Each & every team member at this pediatric dental office is incredible with kids. They make every step of the appointment straightforward and stress-free. Their online insurance update paperwork is very convenient to fill out before the appointment, which takes a load off of arriving at the office to fill everything out while attending to an active toddler. They recently redesigned their waiting room, so that it feels a lot more open, with new toys, and the latest Disney movies available for other siblings to keep themselves entertained. This allows parents to fully utilize their free, high speed Internet. There is also an assortment of tea and coffee from which to choose. It's a win - win situation for all family members involved. The nice thing is, if they accommodate one of the siblings to do treatment on the same day as the cleaning, they allow parents to bring the other sibling to their afterschool event, and they keep the sibling who's in treatment very comfortable and safe, while parents run their errands. The kids always feel at ease, following the sweet dental assistants into the clinical area. They have soft, soothing music playing in the background with festive songs during the holidays. The ambience imparts a sense of calmness and tranquility, even when there is a lot of activity going around in the background. The team stays on task & is organized. We never feel rushed through any of the appointments. There are plenty of extra chairs for family members to sit and relax in their expansive operatory area. The open chair setting allows for young kids to say hello and make endearing new friends. They feed off of one another's positive energy. Gotta give a thumbs up to Dr. Andrew, Dr. Ivan, Dr. Amrit, and Dr. Omid for all being calibrated to the same high standard of patient care that is set forth with Dr. Cyndi. Each doctor has his or her own creative and fun style, and it's reassuring to know that they generate the same excellent result with the exams & cleanings. They make fillings, crowns, and even extractions, a piece of "sugar-free" cake for really young children. Their RDA's are so meticulous with the gentle cleanings and giving personalized oral hygiene instructions that are easy to follow at home. Everyone here puts the patients and their families as their number one priority. She is very good at explaining insurance breakdowns and policies. On the clinical side, each RDA is technically skilled and very adept at making sure every family member and patient is comfortable. The open bay arrangement of dental chairs allows for siblings to be next to one another, thereby imparting a reassuring feeling for the children. This also lets the younger child watch the older child get the cleaning and exam done, so that there is no anxiety for the little one about what is going to occur for the appointment. The office space is well appointed and cozy. The holiday music playing in the background lends to a very calm, peaceful, and lively environment. I had gone to this dentist office for years since it was a different dentist when I was a child until just a few years ago. I was still a patient through when I was 25, which I know was obviously my own choice. I brought up specific concerns about my gums and teeth grinding with Dr. Yee, which she assured me were nothing to be worried about, and now I have pretty severe gum issues for my age. While I was in my 20s, the staff encouraged me to stay with them, saying it was no issue and one hygienist even had her 30+ year old daughter coming there. The staff was really nice and friendly. They persistently asked me to write a yelp review for them, which I did for 5 stars. I wasn't active on yelp at the time (at least 3 years ago) so I didn't have a photo, and after I wrote the review, they even asked me to add a profile picture on Yelp I guess to make the review seem more legitimate. When I was still going here, I brought up my concern about my gum that had started visibly receding on one tooth. Dr. Yee didn't offer any suggestions or solutions. I asked for a night guard, which they made for me. She was aware that I had teeth clenching/grinding issues. Every time I had an appointment, they always said how nice my teeth were and Dr. Yee never brought up any issues or potential issues. The same year, I switched to a regular dentist because I was still concerned since this recession was visible for at least a year at that time. The new dentist told me that my recession was concerning and not normal for my age, which aligned with stuff I read online. They offered suggestions to prevent this from becoming worse since gum recession is pretty much irreversible. The staff and Dr. Yee are very nice, and I appreciate that I was always welcome even as I was getting way too old to be a patient there. I also appreciate that they quickly sent x rays for me to send my new dentist. However, I am really disappointed in how my concerns were not addressed constructively. After that, I was pretty turned off by how they really wanted me to write a positive review on Yelp and even asked me to add a photo after I had written a review. I honestly believe I could have prevented my gum issues from getting to the point that they're currently at if I had gone to another dentist earlier. read more
