I understand everyone needs money to live but, today I was shown that she does not care about healthy teeth and smiles for others. I had a appointment booked over 3 weeks ago to have a filling on my son completed. I was on a cance list as his MSI was due to expire at Christmas. I made a point of letting reception know this also that I do not have any other medical. So today with no warning I register my son, they called me over to the payments desk and say I need to pay $200.00 for no show appointments....... Shocked I said I don't have a extra $200.00 it was going to cost $300.00 for his filling. I also did not have any missed appointments!!!! Her payment associate went out back to ask if she would see my son anyway and do his filling which I had the money for, Claire refused and referred the message of me to pay the no show appointment fees and come back another time when I had filling money. WOW that's all I can say. Imagine someone who supposedly isn't in it just for the cash turning a child away that was just in for a filling. An error on there end saying I was a no show for appointments and to be treated this way, I have never felt so looked down upon in my life! I will definitely be letting everyone know about my horrible experience today as well as finding a dentist that cares about providing a service in a professional manner!!

"Unbelievable" orthodontic consultant…read more I have already visited seven orthodontic clinic and this is the only one that neither do any professional check(e.g. x-ray, photo) nor free. All I did here is an assistant introduced me invisalign and braces, and then a doc came and did some simple check. Then the doc said: yes we could do it. Done. No advice, no plan. I even hesitate can they really do orthodontic treatment. The most surprised me part is it charge me without any informing. I have done this consultant in seven clinic and none of them charged me(while that maybe not usual), one of them informed me before I booked the appointment(so that I could decide if I would go). For general dentist request, I don't know. But for orthodontic, definitely not.

I got a check up with Dr. Lucy and then returned for a cleaning with the hygienist. When you enter through the double doors you'll find the waiting area and the reception desk with the three admins. There's a tv in one section of the waiting room and one in each of the rooms that I've been in for work. They took special care to find out if I was comfortable or had any anxiety about visiting the dentist. There is lots of free parking given that it's located in a large strip mall and it's across the street from the Dartmouth bus terminal for those taking transit. If you're looking for a new dental clinic, I definitely recommend this one. To note though, you'll need to go in for a special new patient appointment before they'll do any work on your teeth, so don't wait for a cavity!

Anyway, I called the office and it was about 10AM here so about 1PM there I suppose; and the phone continued to ring and ring. I hung up, and later tried again. No problem I said. So; I continued to wait for about 5 minutes, then suddenly the phone slammed down on my ear. I then called back and asked the receptionist why the phone was slammed down, and she said that she was busy. OKAY.....I said. I went on to mention the nature of my call, and she assured me that she would relay the message. I waited 3 days and no return of the message. I also sent emails. Still nothing. Sent them back an email in return stating that I"m glad I"m not a patient of theirs . That they can keep that type of practice is Dartmouth Nova Scotia where it belongs! Not nice people in my opinion.
