He picked the table up and returned it. For those of you who do not know what a drum table is, the center of the table goes around. Mine was badly broken causing the top to be very tilted. I told Mr Burkett, if he could not fix the table to turn and just have the top be connected to the part that turns, I would have him do the job. He came over and looked at it and said he was pretty confident he could fix it. I emailed Dovetail and included pictures of the piece. They responded that they could restore it and asked me to bring it in. I drove it over, they gave me a quote, and an expected finish date (I believe it was about a month away). I paid a deposit (half the restoration cost) when I dropped it off. When it was ready, I picked up and paid the remaining invoice amount. The restoration cost wasn't inexpensive, but the piece looks really good and their restoration may have given that piece some new life! It's ready to be used for another 50 years!
