They refused to sell me cards twice because my list wasn't submitted through email. I wouldn't recommend going there for cards unless you have to. The staff is Not very friendly. Store is in a seedy little strip mall on Saginaw, not terribly appealing from the outside. Upon entering the store it becomes pretty clear that the primary focus of the store is magic, but there's also a fair amount of warhammer. On top of those two things there are a fair amount of board games in the front of the shop as well. Despite that there is a decent collection of used, painted, and unpainted minis available that to me seemed pretty fairly priced. The staff was friendly, if a little subdued. Have been in quite a few times since my original post and have gotten to appreciate the store a lot more. The patrons are very friendly and the staff hangs out with them and plays games as well. Very large collection of scenery in the back room for warhammer or other tabletop games to be played. read more

This place abuses its customers. I have been abused by this place. In fact I usually don't make an account just to do this so it's pretty serious. They refuse proper customer service and have cliques of groups of people who they have as regulars. I had to report them for it to the BBB and the BBB informed me that they couldn't get involved because the store based on the proofs I sent them are a violation of constitutional rights. So I had to report them to the attorney general of the states office. I recently have been to other stores who have also said they are familiar with evolution games environment and do not like it. The only person who is decent is the store manager, Larry. If you go in you will find the rest of the workers barely even working. There is literally an entire group of individuals who refuse to go to that store. The owner of the store cares about his rating not about whether or not you have customer service. I wonder if it will let me give 0 stars Al though I have to give it at least one for the manager. The rest isn't worth taking your time to go there. Unless you like rude customer service and people talking behind your back. Not to mention all the reviews on the store are written by those usual customers who will in fact if they don't like you make you find other places instead. The other stores have two to three time the customers so think about it. If you enjoy being mistreated though this is definitely the place to go. read more

Evolution Games is a gaming store located on the west side of Lansing. It has several different sections. It sells a wide range of board and tabletop games covering basically the entire gaming spectrum. It also has a number of rooms for game playing, and often hosts gaming sessions and tournaments. There is a calendar at their web page with information on these sorts of events. There are also tables in many areas of the store, and a number of 'store copy' games so you can try them out before you buy (or just stop in to play a few games). If Evolution Games suffers from one problem it may be the fact that it has such a wide range of games limits the amount of space that can be allocated to any single area. The store, while a reasonable size, could be bigger. If you are into gaming, check it out. A good selection and friendly atmosphere. read more

If u like Magic the Gathering, then this is the place to play in Lansing. Beginner to expert, they've got you covered. From a knowledgable and friendly staff, to locating rare cards, EG is the spot. So don't waste your time getting stuck "in the Corner" with unfriendly, socially inept players, this place is by far the best place for standard tournaments, and draft play. read more

I have spent the last 8-9 years jumping around from LGS to LGS, and there have been some good experiences in the past and even some rather unpleasant ones, but after about a year of serious visits to this establishment, it has surpassed even my greatest expectations. The staff is wonderful and friendly with the regulars while not excluding any new faces, which is a difficult balance. I would give 6 starts if I could and 7-10 is the same story.
