Dr Shanchuk has been my primary doctor for almost 20 years, also my sons'. I am writing this because I just read negative reviews of her. God knows why people have negative reviews. I was dealing with an autoimmune disorder, and for years, I can pledge that she is a very kind, good doctor, with good knowledge. I can see she is also knowledgeable in diet and natural healing. The negative comments are either from competition or people who love to criticize, no matter what. Or have some clinical imbalance. She is very busy, because people like it. Most of her patients have been with her for years. Dr. and her staff are always professional. During the time of COVID-19, I was hospitalized for three days. I realized her office did not accept my new insurance. Dr. Shanchuk, without pay, would take care of me for 3 days to make sure I was in good hands. Just because she was my doctor for so long. My adult son loves her, too. Speaks very highly of her knowledge and professionalism. All this can be verified. So, I have no idea how someone can write bad comments about her. No one asked me to write these comments. I just happened to read all comments, and I could not believe. read more

I have been a patient for 12 years. Dr refuses to see my mother because her primary insurance is Federal Medicare and her secondary is Blue Cross Blue Shield. This office is ONLY worried about MONEY. I'm actively looking for a new Dr as well. read more

Stay away from Shanchuk unless you want your life to be cut short. Nobody cares less about her patients/victims. This doctor is a nut job!!! Will never forget how she destroyed my mother with Alzheimer's disease. My mother has passed since but it was after her careless ways with my mother. My mother lasted three months after her care and my mother had been very steady before she stepped in. A one star is a joke but that is the lowest the scale went and if I could of went a trillion stars down from one that is what I would of gave her. read more

I have been with Shanchuk for a few years I've never had a Dr as caring and that listened as she is. I love her honesty and how fast she gets things done images, blood work and referrals. I would never chose to go to another Dr. Sometimes there is a wait but I understand that is because she is a good dr taking care of patient before me. read more

If I can give lower than that, I would. My wife switched to her office due to insurance change and after seeing her reviews, we picked her. Dr Shanchuk herself is ok but her office is terrible. Don't return calls and always lie. My wife had neck and shoulder pain and numbness and needed MRI to see specialist but her office could not get order ready in 2 months. My wife had to suffer through so much pain due to their sloppy work. She reached out to their office twice a week and each time some lie. Finally, looks like we need to move on and find a good PCP with nice responsive staff. Please be careful while selecting her office. read more

I would like to recommend Dr. Yelena Shanchuk as a wonderful primary care physician. I had become very ill last winter when someone gave me the name of Dr. Shanchuk. I cannot tell you how impressed I am with the quality of care I receive from Dr. Shanchuk and the entire staff. I am getting older and have had no good tales to tell until now of my medical care experience, quite the opposite. Thanks to Dr. Shanchuk and her high standards, attention to detail, observational skills and ability to communicate, I feel very confident that I am getting the best of care. My doctor approved my breo medication with a prior authorization form to my insurance company. My insurance approved the medication. I then had the prescription transferred to another location and then the insurance read it as a refill and wanted a new prior authorization form to approve the medication they already covered and approved. Then my doctor refused to submit my prior authorization for my medication that she had already approved. The office manager is rude and disrespectful. I simply asked for help in getting my medication filled and my issues resolved with no success. The office manager then accused of 'wasting doctor Yelena Shanchuk's time'. I was fully cooperating. I agreed to try the new medication and to see a pulmonologist yet I'm still having a hard time breathing. The office manager threw it in my face that I wasn't able to see the doctor for nearly 2 years. I had to explain it was because Medicaid dropped the ball on their end and booted me off the medical card. I finally get approved and get it fixed for July 1st 2019 I then see my doctor who I couldn't wait to see and she completely mistreated me. The staff members refuse to send my calls to someone higher up so I can report my complaints and concerns for my poor treatment at this facility by not only the doctor and stands but also the office manager. I will call Medicaid and blue cross to see who else I can address my complaints and concerns to. I would defiantly NOT RECOMMEND this doctor or this office to anyone I know. I'm order to see a pulmonologist I would need to make an appointment which I am in the process of doing but in the meantime I am a caregiver and rely heavily on my breo inhaler as I was born an asthmatic. I would need something to help me through until I can get an apt with the pulmonologist yet my doctor refuses to assist or comply. I will be raising my concerns and poor treatment to many people who will hear me and help me since I can't get the proper help from Yelena Shanchuk and her office staff and office manager. read more

At 63 years old I can tell your there were no doctors that took care of me as Dr. Shanchuk has. I was struck that Dr. Shanchuk's bedside manners were "off the chart" (and that goes for her support staff too). Previous PCP's would give me maybe 5 minutes of their time and then it was off to the next patient. Dr. Shanchuk takes whatever time is necessary to examine and diagnosis your illness or other malady. What I've discovered is the doctor doesn't pack 100 patients in a one hour time-frame, instead she and her staff schedule patients in such a manner as to provide the high level of personal service one hopes for (of course I expect one day I might sit a bit as the doctor comes back a little tardy after tending to patients under her care at the hospital, but so far so good). They double book patients. I had 11am appointments and I saw they booked 3 other patients for 11 o'clock appointment with the same Doctor. Needless to say I had to wait one hour in the waiting room. The front desk girl is very rude and held on to my insurance and driving license card for the entire hour. I asked her if she is done and she said no. This is my first and last time in this office. read more
