Homemasters installed a new gutter system on my home about a year ago. When the heavy rains came, a corner under my covered patio had a waterfall shooting down the valley between 2 roof pitches and over the corner, right onto the patio. I finally got around to calling Homemasters, to find that the company had changed hands. Regardless, they were ready to come out and survey the problem and offer a fix. Stefan came out and decided the solution was to open the grating over the gutters so large amounts of water had a better chance to go into the gutter. While talking I put forth an additional idea that I thought might help. A little while later, Keoni was sent out to fix my problem. When I climbed up the ladder to see how it had been handled, I was so surprised to see that not only had Stefan listened to my idea, but Keoni had fabricated something based on my idea and installed it along with opening up the gutter in the corner to accept more water volume. My patio has been dry as a bone ever since. I would like to praise both Stefan for actually listening to an out of the box idea, and for actually passing it on, and Keoni for taking it seriously, and taking the time and effort to make it a reality. We had a sudden flood of water into our family room during a March high wind/heavy rainstorm. We hired HomeMasters to investigate the failure of our 5 year-old "50 year" roof. Stefan and the insurance adjuster came to the same conclusion: incorrectly installed Air Intake Vents. While replacing the vents and nearby shingles above and below the vents, Jordan and Lucas found that the nails intended to fasten the shingles to the plywood roof sheathing were not long enough to penetrate the plywood. I decided to have HomeMasters remove both layers of shingles and re-roof the house. Jordan showed me a ten foot long 3' wide group of shingles that came off the roof by simply lifting one end. The lack of nail penetration was similarly evident in the majority of the roof. Jordan knew what we would need if I chose to approach the roofing company responsible for the lousy workmanship and provided about twenty-five photos. With tear-off complete but prior to installing the new roofing, with no rain in sight or forecasted for several days, the crew went home after a long day. That evening Lucas called. He had monitored the weather, saw a rainstorm coming, and was coming over to put down tarps to protect the house. He finished the job just before the storm hit. read more

We recently had Homemasters Battle Ground complete maintenance and repair work on our roof, including installing new gutters. The roof was first cleaned, then anti-ponding material was installed along with repairing worn paper and plywood on the 23-year old roof. Stefan provided a detailed estimate, and Austin and Tanner worked on the project to completion. Their work was outstanding, including updating us on what needed to be done and what they had been doing each day. They were thorough and complete with all their work, and the final clean up/walk-through showed all the excellent work done. While cleaning our gutters, I noticed moss on the roof. A neighbor recommended Homemasters and project manager Greg Gerson promptly responded. They have two moss-removal packages, and Greg advised that we did not need the more expensive one; I was impressed with his honesty. We left for vacation but Darren was there to do the work two days after we returned. Darren is a real pro and a very personal young man. He handled the job quickly and even pointed out two cracked roof vents that we didn't know about. He took photos of the vents to show us as well as other possible future problem areas on the roof. In the past, we have used one other moss removal company that charged twice the price, so Homemasters, with their great service and prices, is now our go-to. Great job! read more

I had Homemasters install a new roof last July. They scheduled it while we were going to gone to avoid the noise and inconvenience. we came home to wonderful new roof as promised. We had some issues with our bathroom fan not venting properly. It turned out not to be related to the roof installation but Bill and his team pursued the problem until they fixed it and never charged for the work. They painted the ceilings that had previously been stained and ended up painting the bathroom several times due to the fan problem which wasn't their fault. Everyone was great to work with, especially Austin Early who did all the painting. I obviously would recommend Homemasters for any work. read more

Another roof repair company punched over 200 holes in shingles causing us to need a complete roof replacement. Homemasters took much of the sting out of us having to replace the whole roof. They helped with the insurance company, showed up on time, got the job completed ahead of schedule and left the site spotless. Beautiful work. Would I recommend Whitlow Construction to do work for my family, friends and neighbors, absolutely. Had to have a few sheets of T-111 siding replaced and Bill was very meticulous in getting the new T-111 to match up with the old sheets. Impressed with that so I gave him the roofing replacement contract. In two days I had the old asphalt roof torn off, plywood inspected and "stiched" together where need, new roof felt fabric applied, new metal roof edging and great color for shingles nailed down. On windy evenings we would have a strange vibration that would shake one whole side of our house. This caused many sleepless night as the sound was very loud. We had another gutter company come out twice and they could not find the reason for the vibration. Rob and Jacob came out and diligently looked for the cause. There was a small piece of flashing between the gutter and the house that was not secured correctly. These guys were great and fixed the problem there hasn't been a vibration since.
