Upon receiving an estimate and clarifying and modifying two points, I and this business entered into a binding contract on 8/26/19. Immediately thereafter, this business indicated that additional measurements would be necessary, that work could not begin before 10/3/19 and that payment by check or credit card bearing a "convenience fee" of 2.5% was immediately payable. I replied that I would pay the installer making the additional measurements a cash payment on the day he arrived at my home since I didn't have personal checks and since I didn't want to pay a convenience fee. In reply to this, the operations manager wrote to me saying, "It appears that we are not the company for you so we are asking you to find another company to complete the job." There is not "another company," I insisted that the business not walk off the job and I presented a cashier's check for 50% down that was refused when I visited the office that same afternoon read more

From my experience with the construction industry I was treated professionally and with courtesy. The installers were on time and the work was quality. Outstanding roofing contract to work with from the sales consultant, installation supervisor and install staff. Very professional. Had a number of custom requests that they worked to fulfill exactly. Metal valleys, exact upgrade Marlarkey shingles in the color style we wanted, new replacement skylights, best synthetic waterprooof underlayment under lower shingles, all metal flashing, upsized metal roof vents and extra roof rafter block vents to bring roof crawl space ventilation up to current code requirements. Met all Marlarkey install requirement so we got the highest long term Marlarkey warrant. High quality old tear off and installation crew. Fast crew also cleaned up all debris, cleaned the gutters. Is it going to be noisy, yes, this is a high speed construction crew using the latest high speed nailers and equipment. Took all the old roof tearoff to the front roof and dumping into their truck in the driveway. NO yard or flower damage at all. Got more than we expected and anticipated. read more

No regard for timelines - - Paid deposit for job to be completed within 3 weeks back in Feb 2016, 13 weeks passed, job never completed - Install date given, install date passed - Second install date setup, Dr. Roof cancelled job because of damaged windows Incompetent - - Never able to complete the job, poor communication - 8 weeks passed from date of ordering without a word from them, I had to reach out and find out the status of the job - Did not know windows were damaged until day they were set to install them, job cancelled - - Recommended we get a " creative friend or family member" to do a job to avoid city permitting process and to reduce cost for one job for which we asked for an estimate Unreliable/Unprofessional - - Could not seem to get windows ordered, could not get job off of ground - Had to reach out many times, no one was the face of the company taking responsibility for job from start to finish - After windows were damaged and install could not take place, phone call and texts to company owner were never returned Poor communication - - Lack of responsibility for communication follow-through by local manager - Estimator had no communication after blunders started - When job got sticky, manager passed us off to the installer - Phone call/texts to company owner were disregarded after install didn't happen Do not use them! read more

We had our roof replace in May of this year. Dr Roof was quick and efficient. They got us on their schedule within two weeks of our order. We had to reschedule a couple of days due to weather, but once it stopped raining they got right on the job. Communication was very good and coordinated. Once the crew started they completed the job in 4 1/2 days and we have a large roof area. They even worked the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. Great job by this company. read more

I had another bid from Home Masters- for the same amount for my primary residence. Dr. Roof did reduce their bid by $100 so I went with them- mistake. First their crew arrived late. I had to keep.calling asking their eta- not professional. They never provided any sheets to use inside to cover furniture. We had a skylight replaced and their work caused a big mess in our master bathroom. They also said they used 4 pieces of plywood due to damage but never took pictures at the time. I did ask a sales person to come back and show me the 4 pieces of wood they used- they did but it should have been done by the supervisor Jeremy at the time it was replaced. Then I had to negotiate their over inflated price per plywood sheet- watch this on their bid. I asked them about $100 referral bonus for my neighbor who recommended them to me- referral bonus is on their brochure- their salesman said they don't do this anymore..well why advertise you do? Seemed dishonest practice to me. Last straw was they damaged a small piece of our driveway when they brought the shingles. Next time I need roof replacement/repair for my rental properties I will not be calling Dr. Roof. read more

I needed to get my garage roof replaced this last summer. Out of the three bids I got, Dr Roof was the most reasonable. Shawn was great to work with and addressed any concerns I had before and after the work was done. So we need some work done around the house and always like to support small business's. Needed one window replaced, roof cleaned, and gutters cleaned before fall. Called and spoke the scheduler and all seemed great. We agreed on a date and time to meet at my home to go over the work. The day of the appointment they never showed up. One hour later someone called me and started asking questions about the work. He was informed I needed all my windows replaced. When I told him it was only one window with roof cleaning and gutters cleaned the tone changed. He asked if he could drive by in the morning when no one was home to have a look and would get an estimate to me. That's the last I ever heard from this company. They had all my contact information and apparently my job was too small for them to make any money off of. At least they could of called and told me this. Honestly I don't know what happened to good old customer service. They structure there jobs to maximize the profit and leave the little guys out in the cold. I have since called more mature companies and had the work done. So if your thinking of using this company I'd think twice. read more

I am so thrilled with my beautiful new roof from Dr. Roof in Hazel Dell/Vancouver! It looks fantastic! What an outstanding crew. I had the nicest team of 5 guys at my house for 5 days. Not only were they incredibly hard working in our typical northwest spring weather (warm and sunny to pouring down rain), but they left my yard, driveway, deck and balcony cleaner than it was when they first got here! I so appreciate the way they all took pride in a job well done right to the end. I am happy that I went with an organization right here in our local community instead of a company out of Portland. They use top-notch products manufactured locally offering the best warranty out there. And they warranty labor, as well.
