Tuesday morning started out normal. We woke up early, fed the cats, ate breakfast, and loaded up our gear into the Red Panda. You see the kiddo, and I are what you would call Superhero's. You may know me as Lunchbox. I can pretty much eat anything. She is known as Fire Girl, both for her temper and the ability to control the element associated with her name. Unfortunately, our secret identities must have been compromised. Fire Girl was the first one to make the tail who was following us. "Lunchbox look out" While I was able to ditch the first car, I was almost sideswiped by the second car that was barreling down on us. I yanked the parking brake, veered hard to the right, and pulled The Red Panda onto two wheels. It was my last-ditch effort to avoid being hit. Alas, while Fire Girl and I escaped unharmed my poor Red Panda suffered quite the injury to her right rear rim. On Wednesday, I contacted Dr. Wheel. In minutes Samantha was texting me. She asked for my contact information and pictures of the damage so that she could provide a quote for me. Once she provided the quote, she asked for a deposit to secure the appointment. On Thursday, Esteban arrived early to his appointment. When I went outside, I was greeted with a smile. He asked me if I had any questions. I was concerned about overspray. But he explained that he uses an airbrush that is very precise and has never had complaints about overspray. Once I saw his gear It made more sense to me, and I was very confident in his skills. All of this deserves five stars. However, I hear that they also donate food to the needy. Like Esteban said before he drove off. I hope I never have to see them again. But If I do have an issue with curb rash again. I will without a doubt come back to Dr Wheel. Easy to deal with, quality work, and even more important Dr. Wheel values my time.

Esteban is a true magician. I had 2 rims that needed repair. One was a rock chip I got on the freeway as well as curb rash. And the other rim curb rash. Solid company - that doesn't mess around. I sent them some work that needed to be done on wifeys car, they quoted virtually and didn't try and change pricing on us in person. Work was completed within an hour, and it looked like nothing ever had happened! Curb rash is a real thing, but this company is too! They'll make that anxiety disappear ahahaha. Dr. Wheel definitely came to the rescue (and fast) when I accidentally cut too soon out of a parking spot near a low curb and scraped my brand new Rotiform wheels. Heart shattered, I searched Al Gore's internet far and wide to find a local service to repair my wheel at a reasonable price as quickly as possible. I couldn't dare be seen with curb rash on my clean whip. Scheduling was very easy and Jesse got me confirmed in no time at all. My technician, Ivan, was polite and professional. He even arrived earlier than expected and got the job done with the quickness. Oh but don't think he rushed it at all, he's just THAT good and got my wheel looking exactly as it did when I unboxed them. Heaven forbid it happens again, but if it does, I'm calling Dr. Wheel without a doubt! They also warranty their work for up to one year! read more

This is about my recent experience about their customer service . I have used them for years at least 10 repairs done in past 3 years. I scheduled repair on a tuesday afternoon since I live in San Diego . I told them i am only in Temecula in after noon yet they scheduled me 1215 and called me at 10 am and told me they were on there way. I told them I wouldnt be there till 1pm. So they no showed me and charged me. I am a doctor and if I ran my business like these people do I would be out of business . Instead of trying to work with me they lost me as agood customer . I referred 3 other people who I now told dont use them and have gone elsewhere. There scheduler is rude and it wasnt like this in the past but i would go elsewhere. read more

These guys are on point and their customer service was awesome. A heavy duty tire shop damaged my wheel in an only option after hours tire repair and I thought I was going to have to replace my wheel. I "curbed" one of rims on my Range Rover Autobiography. Esteban came out on time and did an amazing job repairing my rim. After completion I'm unable to tell where the original damage was. I highly recommend Dr. Wheel and will most certainly use them again if needed. I found that contacting a "call center" to get a scratched wheel repaired seemed not personal. I call it a call center because when i called, i was asked what city i was this regarding LA, Riverside etc... After a brief back and fourth via yelp messenger, it was clear this process was not for me. Samantha was extremely nice, but what secured my decision to not use this establishment was the unknown person interrogating me because after I thought I secured an appointment, I apparently did not follow up from a text that I thought was spam. To each thier own... I ended up going with Trundle Wheel Repair. They gave me the personal experience that I was looking for. read more

However, I do expect a repair to be comparable to other curb rash repairs I've had in the past. Because my wheel only had a mild case of rash, I decided to try a mobile service this time instead of my usual dedicated wheel shop. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. Communication was poor; our first appointment fell through entirely, despite me confirming the time and providing the location via Yelp. When he finally did show up, he tried to charge me more than the agreed-upon price and I had to show him our message history just to verify it. While he managed to get the job done, the actual repair work speaks for itself (see photos). As you can see in the "before" picture, the damage was minimal. In the "after" picture, the original rash was replaced with a rough patch that actually extended to the inner edge; an area that wasn't even damaged initially. Further down the rim, there was a visible dust nib and a glob of paint on a previously perfect section. When I immediately pointed out these flaws, the technician was very dismissive. However, he eventually scheduled me for a touch-up/repaint to address my complaints, but then completely ghosted me. To top it all off, the repair lacked any real durability; despite being promised a one-year warranty against chipping and bubbling, the paint chipped on its own just a few weeks later. I am unsatisfied with this service to say the least. If you want quality results that last, I highly recommend bypassing this mobile service and taking your business to a dedicated wheel repair shop.

It keep losing air to the point that the tires side walls cracked and it was time for new tires all around. But again, the tire kept losing air so it had to be the rim. After contacting a few places, Jason's Wheel replied with a reasonable quote and I scheduled the visit. Not sure if i spoke to Jason, but he informed me after a short wait that it seemed to have been the balancing weight at the edge of the rim causing the air loss. They removed it cleaned it and rebalanced the wheel and i was on my way in less than 30 min and a much lower cost than quoted. I'm still baffled that neither of the tire places removed the weight or even recognized that it could be the issue. Now i know they can't be trusted in that matter. Sad really. Now, a week later after Jason's magic repair, the tire is still keeping it's air. If i ever have any wheel/run issues I know who to go to. Highly recommend Jason's Wheel Repair!

My new car, and I damaged a rim on a curb. I was dismayed. I called Dr. Wheel and was impressed with Tonya's courtesy and eagerness to help. She arranged to have someone come to my house that very day. When he was delayed by especially bad traffic, Tonya called to let me know and then went even further--calling me with updates. The worker arrived and finished the work in just over 30 minutes. I was delighted and surprised for two reasons. First, the work was flawless. The badly scraped wheel looked new. Second, in the world we've created, it has become almost impossible to find anyone willing and able to perform quality work. We all have the same experiences: gardeners who will do nothing but mow and blow (and that rather poorly), house cleaners who don't clean, mechanics who seem to know very little about fixing cars. The sad tales go on and on. So to find a company that takes pride in doing a job well . . . now that is something to praise. I therefore give Dr. Wheel my highest recommendation. read more

Contacted Dr. Wheel based on the Yelp reviews. My wife had done the concrete curb scrape on the right front wheel of her new car. The wheels were machined and Dr. Wheel let me know upfront that because of the machined wheel, the color might not match. Went ahead and made the appointment for the following day. The tech showed up on time and again warned us about the color. We told him to go ahead and do what he could. I dare anybody to look at the wheel and say it's been fixed. The tech did a great job and everything looks great. Will definitely recommend and use again, if necessary. read more

Customer service was good. Very nice, however, aside from customer service, the work part (paint on rim) was terrible. I am not one to leave bad Yelp reviews, but I just couldn't believe what a terrible job they did. Aside from them not painting the rim of the car, they only painted the edge (the face of the rim), and the part that was painted looked terrible. Ultimately, they agreed not to charge me; although I appreciate that, I still have to pay someone else to remove and redo the rim properly. read more
