They are good on most stuff but not so good on other stuff. I brought a mens bracelet in and she used a tape measure for measure ment. I googled it from Amazon 7.99 for a digital millimeter caliber tool for accuracy. measuring necklaces and bracelets. You need a more accurate tool than laying it down and trying to eyeball a millimeter on a tape measure taped to the countertop. so I think the owner but I'm not 100% sure look up a necklace to match my bracelet and try telling me it was for $5000 in a booklet she had.I just didn't come over on a boat. I know how much this necklace is. I've researched it everywhere around town online across America pawn shops. I know how much necklace should cost so they're trying to rob me for thousands of dollars thinking I was an idiot. But I had good experiences with getting things fixed and watch repair. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR RING HERE!! I took my ring in because the stone was loose. They said it would be a simple fix. I got it back and one of the prongs is still loose and now snagging which never was an issue before. And the DIAMOND IS CRACKED/CHIPPED. I work in a hospital setting so have not worn it up since picking it up until yesterday which was 10 days after I picked it up. I know it is my fault for not checking before leaving (but I work 7 days a week and was rushing) but this is unacceptable and there is no way this was there before. The manager even said if it had been they wouldn't have worked on it. So now it just magically appeared and is my fault? DON'T GO HERE. He says the original manufacturer did a crap job with the setting and it will never be right. We'll it was right before they had it and now is completely off center. If that was the case they should have let me know before or when picking it up. Sorry the pic is blurry but you get the gist. read more

A little jewelry shop tucked away in a corner of Frandor Shopping Center. While it may have a small location, this particular store was recommended to me by a jeweler who refused to adjust my watch. Little to say while the other jeweler won't be receiving my future business; Jewelry Doctor WILL BE! They have a rather large staff that is happy and eager to help. I had two watches re-sized in less than 20 minutes, and saw a cornucopia of customers come through.... none of whom had to wait. This is a busy place with a large and friendly staff prepped and ready to handle your jewelry repair needs. I had a watch battery replacement (on a watch where it is harder to get access to the battery) on the spot, which was much appreciated. I also left them in the care of some beloved antique garnet earrings, one of which had lost its post. I came back in a week, and the earrings looked like new (or, as new as antique earrings can appear). The staff had even polished them so they sparkled. Great prices, great work! read more

Awesome place! I had an old bracelet that needed a new clasp, and one of the guys (Richard I think?) was able to fix it on the spot while I waited. Only took him a few minutes, and he also polished it up for me, all for a great price. I was very pleased! I just had my wedding ring resized. When I went to pick it up it was still just a bit snug. Before I could get it off, a gentleman came to the counter to see the problem. He took the ring and about 10 minutes later I tried it back on and it fit satisfactorily. This is about my 5 or 6 experience over the last couple of years with this business. I always leave with a smile. They never fail to keep the customer happy the best they can. Great place, great people. Since this store is just over 55 miles from my house, it's not an everyday trip. All the praises from the other reviewers are true. It's a small store with attractive jewelry and very nice salespeople. I have had a watch fixed here and bought new and estate jewelry and have had several rings resized. No complaints. Pay a visit and then wander the Frandor mall. read more

They are very nice there. A while ago I broke part of the nose piece on glasses. They fixed them expertly when I didn't think they were fixable. Unfortunately, I accidentally damaged them again. Even though it was completely my fault, they fixed them at no charge. Very rare service in this day and age. read more

I was so worried when Wooden Skate closed that I would have no one to trust with my jewelry anymore. After not getting anything done for four years it became necessary to have a ring sized down a bit. I called around and was so happy to find Rick the owner didn't send the jewelry out,but instead did everything in house. I picked up the ring yesterday and it is perfect. Same gorgeous diamond perfectly fit to a size 5 . I truly could not be more pleased. I have several pieces that need repair and I will only go to the Jewelry Doctor from now on.
