after their appointments. The office also is decorated to look like a forest with trees which is a nice touch. I have recommended my sister and she brings my nephew to see Dr. Lam and even tho it's a 20 min drive for her, she doesn't mind bc she's been really happy with Dr. Lam and the office. read more

This is an office with great dentists who truly care about making kids happy, healthy, and comfortable going to the dentist. Our kids went here for about 5 years and we were really happy for several years. It looks like a forest, there are toys in the waiting room, they give fun prizes, and in every way they're so centered around kids. Our experience with them wasn't as good during Covid. I want to be honest about it because it was frustrating for us, but I understand it's very difficult to operate safely in these extraordinary circumstances and it's a challenge for every dental office. The problems started because they made parents wait in the car rather coming in with kids. Now, that's very understandable and I'm super glad they were trying to be safe. The idea was for them to text us throughout the visit so that we could know what was going on and approve of treatments. Well, I told them when we checked in which number to text, but they texted my wife instead - she was at home working, not with me. She told them to stop texting her and to text me since she was busy and I was the one waiting downstairs, but they kept texting her throughout the whole visit. They said their system didn't have any way to change the number. During our second visit, everything seemed fine, but then after the visit they asked if I had any questions about the treatment that I had consented to. i told them that I hadn't consented to anything. After some confusion it became clear that apparently they came downstairs and talked to a different parent, thinking it was me, and got someone else's verbal approval. They promised the dentist would call me back to tell me more, but it took over an hour before we got that call, and when we did, the dentist started talking about a completely different child! When they realized that they had gotten their files mixed up they went and got my kids' files and then told me about their visit. I completely understand that they needed to figure out a way to keep everyone safe, and keeping parents out of the office unless absolutely necessary was not unreasonable - but it definitely led to some communications issues! read more

This is a decent pediatric dental office with a generally kid-friendly atmosphere. I used to take my child here but we switched doctors when Dr. Lam told me they wouldn't try sealants because of a strong gag reflex during xrays. My child does have a strong gag reflex but was fine at a previous dentist in another state, yet at Rabitz I agree that gagging was a problem. Subsequently, we haven't had a problem gagging at our current dentist as long as they listen when a break is needed. Our current dentist was able to put sealants on the molars as recommended. Otherwise, I liked the doctors we saw at Rabitz although I wanted them to try sealants and exercise a little more patience with respect to a quick break or two for the patient. The office staff was friendly and we never had any issues with billing. It was also relatively easy to schedule appointments. read more

They let him have a toy up front which was nice, took us to a room with a door to help contain him more. She offered her email in case we had further questions or concerns. Then we were done. Very easy. Then, they let him get another toy at the end. This past week it was my 2.5 yr olds turn for his 1st check up. This meant all 3 kids had a dentist appt and they loved it. They put us in the rooms becuase sister needed to get her molars sealed & to help keep little one comfy. It was great. Dr. Lam played a quick game of show me where your nose, ear, head is with my older son so my younger would copy, she worked on my eldest 1st, & casually laid my youngest next to my oldest & did his exam. My son has been a patient since he was 15 months old due to some pretty serious issues with teeth and Dr. Rabitz and his team were amazing then and continue to be amazing now (my son is now 16.5 :-) Merleen is the best! Always greets with a smile and always very helpful! And I love the newer dentists as well, especially Dr. Suzy (who has been my son's primary dentist now for several years). Dr. Rabitz is our two boys' dentist. They are ages 6 and 4. They had some nerves about visiting the first time but were put at ease as soon as they saw the "tree house" decor and fun books/toys in the waiting area. Once in the chair, they were able to relax and watch a movie while wearing headphones- so cool! The hygienists have always been very kind and patient. Dr. Rabitz talks with the boys about school, favorite colors, and birthdays which sets them even more at ease. They respect him and listen to him closely when being taught how to care for their teeth and gums. Added fun, the kiddos get to search for a prize in the treasure chest after their appointment. Dr. Rabitz is an excellent pediatric dentist. Our daughter feels comfortable there - both in the waiting area and in the treatment rooms. The waiting area has been decorated in a kind of forest / play-area style, and it's very cute. The treatment rooms have TV screens in the ceilings and the kids get wireless headphones so they can watch stuff while they are treated. Not a peep out of my daughter the whole time she was in the chair. Her eyes were glued to her movie :) There was a very slight miscommunication during the process with some of the insurance logistics, and I was extremely impressed by how quickly they resolved it. The doctor called me personally to clear it up. Addressing issues this quickly and honestly speaks volumes. I love the way Dr. Rabitz talks to kids, and the way he explains the choices carefully and calmly to us (worrisome) parents. He's definitely top tier! read more

Love this dentist office. We have been going her for about 3 years since our daughter was 3. They are so patient with the kids and go out of their way to make sure the kids are comfortable. The waiting room is very inviting with toys and special chairs for the kids. Each dental chair has a TV with the latest kids movies, plus you can bring your own video to be played. This is great when you have more than a cleaning to do. Our daughter needed a filling done and needed a little laughing gas to relax her, she got to select the smell, color of the nose piece and they took the time to walk her thru all the steps of what they would be doing. Love the cute names they have for all the tools. Nothing like hearing your kid giggle a little thru the filling process. I wish my adult dentist offered that option. When everything was done and we were leaving my daughter asked me why they didn't drill a hole in her tooth yet, I told her they did and even filled it up.. she said, "Really? I didn't even feel it." I called to schedule an appointment for my boys ages 4 & 6...they would accommodate my 4 yr old but not my 6 year old. They don't accept new patients over the age of 4. Too bad they don't realize they just lost out on 3 new patients as I have 3 children. Their loss not mine and what a stupid policy!!! read more
