This week they sent my broken Saito engine back to Horizon Hobby for repair. They did all the paperwork and packaging and covered the shipping cost. Two weeks later they called me to say that they have a brand new engine for me to pick up. No questions asked, no charge, not even for shipping. I can only imagine the heartburn I would have had to deal with if I had bought this engine online. We need to support our local hobby shop because their support is vital to us and our hobbies.

I was kidding the manager that soon they would to take over another storefront. It is JAMPACKED. And not just with your average stuff. You can get things here you'd have to hunt for anywhere else. The staff is ALWAYS kind, helpful and willing to include you in shenanigans. Customers are of all ages here. Young and old. Everyone is friendly and has a story to tell. The comic walls continue to grow to the ceiling and into the lobby which is full of cool toys, Magic cards, novels and comic wearables I haven't seen anywhere else. Got my son a supercool Godzilla hat (pictured) and a team up with the Avengers. They pull the things I want in case I can't make it in (or forget) which makes it all the better if you are a collector. It is clean and well organized and THE place for all my comic needs. There is no better value driving to a destination and finding more than you are looking for.

My boyfriend and I recently got into RC cars, and he has visited Riders a few times to pick up…read moreparts. Unfortunately, each visit has been disappointing. They often sell him the wrong items or are completely out of what he needs to get his RC car running. Most recently, he purchased a brushless motor they recommended, and we returned today hoping to buy a transmitter. To our surprise, we were informed that they wouldn't have any in stock until the end of August! To add to our frustration, they have a strict no-return policy, so we're stuck with parts that don't work for us. It's frustrating to rely on a shop that consistently misses the mark on customer needs and doesn't offer refunds for incorrect purchases. We won't be coming back and want to warn others to think twice before buying from them.
