I had just purchased the wipers from the Auto Zone and was trying to figure out how to remove the old ones. It's not often it rains in California, especially as heavy as it was this past week and today, and the car I drive belongs to my parents. I don't normally drive it Also, I'm a rather timid person, and I really get nervous about inconveniencing people, so I was trying to replace the wipers for the first time ever myself. I couldn't pull up a video bc I hit my high-speed data limit recently, so I was relying on a set of instructions off a website. As I was trying to figure this out, Gabriel stopped to help me out. He showed me how to distinguish the pin to unhook the wipers and how to put it on. I was super grateful and really appreciated the advice. He was very patient when teaching me what to look for. Definitely will ingrain those instructions to memory the next time my wipers need some replacing. It was a really informative learning opportunity! The drive was much less daunting now that I was able to see the road without the impediment of the heavy downpour, and I'm super glad we got that resolved before we continued the rest of our way. Previously had intermittent starting problems on my Camaro. Took it in (on the advice of a family…read morefriend who is a mechanic does a lot of work on my car). We explained what was going on and that we needed him run the diagnostic on it to figure out the exact issue when we dropped it off Saturday morning. He said he'd call me in the afternoon after he did it. So I call late in the afternoon (30 minutes before the close) and he told me that the problems was in my starting circuit. And he could do it to the tune of $160-170. He said he'd have to start on Monday. Understandable. I asked if it would be done on Monday. He said yes. I work over 100 miles away from my residence. I leave at 5am, and usally don't get back until 6:30 or so (if I'm lucky). I took off work based on what he told me, so that I could pick up the car and pay him when it was done. I call on Monday @ 11 to see what time he'd be done. He tells me he's gonna start on it. He needs more time because he want's to be sure what the problem is. Why would you tell me it's going to be done on a specific day for a specific price if you don't even know what's wrong with it? If he had been honest, I wouldn't have taken off work and lost an entire day's pay. Now I need to find someone else to take it to, and waste more of my time and money.

Immediately I was glad I did, as Arman showed up the next day with his van full of tools and his decades of auto mechanic experience. Arman methodically went through every part of my car replacing things that needed replacing (battery, corroded battery cables, leaking fuel pump, leaking brake cylinder) and at same time not replacing things that I was sure needed replacing (such as the 4 flat tires that I feared were dry rotted and the brake pads which had become rusted shut after 11 years of sitting, but Arman assured me they were all okay...and it turns out Arman was right they are completely okay saving me tons of money). JB Auto is now closed, and for good reason...they are THIEVES!…read more I was highly referred to them by another mechanic whom I trust and respect and the first couple of times I used them, they actually did do good work and for a reasonable price (after negotiating). After "trying them out", I gave them a MUCH bigger job for most of the electronic work on a classic Bronco rebuild I was doing. Long story short, Armando took it upon himself to do stuff that's out of his wheelhouse and take a dremel to my dash to make holes for 2 switches that needed to go in there, and he destroyed the dash. He made the holes far too big and completely crooked. I was left with no choice but to take the car to a welder to redo the metal dash. He still had several things to finish up and although I wanted him to do most of them before I had to take the truck to the welder and paint, he insisted I take them to those 2 shops before bringing it back for him to finish the job (which almost all of it was paid for) and he would refund me the money I paid to fix what he damaged. Well, when I came back about 10 days later (as we had discussed), his shop was closed and some guy from the adjacent business came out to tell me that he closed down his shop and had known about it for quite some time. So he knowingly screwed me, BUT, karma is a bi#ch, and I'm sure it's business dealings like that, that led to that lowlife not being able to keep the doors to his shop open...

These guys communicated well, but are very dishonest and do low quality work…read more I brought my car in for a clutch replacement and they screwed everything up and then lied about it. I brought my car back 2 additional times to give them the opportunity to fix it and they didn't. They did not perform the work promised. The work they did perform was done poorly. Entire front left suspension left loose (almost came apart while driving) Wrong oil used in the transmission Clutch not properly bled Missing hardware between engine and transmission Did not lubricate important parts of the transmission Missing vent lines Entire plastic skid plate fell off on the freeway The work they performed was done later than scheduled. Spent several weeks and weekends without a car They used lower quality parts than promised. Cheap aftermarket parts did not function correctly and had to be replaced They tried to identify other problems with my car then screwed those up. A.C. had pressure released and caps broken off in service port Engine idle control was taken off and re-installed incorrectly and now leaks There is a reason their prices are low ... they use low quality parts and do low quality work. They will mess your car up. I had to pay for an inspection by Honda ($110) and file a dispute with my credit card in order to get my money back. Buyer beware.
